How old is everyone and how long have you been swinging?

Recommended Posts

Hey kids,

We are 55 (F) and 63 (M). We have been together for 22 years and married for 19 years. We started looking at the lifestyle several years ago and got involved last year. Our only regret is that we didn't start MUCH sooner.

40(m) 36(f) been swinging since 2002, saw HBO special on swinging, Marie started to really enjoy FF scenes in porn, and we moved away from our small hometown, giving us some anonymity.

Now we will dabble in the life forever I think. We have been too busy for the last several years to get out together, or alone for that matter, but we are both definatley getting the old itch back, and are talking about making more of an effort to get adult time.

The kids being older - reading, and computer savvy has slowed us down alot.

We started out late in life, to the wonderful world of swinging. I am 62 and my wife is 56.

The reason I talked my wife into swinging, is because I have E.D. I told her, just because I can't have sex with you, doesn't mean you should do with out ! We have been swinging , 5 years now and I am happy, that my sexy wife is being satisfied. She enjoys sex ! What more can I say ? LOL !! Jim

I'm 35 and my wife is 38, I've been swinging since, well, since before I was old enough to know what swinging was.

I was 16 at the time and she became my first wife. We were together for 13 years and lived the life the whole time.

My second wife is new to this. She's only been at it for two years off and on.

Hey hey...... I am 29 (nearly 30) and I have been swinging for over 10 years now, started very young at 19, in fact could say younger than that because the first time this idea crossed my mind and really turned me on I was only 15 years old, and that became a reality at just 19 and since then its fair to say I have learnt a lot.

We both will turn 70 this week and this is our 50th year of marriage--to each other! Our first swing experience was 30+ years ago, and we hope to have a few more yet.

We are both 35 and my hubby K and I have been together for 15 years.

We started our exploration into the lifestyle the wrong way... I cheated but we learned a lot through that time and it definitely made us stronger. We gradually realized that we had both sexual and emotional needs that went beyond the two of us.

About 8 years ago we started swinging and our exploration of what alternative relationships really meant to us. Emotionally, we developed much more slowly and began to appreciate the fact that above all else, we love each other unconditionally.

About 5 years ago we decided to open our marriage and have not looked back. Its not without difficulty but the challenges we have worked through have made us stronger still. I am in love with my best friend and that will never change!

I'm 69 years old.... My husband is 67 years old, soon to be 68....

My husband and I have been in the lifestyle for over 40 years now.... We were both in the lifestyle before we met in early 1970.... I with my first husband for about six years, and he with his second wife for about six years.... So when we met, we were already on the same page about sexual things....

Back then it was called an "Open Relationship" or "Open Marriage".... We both liked to call it an "Open Relationship", when talking to others that interest us....

We are 42(him) & 40(her) respectively. We're very new as in only a couple experiences in the past couple of months. We have been together for 20+ years and wondered why it took us this long to get to where we are or if maybe for some it just takes that long. Either way, we're very happy where we are.

We are both now 64, married 41 years. Our first swinging experience was 12 years ago. She had just turned 52, didn't think that a new and different cock would do anything more for her, but she finally decided to try and it was awesome. Have slowed down since we passed 60 but have some great memories to relive.

He is next to 66 yrs and she is just 46+ and while married nearly 8 yrs we have been together for 16+ yrs. We were in an open relationship from the get-go, each of us starved within dying marriages. The arrangement worked so well we married and for a time were monogamous until that old 'hunger returned'. Now we're having our cake and ice creme too!

I wondered how many of us have been married a number of years? It seems that a lot of us have been. I wanted to see a how many Swinger Marriages last.

So how many years have you been married?
    • By Numex
I'm new here, visited this site because my wife and i are open with having sex with other people and done so some in the past. When I was still young i thought i would only marry a woman that had been only with me. Then after i found out that my fiance had screwed another guy i thought it was OK, or even hot. But overall she had fewer partners than me. Later, both my first wife and my now wife have both had more partners than me, my first wife a few more but then she fucked other guys while we were engaged and married, and my current wife a LOT more. so my attitude has changed considerable since I was young and first dating.

      My question is-
Before you got married did you have any limits about how many previous sex partners your wife had that would be too many?

Women are welcome to contribute too. Thanks to all of you.

I searched the forum but haven't found anything on the topic, so let us know: is wearing your wedding or engagement ring mandatory when swinging, mandatory only in special circumstances such a playing alone or at the first meeting or swing session, or not an issue?

If wearing a ring is something you do, then explain whether it is a sign of commitment or done because it is a turn-on. Thanks.

Why do people use "divorce" as a threat when upset?

It is like the catch phrase of the times. If you step out of line
It is divorce. In our relationship, that isn't even a word in our vocabulary, I think we are strange, as the divorce rate is 52% on this continent. Maybe it was our upbringing, but it isn't even a option, let alone a word used out of anger. Are marriage vows that meaningless that we can throw the D word around like it means nothing. I think i was born in the wrong time. I belive in the old ways you married someone for life.

I can understand if there is abuse or cheating but it seems in todays society there is no reason to small to warrent a divorce, actually you don't need a real reason at all.

So maybe the way this should go is for those of us who have never been divorced, What is your secret to a great longlasting marriage?

Ours communication, honesty and intimacy, It has worked for 12 yrs.so far.

We discussed this idea here before (I think) that of how it seems so many couples who swing are in their second (or more) marriage.

I was having a conversation with a (divorced) friend of mine tonight and he made the comment that once you've been divorced it is much easier to see what makes a relationship work (whether it be yours or someone else's) and what is bad for a relationship.

So that got me back to the idea that often swinging couples are not on their first relationship so I thought I'd pose this thought/question to you and see what you think about it.

First off (see the poll above) is this your first, second, third marriage? Assuming you are even married, of course. And if you are not on your first marriage, do you think that having been married previously helped you to see why swinging may be a good thing in this relationship? Do you think going through a bad relationship helped improve your communication skills to the point where you could even discuss such ideas?
