We're both 51, married 33 years, have been in the lifestyle for 13. For us, the marriage and the lifestyle have both been rewarding in their own way. Each has redefined us and we feel has made us more understanding and giving people.

Him 43 and her 41.

We've been married for nearly 16 years and loved almost every minute of it.

We first discussed playing with others in early 2006 and by Christmas of that same year we were "all-in".

We're both 41. Our first serious discussion about swinging took place this past July, we met a cpl for the first time in October, and we had first full encounter this past weekend!!

i'm 23 and the bf is 29.

Been swinging for barely a month and the bf got me interested in the idea. Only had one threesome (with him and another guy), though i'm currently involved with an older guy with my bf's permission.

I am 41.....Hubby is 36...We have been together 10 yrs and in the LS almost 2 years. We however have taken things pretty slow whether due to health (I have had 3 surgeries in the last 2 yrs), work or lack of opportunity.

My wife is 33 and I'm 34.

We've been together since high school and married for 5 years.

We had our first MFM threesome when I was 19. We fooled around with friends a bit (as a couple) for a few years after that ('til kids).

Only discovered "The Lifestyle" a few years ago (3-4?) and we're having a great time!

Well we're pretty new to the lifestyle still looking into it more over then living it currently, we're 24 and 20...

Anyways As I'm sure you'll hear this a lot, feel free and take the time to check out the many post of others on here, you'll find pretty much all the information you'll need and the best part is everyone here is really cool and respectful which make things that easier to feel comfortable learning about the lifestyle...

For us, the more we hear the more we learn the more excited we are to take a dive into the lifestyle, we're already looking for a right someone to join us which does say a lot! :hahaha:

She's 41 and I'm 40. Been researching the lifestyle for a while and having many long, late night conversations regarding what we want. Attending our first on-premise club on the 31st. We are both very excited. She has been having fun searching for the "right" outfit to wear, and I've been having fun watching her try on different things.

Ok, Mr. J. I know this is a hijack thread, but I'm very curious to hear the story between the 20 years since you met and the 6 years you have been married...

At the moment we are both 45 (for a few more months anyways, then I'll be 46-eek! lol)

We've been together for 15 months and swinging together for 7 months of that. I know that some couples would shy away from us because we aren't married, oh well, their loss. We are committed to each other and put each other first and we've even bought a house together and are living together. What can I say? When it's right, it's right!

I wondered how many of us have been married a number of years? It seems that a lot of us have been. I wanted to see a how many Swinger Marriages last.

So how many years have you been married?
    • By Numex
I'm new here, visited this site because my wife and i are open with having sex with other people and done so some in the past. When I was still young i thought i would only marry a woman that had been only with me. Then after i found out that my fiance had screwed another guy i thought it was OK, or even hot. But overall she had fewer partners than me. Later, both my first wife and my now wife have both had more partners than me, my first wife a few more but then she fucked other guys while we were engaged and married, and my current wife a LOT more. so my attitude has changed considerable since I was young and first dating.

      My question is-
Before you got married did you have any limits about how many previous sex partners your wife had that would be too many?

Women are welcome to contribute too. Thanks to all of you.

I searched the forum but haven't found anything on the topic, so let us know: is wearing your wedding or engagement ring mandatory when swinging, mandatory only in special circumstances such a playing alone or at the first meeting or swing session, or not an issue?

If wearing a ring is something you do, then explain whether it is a sign of commitment or done because it is a turn-on. Thanks.

Why do people use "divorce" as a threat when upset?

It is like the catch phrase of the times. If you step out of line
It is divorce. In our relationship, that isn't even a word in our vocabulary, I think we are strange, as the divorce rate is 52% on this continent. Maybe it was our upbringing, but it isn't even a option, let alone a word used out of anger. Are marriage vows that meaningless that we can throw the D word around like it means nothing. I think i was born in the wrong time. I belive in the old ways you married someone for life.

I can understand if there is abuse or cheating but it seems in todays society there is no reason to small to warrent a divorce, actually you don't need a real reason at all.

So maybe the way this should go is for those of us who have never been divorced, What is your secret to a great longlasting marriage?

Ours communication, honesty and intimacy, It has worked for 12 yrs.so far.

We discussed this idea here before (I think) that of how it seems so many couples who swing are in their second (or more) marriage.

I was having a conversation with a (divorced) friend of mine tonight and he made the comment that once you've been divorced it is much easier to see what makes a relationship work (whether it be yours or someone else's) and what is bad for a relationship.

So that got me back to the idea that often swinging couples are not on their first relationship so I thought I'd pose this thought/question to you and see what you think about it.

First off (see the poll above) is this your first, second, third marriage? Assuming you are even married, of course. And if you are not on your first marriage, do you think that having been married previously helped you to see why swinging may be a good thing in this relationship? Do you think going through a bad relationship helped improve your communication skills to the point where you could even discuss such ideas?
