  1. Regulating sex: Uncharted waters in the suburbs. -USA Today Three months ago, Warren invested what she said was her life savings to open another club with her fiancé in West Chester Township, a Cincinnati suburb. With a location secured, she only needed a zoning permit and license to operate a "sexually-oriented business." After several meetings and discussions with township officials, she got the permit and license with no resistance. In fact, when the general public found out about Warren’s plans, the township defended her. Officials said she did everything right. A week later, Community Development Director Michael Juengling rescinded Warren’s license and permit. ************************* Warren says that, because of the township's actions, she is stuck in a multiyear lease, out about $100,000 and struggling to understand what went wrong. Funny, in the states everyone focuses on the "big elections", but the fact is, no one can make your life more miserable than a locally elected official.
  2. It's considered a "Superspreader Event" Seriously, I know we're all careful with protection from STI / STD's when we're out playing -- but holy cow, people! -- masks just aren't going to be enough. Also, "Police".
  3. While this is news, it is not particularly positive news. Re: Jerry Falwell, Jr and his family, for example here: https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-falwell-relationship/ Here are the first two paragraphs of the report: WASHINGTON – In a claim likely to intensify the controversy surrounding one of the most influential figures in the American Christian conservative movement, a business partner of Jerry Falwell Jr has come forward to say he had a years-long sexual relationship involving Falwell’s wife and the evangelical leader. Giancarlo Granda says he was 20 when he met Jerry and Becki Falwell while working as a pool attendant at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel in March 2012. Starting that month and continuing into 2018, Granda told Reuters that the relationship involved him having sex with Becki Falwell while Jerry Falwell looked on. Ignoring the political aspects of the timing of all of this, there are some takeaways. 1. Political leanings are irrelevant to biological drives, sexual fantasies, and the behaviors that follow. 2. The problems arise from the evident hypocrisies: preaching 'family values' (however defined) while practicing something beyond a standard of marital monogamous heterosexuality. 3. Institutions and groups that perpetuate such hypocrisies typically respond the same way, namely by denouncement and expulsion of the person(s) who have been "found out" and restatement of the institutional/group value. 4. There is a business dispute including accusations of extortion folded into all of this. It is absurd to imagine that leaders are somehow immune from fantasies and the intentions to act on those fantasies. What would be more helpful are commonsense boundaries between public and private lives as well as reasonable display of integrity. Even then, humans find ways to accommodate 'sinful behaviors' while embracing integrity: Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds? Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! [a croupier hands Renault a pile of money] Croupier: Your winnings, sir. Captain Renault: [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much. [aloud] Captain Renault: Everybody out at once! Neither the evangelical community nor Mr. Falwell's employers should be "shocked, shocked" to find that (even) their annppointed spokesperson enjoyed variety in sexual expression, apparently with the knowledge and consent and participation of his wife of 34 years. Adopting the usual denouncement-and-expulsion-upon-being-found-out strategy ("Do as we say, not what he did!--He was weak and you must be strong!") merely reinforces the idealized pretense of purity. The reality is that tensions between sexual suppression and sexual expression are as old as civilization. While individuals and institutions can impose rules on themselves and set expectations for others, a bit of realism would be welcome: the aforementioned tensions cannot be "wished away". At the same time, business dealings with playmates might be predicted to end badly, as appears to have happened in this case. The Reuters article concludes: In a statement released Friday, before news of the relationship with Granda became public, Liberty University said its “decision whether or not to retain Falwell as president has not yet been made.” Its board of trustees, the statement read, “requested prayer and patience as they seek the Lord’s will and also seek additional information for assessment.”
  4. New Year’s Eve Swingers Party At Sacramento Hotel Gets Mixed Reaction You just never know where a party might be. Checking into a Doubletree with a family might be more than you thought it would be.
  5. My sweetie and I were discussing the legalities of house parties. There is a very good chance our questions and concerns have been discussed in the forum. But my searches have not revealed the answers we are looking for as such. This all started with a vanilla friend/employee of ours, a paramedic, telling us about this "shocking" run he recently had at a club for a potential heart attack. (BTW - the idea of swingers clubs just blew his mind...due to work relationship we stayed mute.) The query is...what are the issues surrounding illegal activities as related to house parties? I say they can be raided. He says no since on private property, unless police are called for noise ordinance. Which he feels would not jeopardize guests, only owners. I have also taken the stand that if money is charged for the party now we have a pay-for-sex issue. I am unable to explain to him what the underlying justification for police raiding may be. Any takers?
  6. I was speaking to my brother over Xmas about relationships and sex, mainly as my niece is now 13 and showing strong signs of sexual interest in boys. This lead to discussions on ages of consent and at what ages what should be allowed. He wants her to be 18 but accepts this won't happen. And we both considered we were 13 and 15 when we lost our virginities and consider this to be fine. What are others thoughts on the age of consent? What do think is the ideal age for first sex? Does it make a difference what it is and who it's with (e.g. heavy petting, kissing, oral sex, penetration, and with someone close in age or doesn't it matter?). It appears different countries have different laws on this. Ages range from 13 to marriage. Some have close in age exceptions. Please let me know your thoughts. I'll put a poll up to. Post when you lost your virginity if you wish. Parents what are your expectations on your children? Thanks.
  7. This definitely doesn’t fall under “best practices” for organizing lifestyle events: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/27/nyregion/nycha-bronx-staff-sex-parties.html “The litany of problems facing public housing residents in New York City — mold, lead paint, faulty boilers and leaky roofs — just got longer: claims of staff sex parties. The entire 40-person staff of a housing development in the Bronx was reassigned over the weekend after residents complained that some workers had been drinking and having sex on the job. Male and female supervisors at Throggs Neck Houses engaged in erotic activities with their subordinates for months — both inside and outside the buildings, said Monique Johnson, the president of the development’s resident association.”
  8. I have been asked many times over the years when a nude person or persons are naked except for body paint covering their privates or their whole body, are they naked? I have been to Fremont's Solstice Parade, Key West Florida's Fantasy Fest, a lot of festivals all over the U.S. where in public places with large crowds of people all ages, people's nude bodies are covered in body paint. They say it's legal because technically they are not naked because their skin is covered. What do you fine folks say?
  9. Southeast Venture pays $1.3M for swingers club property Southeast Venture’s development arm has paid $1.3 million for the building at 700 Division St. that’s home to a private swingers club. The acquisition is the Nashville-based real estate brokerage firm’s latest purchase of property in that area between SoBro and the Gulch where Metro plans the proposed Division Street extension. The Social Club’s owners couldn’t be reached to ascertain their future plans.
  10. So, he'll have to shut down the wildlife center. Yes, really. Squirrels and Swingers. Colorado man defends passions after police raid For the last few years he has maintained this unusual combination of interests, protecting the former while promoting the latter, running a wildlife rescue center and a swingers club in Colorado – on the same premises. Or he did. Seifert, 53, is due up in court on felony charges in November after the state raided his business in Littleton, near Denver, and put a stop to the controversial side of his activities. That would be squirrel rescue, apparently. His animal sanctuary has been shut down. His swingers club, Scarlet Ranch, is still going gangbusters and currently revving up for “the biggest Halloween party ever”, he told the Guardian.

  12. I recently archived an eleven year old thread about whether or not swinging and marijuana mix. Things are certainly much different today than they were in 2004, so I'm thinking a new thread about our current reality might be interesting. This thread will start out a bit U.S. centric, so my apologies to the international audience if this is a bit of a bore. However, your insight, experiences and thoughts are more than welcome. Just no picking on us puritans. Marijuana use has been legalized in a few states, and it appears that if things continue, at some point every state will legalize the weed at some level. So, if/when pot is legal in your state, how will you handle the mixing of swinging and pot? Does legalization change your boundaries about what is and isn't acceptable as far as bringing these two things together?
  13. Sex club owner feels violated, says county wrong to deny license - Tuesday, May 25, 2010 | 2 a.m. - Las Vegas Sun When swinger David Cooper moved from Roman Catholic-dominated El Paso, Texas, to Las Vegas, he figured he was going to the most open place in the U.S. for sexually oriented businesses. Las Vegas, after all, advertises itself as the mecca for naughty adults. But after a few years, his new hometown turned out to be, in his opinion, a den of hypocrisy. Is this a second separate lawsuit in two months? Know anything about this one Lee?
  14. Mr. Sunbuckus brought to my attention a news story of the house party we recently went to. We were a bit concerned for the neighbors because the music did seem rather loud while we were walking up to the house. But other than that, it was a definite improvement from their previous party that we attended as well. Very crowded and lots of action. **These are the usual big-type of house parties that are the norm here. The really good small, private parties are by invite only.
  15. I'm so glad I found this board! I never knew it existed! We used to host private house parties several years ago before we had kids. It was just a few couples and very informal. Now that the kids are older and not as dependent on us, we can have them do sleepovers at Auntie's house or Gramma and Grampa's house. We would like to host larger scale house parties. I've read with interest (and doom) about the issues of undercovers coming in, the media, crappy neighbors, etc. About the issue of having to pay taxes on a business, create a private club, etc. This is what we want to do in particular. Let me say up front that we do not plan on participating in the play. We want to have parties for 15-20 couples max. We want food costs covered, supplies covered (plates, cups, condoms, lube, sheets, towels, wipes, etc), maintenance fees covered (floor cleaning, laundry, etc.), and coming out a little above even would be wonderful. Hubby seems to think we would make a little more than a little over even, but I think otherwise. This is what we do not want to do - be a private club. What we have to offer is 20+ acres of secluded property (some neighbors are about 1-2 acres away with foliage coverage), an indoor hot tub, pool table, massage table, stand up arcade games, a bar (no liquor), soft drinks, water, coffee, tea, mixers, condoms, lube, wipes, towels, lots of clean sheets, lockers, two showers (one in bathroom and one at hot tub), fully furnished with wood floors and carpet, large screen TV with XXX movies, a possible spanking table, interesting furniture that is good for playing, an open room, a private room downstairs with two beds, and a very private room upstairs. And food - lots of food. Here is how we think things may go. People see our website on-line and make a purchase at our store (where we pay sales tax on the sale and they get an item). It would be condoms, toys, lube, movies, etc. They would have a "donation" price built in, but it wouldn't indicate that - it would just be a higher than normal price for an item. They would pay for it ahead of time (through PayPal which double checks identity, age, etc.) and we could ship the item out or they could pick it up. Purchase of said item (if "in stock" - if they are approved) would include an invitation to our "lifestyle social". The Social would be from 6-9 p.m. There would be food, socializing etc. much like an off-premise party. Then at 9 the "social" is over. If folks want to stay for party time, they can. If they meet somebody there they want to go elsewhere with or just want contact info etc. then they can leave. After people have left at 9, the doors will be locked and the "private party" party will begin. All attending either part will have to present their drivers license which we will copy and staple to a "survey" that asks basic info, getting to know you info, and "the fine print" stating that if you are cops/media/etc. that you are there on personal business, you're not offended by sex acts, nudity, etc. and hold us harmless, etc, and other legal jargon. Our thinking on this is that nobody is paying the day of the party. Nobody is paying a "donation". They are buying a tangible product and only possibly picking it up at the free, invite-only party. Thoughts???
  16. Concerns over "Club Sin Day" before opening -Local12.com The city law director says the owners suggested this "members only" club would be basically a swingers club, something they tell Local 12 they deny ever saying. While the city has granted a permit, the business partners had to put in writing they would obey the law, or else be prosecuted.[/i] I'm guessing it will be an off-premises club. Anyone else have a guess, or know for sure?
  17. Really?! How shocking! Swingers Campground Posting Riles County, Neighbors - Indiana News Story So evidently something about a one day event at this place was posted on SOME swinger site... but by the time the news folks got there it was gone....things that make ya go HMM...
  18. These questions are primarily for those people who go to clubs. I am specifically asking about on-premise clubs. Do you do any research into whether the club is operating legally? If so, how? Does it matter to you if the club is operating legally? If not, why not?
  19. This is a question I received: One of the major concerns my wife has is "what if the swingers club gets raided while we are there?" Does this happen? What can I tell her? I'm interested to see if anyone has any thoughts on this subject. Has anyone ever been at a club when it's been raided?
  20. Hi all, I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the case of the little girl who disappeared a few weeks ago in San Diego. I was reading people magazine today (well, have to keep up with the gossip ) and this is what they were writing about the parents. " Meanwhile the van Dams (parents)..... were coming in for some uncomfortable scrutiny of their own. In the days after Danielle's disappearance there had been whispers in Sabre Springs that the couple were "swingers" who had an open marriage. The issue came to a head when a local radio talk show host,Rick Roberts, devoted a four-hour program to the van Dams, whom he accused of "not being honest" about "what really occurred" on the night of the disappearance. Citing an unnamed law enforcement source, he said the couple had participated in "lots of wife swapping", implying that their lifestyle was at least partly to blame for the tragedy." Excuse me?? Are swingers criminals, or, what he seems to be implying, pedophiles? (My interpretation, might be a bit off here). Are we, as swingers, really getting judged so badly? Well, maybe the parents had something to do with the disappearance, it happened before, but to say it happened because they are swingers??? Ok, this is more like a vent here, just thought I share. Take care all, Corinne
