Do people think swinging has come back since covid?

We are laying low, not due to covid but other reasons. But in talking to friends, we just don’t hear as much about house parties, etc.  Has covid subdued interest? Or are we jaded and/or over the hill?

This is our situation, we have limited our swinging to our 2 favorite couples. Before covid we would go to Mexico or Jamaica and have swapped there, but we have little interest traveling outside the country for fear of being quarantined. So in our case, yes we have limited our swapping. But it isn't just swinging, we don't eat at restaurants as much or go out to as many social events. We invite our couples to our place or go to their house.

Some of what I remember from pre-covid swing culture seems unthinkable from a post-covid perspective.  But swinging is on the rebound for sure. Just might take a couple more years to come back 100%.

We bounced back year two of Covid.

 

the club party opened back up and quickly gained attendees up to normal party size in under two months…..parties every other week.

 

The age average was older as many who had younger children at home avoided coming to the parties but that was understandable.

 

People would cancel last minute or no show do to being exposed or not feeling well.  But overall, two parties a month between 18 to 30 at each party.  Mostly all regulars.  And yes full on play activities.

We were only in the LS for a bit over a year before covid, so we may not have a great perspective on the "glory days" but it definitely seems there is plenty going on again.  We've been to several large events since covid and even during quarantine there were several discrete hotel parties still happening.   

 

Most of the LSers we know tired of hearing the "c word"
