The past year was horrible for Ted and I as far as our swinging life goes. In fact, it was the worst year we've had swinging, since we started swinging. I can count on one hand the number of times we played last year.

Life was just not good to us when it came to having time to play and at times it was difficult for us to even find time for just the two of us.

Living apart was the main obstacle in our fun time. Something had to be put on the back burner during the times that Ted was home and since it wasn't going to be our time or the time we spend with the kids, it had to be swinging.

With the new year now upon us, we're hoping to find more time for not only us but time to swing. We've had a couple of good starts in both those areas already.

For the first time in a couple of years we were able to go out NYE to a house party...good start there. We've also got a trip planned in two weeks for a weekend away, just him and I...another good start. Ted also will be starting a new job next week. He'll still be living in N.C. but, his time at home should increase, which is one of the reasons he took the offer, more time at home.

All in all, 2010 has started out well. We'll see a lot of changes in our lives in the coming year but, we're definitely hoping they will all be for the better. Better or worse, we'll face them together, hand in hand, like we always have.
