That's it. The LS club burned-down. And I say "Good Riddance". I'm on record, here on Swingersboard, saying the place had a bad reputation, the owner had been busted for multiple crimes, the front of the building (a pawn shop) had been raided for drugs and stolen goods -- it was a real sh*t show. It was every bad swinger stereotype rolled-into one club. It gave the whole lifestyle a bad name. Glad to see it's gone.- 8 replies

Okay so the question I have here is why do fit healthy people that only want to play with others that take their health seriously always get labeled as snobs by so many people in the lifestyle? Are they really bad people, because they want to spend time with others that also have the drive and ambition to eat right and exercise? It is not like they are the way they are, because they are born that way! Everyone can be fit and healthy if they want to be. It takes a strong willed person to do what it takes to keep themselves healthy. I don’t see that as a bad quality in a person at all, but it seems many people think it makes them snobs. We have recently made some big health changes in our lives for ourselves and each other so we can live a long healthy life together and are seeing first hand how much it can improve all aspects of life. Our bodies are changing for the better big time, our energy levels are through the roof and many of our daily chronic pains have all, but disappeared. Neither one of us has ever felt better and there is no turning back. This has made our already great sex life of the charts amazing. Saying that our tastes in others is changing as well. People that care about their health and show it in their appearance are much more appealing to us now and people that clearly don’t just are not our thing. So I guess we must be on our way to snobville and we are okay with that, because honestly our health is way more important then making everyone else happy.

So a few years ago I had all the confidence in the world. I have a fairly mellow personality, down to earth, 6 ft. tall about 230 lbs. and in shape (gym rat). That confidence went away when my ex wife cheated repeatedly and would tell me how much better they were because they were much bigger downstairs than I am (right about 5 inches erect). This crushed me psychologically, emotionally and almost spiritually. I left her and have moved on to the love of my life (grade school crush) and we're set to get married next year! Occasionally I struggle with the memories of my past because I never wanna experience that again. I've perfected my craft (of working with what I have more than just my junk) and my fiance tells me she loves me and "it" almost daily if not multiple times in the day which is nice. This has done great things for my confidence!! Here's the dilemma... The one thing I left out is that I'm a black man. I'm not small in any other way besides downstairs which is COMPLETELY opposite of the stereotype. I don't want to get into this and someone see me wanting to experience their first BBC and I let them sending me right back down that rabbit hole I came from. Am I over thinking this? Has anyone experienced this before if so what did you do and how did you get past it?

The owner of the local club (Not named here -- libel laws and all that) in Fredonia, NY, was arrested this morning, and it's all over the local papers and news media. Perhaps I should say 'arrested again'. Selling stolen goods, selling narcotics, prescription meds, and even money laundering according to one news outlet. This club owner runs a couple of businesses out of the property -- a Pawn Shop, RV rental, Jewelry store, and the swing club! -- all out of the back of a former bowling alley. He's been arrested for narcotics, there's allegations of fire insurance fraud, and receiving leniency in a plea deal in a murder investigation a number of years back. This is The Club in Western New York and Pennsylvania. How on Earth are we supposed to have any goodwill in the community -- in terms of zoning laws, business licensing, or even something as basic as sex-positivity or acceptance of alternative lifestyles -- if this crap is the public face of Swingers? The usual complaints are "It will bring crime!" or "It will degrade the neighborhood!" "Those people are immoral criminals!" Well, d*mn it -- it seems Dick and Jane Uptight are spot-on correct about it. We (Mr/Mrs SJ Bluebirds) did not attend this club; we -- and others -- have known the owner was 'unsavory' at best. But we thought as long as he kept things above-board and legal, nobody who attends the club would be affected. But now I'm p*ssed off about it, and now understand that this sets any and all advances in sexual tolerance back 50 years in this community. This is why we can't have nice things. F*ck it.

Lee's Thread "Are you a swinger?" made me think of something that might be fun... Name that Swinger! We know the typical variatels, as Lee described them, the Swinger, the Soft-swinger, the tease, the voyeur, and someone else mentioned and explained the lifestyler... So let's see how many types of swingers we can come up with and create names for (just for fun). One that we all have heard of.... The Towel Shark - a (typically) single male who goes to the clubs, stands around in his towel (if required to disrobe) and walks around wanking off while standing over anyone can he can get close enough to watch having sex.
