We have thought about going several times, but haven't ever pulled the trigger. While it was once out in the middle of nowhere, suburbia has now closed in and it is surrounded by houses now. We will be paying attention to see if anyone does have anything to say...

My wife and I went to SMI in April. It was a Thursday and they were maybe five other couples there. My wife was unsure when we pulled up. BTW we had been to caliente before and another place in North Georgia and are not swingers. We have just recently opened up our communication and gotten way more sexual. We are both 50 years old and in pretty amazing shape. So it wasn't her first time getting naked but she has always been very self-conscious. They come around with some free margaritas and also have some cheap free wine. This helped loosen my wife up and before I knew it she was giving me a blowjob by the pool with other people in eyesight. We also ended up fucking indifferent locations which is completely fine there. We saw another couple fucking right by the pool as we all set in our lounge chairs around it. Everyone was very nice, both the staff and the people we interacted with. It's fairly small and intimate but it also has various little areas kind of tucked away and the rooms surround the courtyard pool area. We didn't stay there, we just did a day pass.

 

Btw they also have some food they provide which is not anything super healthy but it's okay. It's no problem at all to bring your own food and drink and from what I remember they provide the towels. All in all it was really a great place and my very conservative wife felt comfortable doing things I'm sure she never thought she would do. We are now fans and will definitely be back. We are currently planning a trip to Vegas and are trying to decide between SMI there and whispers.

We went pre-Covid. Have several friends that rave about it but our experience wasn’t great. It is cozy and hidden. Host was super cool. We got the day pass and came Saturday afternoon with intent to stay for the swingers party after a day in the pools. 
 

both have a couple of extra lbs. 40s at the time, we fit right in with the other guests. 
 

all the chairs by the main pool were taken. So second row back with meh sunshine. Sat around the pool and swam a bit. Mineral hot springs are very nice. Then decided to explore a bit. Did the sauna and went to the pool house, party room which isn’t very spacious. Has a couple recliners and a round sofa in the middle of the room that gets moved to become a dance floor at night. A few people were fooling around outside but we wanted to get out of the wind and hopefully play on the the round sofa; nope. A couple decided to take a 3 hour nap instead. Back outside. Sun low in the sky, getting breezy go the fire pit was lit. Hugely smoky. Normally not too bothered but the wind was whipping the  smoke in our eyes where we couldn’t see. 
 

Hot tub time. A couple of couples with us. We relaxed and enjoyed. Next thing you know 6 couples who had rented rooms came to the hot tub. Really rowdy, shot gunning Pabst and 420. Looked like they might have drove up in the Breaking Bad meth RV. 
 

back to the pool house. Couple finally up from their nap but now time to move the couch and open the dance floor. Not our scene so back to the pool. Crowd had thinned as sun went down so couple of chairs free but smoke still whipping in our eyes got back in the pool. snuggled, kissed, touched for a while. Until we noticed one of the “hill folk” had migrated to the main pool. Watched her take on 3 random dudes bareback under the water. 
 

finally we had enough around 930. Left. Went to one of the Casinos in the area for dinner and a little gambling. 
 

No desire to ever go back.

Much of one’s satisfaction at nudist and swinger resorts relies on the luck of the draw of who else is there. We once went to a tantric weekend in Key West sponsored by a swingers’ group. By day two, the instructor said to us “”There’s nobody here for you.” 
 

We tried to recruit (seduce) her, but she declined. May have been an ethical concern, because she was an instructor, not a participant/guest. She did play with us in the hands on seminar. Only action we got there.

Most of our travels to Desire, Caliente, various cruises resulted in successful unions. Probably the more people on the trip, the more likely we score.
