Desire Greek Islands Cruise in Aug 23?

Anybody going on this cruise or have any experience on what this may be like?

We have been on Bliss cruises and other lifestyle cruises and we enjoyed them greatly. We have older LS friends (70+) who went on that cruise and said that the other passengers were substantially younger than them ( no surprise). So if you are in the 40-60 group, it should be your peeps. 

We took a vanilla cruise to the Greek islands. Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes are just fantastic. We also went to Ephesus and Istanbul, Turkey. A great trip whether you get laid or not!

We are on the Desire Greek Island cruise Aug 26-Sept 2, 2023 if that is the one you are referring to.

 

We've been on 12 lifestyle cruises including a Desire cruise last year out of Lisbon. Of all of the LS cruises we've done, we like the Desire cruises as the best for several reasons:

1. Smaller ship (they use the Azamara Lines) which has ~350 cabins or 700 people. Compare that to cruises like Bliss that have from 2,300 to over 5,000 on board and you can see that the Desire cruise will be more intimate and easier to meet and find couples.

2. Cruise package includes the Premium drink package or you can upgrade to the Ultimate package if you like

3. Desire brings a select group of Play Makers on board from the resorts so the program is always active.

 

Now about lifestyle cruises in general:

1. Theme nights each night and most dress for theme nights but not required. Personal experience says that if you do dress in theme, you'll invite more interaction.

2. Dinner dress is as sexy as you want without being topless and bottomless. Short and sheer work well. Wear those sexy dresses that never see the light of day at home.

3. Pools are clothing optional while at sea. While at port, it can depend on the port and if ships are docked next to ours.

4. There is a playroom that is active. No sexual activity allowed around the pool at any time. Only the playroom and your cabin.

5. We are at ports most days so the day time is port focused with tours and such. The evening back on the ship shifts into adult party time.

6. You will find all ages and body types on board but most passengers will be in the 40's and 50's age group. Some lower and some higher.

7. You don't have to be in the lifestyle to enjoy the cruise. There will be a mix of swingers, nudists and couples that just want a sexy vacation in a sexy vibe. No pressure.

 

Other notes for those that have not cruised or cruised little... arrive at least ONE day early. For Europe, we plan 2 days early to mitigate lost luggage and delayed flights. It's happened to us on trips to Europe where we arrived over 24 hrs later than planned. Check to see if there are special events going on in Athens during arrival and departure dates. Special events will book up hotels early so make hotel reservations ASAP. We are also going on the Desire Venice cruise in May and Venice is booked up for hotels long ago due to a special event taking place there. An option to consider is a special Pre Cruise event that the agency we use to book with is putting on in Athens. A 2-3 day option including hotel, transfers and some excursions and meals. We've booked several with her and like it as much as the cruise.
