Viagra - Your experiences please...

I use their professional site for much of my research and have found their information to be excellent. All articles are peer reviewed, etc., so I'm assuming this article would have passed the same criteria. Not too much on the priapism issue, tho' it is addressed, but just a good article in general.

Hi: hubby developed male menopause about 3 years ago ( yes it exists) and has actually tried all three of the current medications on the market: viagra, levitra and the new one Cialis (the weekender).

He has experienced similar results from the viagra as other respondents have listed. He now has been using cialis only as needed (doesn't need it all the time as it's dependent on his testosterone levels which he uses androgel for). but Cialis is by far the best drug. Can be taken Friday( or anyday ) on a full or empty stomach and provides him with the ability to be spontaneous any time during the weekend. He is able to acheive and maintain multiple erections and multiple orgasms as he did in his 20's,30's and 40's!

the nice thing for me (the mrs) and the women we have played with is that there are no side effects ( no runny nose, no flushing, no headache ) and it allows us to be intimate in a more natural way as the half life is longer than viagra so it doesn't wear off after 4-6 hours!

- i usually have a tremendous headache after about 6 hours if I don't take aspirin with it.
- my partner sez i am MUCH harder, though I'm too busy to notice!!
- no serious or long term problems that i know of

I have a mind blowing headache after I used it. It was about 6 hours afterward. It was so bad that the fun was not worth the headache.

1) Length of time it took to work?
Between 30 minutes and one hour, and lasts (for me) for about 15 hours

2) How hard you were compared to otherwise not using it?
About the same, maybe a little harder, longer.

3) Negative side effects?
Headaches, indigestion. The headaches aren't that bad for me, I can usually deal with them. A "Pepsid AC" taken at the same time as the blue pill handles the indigestion quite well.

4) Down time between rounds?
That depends entirely on the person I'm with...how I'm feeling personally, and how I feel about her. Basically, it all depends on how horny I am. Viagra will facilitate an erection, but it won't make it any easier to cum if your heart's not in the game. And NO pill will make you like somebody you can't stand, or be physically attracted to a person you otherwise find unattractive (although beer sometimes comes close).

5) Serious side effects if any you have had
Definitely! The first time I used it, I took the full 100mg dose. What a mistake that was! I could have cut glass with the purple-headed boner that "sprang" from my little faux pax! It happened at a party, and it provided the group with a great deal of entertainment, while suffering upon me a similar amount of pain and embarrassment. It was like having a monster attached to my loins...a monster that wouldn't go away. If you've ever had the throttle stick on a high-performance motorcycle, you already know the feeling.

If I use it at all now, I start with half of a 50mg tablet. If I feel the "need" for any more than that, it's probably time to re-think what I'm doing or with whom.

I thought it was only safe to take 1 tablet/day? The issue obviously is developing priapism (?), ie an erection that doesn't go away (and may cause permanent impotence), and as I understand the risk increases significantly if you take Viagra 2x /day... Mebbe there is a doctor out there who can clear this up for us?

Lets follow-up on this. If you were perscribed 100mg and you only took 50mg is it it o.k. to take another 50mg. I'm sure you shouldn't take 100mg then another 100mg

Oh, my results. I take 50mg it gives me a headache, and cold like symptoms. So I take a few asprins and a cold pill. When it starts to work is variable, first time 15 minutes, the next time about an hour. The same goes for how long it lasts. And finally like said abouve alcohol will impact the results.

Gets me hard for sure. Good stuff.

God I feel bad, did I kill this thread. Still interested if I could take two 50mgs in one day, or 4 25mgs, as long as I don't exceed 100mgs?

Normal directions say no more than 100mg in a 24 hour period.

I use it. It works well. I get headaches from time to time using it but nothing serious. One thing I will say that I haven't seen mentioned here, for me repeated dosages over the course of a few days seem to lose their effectiveness. Left the kid with the relatives for a few days and went with wifey to Vegas for an extended adult playdate. First dose after a couple months of non use is the greatest thing since sliced bread. But subsequent doses became less and less noticeable. I've been trying to exercise the old PC muscles and that seems to really help me. So I try to use the blue stuff for periodic special occasions only.
