njbm 2,735 Posted December 30, 2017 So we go to a lifestyle meet and greet in a bar in Delray Beach, Florida. We are on vacation from NJ and we do not know anyone. We made contact on SDC with some registrants, but we do not recognize anyone. We cycle around the bar for over an hour. No one says a word to us or even makes eye contact. It was as if we were invisible observers from another planet. I know people will say why didn't we initiate. We were going to talk to a couple, but as we approached, they became enamoured with the messages on their iPhone. No human contact from anyone. So we leave the party and walk on lively Atlantic Avenue. Almost immediately, a guy yells out of his car to my wife: "I like the one in the black dress!" Quote Share this post Link to post
SW_PA_Couple 4,019 Posted December 30, 2017 I am not familiar with meet-n-greet events as they might happen in Delray Beach, but the events we have seen in Pittsburgh and Dayton are organized to the extent of one or more people actively circulating and encouraging participants to introduced themselves to each other. One aspect that seems similar -- many people will enroll themselves in an event then never show up. Regret to read that you had a disappointing experience with this one. njbm 2,735 Posted December 30, 2017 The hostess said that she would introduce us to people since we were from out of town, but I guess she got busy registering new attendees, so she never did. We also posted a hot date for a few dates. Lots of views, some emails, nothing happening so far. We are HWP and look 50. Fortunately, we have each other and a six some scheduled next week. samandtammi 99 Posted December 31, 2017 We don't like meet and greets as they don't usually attract real swingers. We are very familiar with Delray and would recommend you go to Trapeze instead. There's always a lively crowd with plenty of swingers to choose from. We also think most people there are very friendly. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
