It never fails. Each time my wife and I host a party at our house, we find stuff that party guests forget and leave behind. Serving plates, liquor bottles, wine bottles (not counting the empties), panties, brassieres (can sometimes be associated with a particular guest by reading the size tag), costume jewelry, fine jewelry, watches, hats, socks, shoes, battery-powered toys, USB phone charging thingies, and sunglasses.

Have you ever gone ten miles down the road, realized you'd left something behind? Did you go back? If you host parties, do you check under the chaise lounge using a flashlight before you run the Hoover? Has the dog ever come down the steps with a used condom in its jaw.

On the losing side of things, she left a pair of earrings once at someone's house, we just got them back the next time we got together. On the finding side, we found a swimsuit cover-up (it was still laying right where it got dropped along with the swimsuit the evening before :) ) and sunglasses on the deck the next morning. Those we mailed back since it wasn't someone we see on a regular basis.

Originally, I was going to say that we haven't lost or left anything behind but it's only because one was "traumatic" (I probably tried to blot it out from my memories) and the other was something insignificant. At our first house party, someone stole my new cellphone. I left our numbers in case anyone at the party wanted to come forth and return it. Nothing until a month later when the same hosts had another party and someone "found" my phone. :rollseye: I never, ever brought in my purse again to big house parties after that.

The other time was when we had left our play travel bag behind at a small house party. Nothing but condoms, lube, lotion, and breath mints inside so it wasn't important but we arranged a two-on-two date with the hosts and our bag was returned.

I left my watch once in the host's bathroom. I made Mr. A drove back when we were halfway home. I left a bottle of wine here and there but I always tell the host to keep them if I forgot to grab them.

On the found side, I found a earring dropped inside the deep crevice of the couch. Our friend called and asked about it but we couldn't find it. It only appeared years later when we got a new couch and the delivery folks took the old one away.

I left a pair of earrings at a hotel once. They weren't valuable, but sentimental. I went back in a few days and got them after calling the hotel right away.

House parties found items, usually just panties. Once a single shoe!

I wear panties to a party because they make me feel sexy - I go commando in everyday life. LOL

Just today, we found a package of Nicorette thingies between the cushions in the sofa. Definitely not ours. This stuff never ends.

You need to start hoping for some cash! At the rate you are finding things, that pocket money that has gone missing will start to add up. Just keep throwing it all in a jar and before you know it you will have the bankroll for a super-duper blowout house party...and everyone had a part in putting it on through their "donations" :)

I went home wearing someone else's swimsuit after ditching mine in the hot tub. I grabbed what I thought was my suit and put it on as we were leaving the party. Didn't even realize it until the next morning when I saw an odd suit hanging over the shower curtain rod.

What is this...'swimsuit' thing that you talk about? What purpose does it even serve?

Two weeks ago the couple that we usually 'see' brought their grandchild over to see the animals that we have and to go swimming. We all had to look for swimsuits since none of us ever use them and they felt awkward.

We all had them on when we got in, but they came off quickly. I just grabbed a pair of shorts off the patio deck as we were leaving, so I wouldn't walk into our house butt-naked.
