Black eye - would you play with him?

We have a rare Saturday night out and had planned to attend a club. In a nutshell, this week he hit his brow and it caused a black eye....around one eye is completely black. Would play you with a couple (all other things equal) with a couple where the fella has a black eye?....or that too weird?

Its probably a good ice breaker. Especially if she plays a dominant role. If I were him and were asked what happened my response would likely be "We forgot what the safe word was."

As TheNomads point out, it's all in the attitude. A few people will be turned off, I suspect a couple will be turned on.

Be glad it is the male with the black eye. If it were the female he'd be getting the stink eye from folks.

It will be fine. Like other have suggested, there may be a silver lining in that it will be a good conversation starter...and maybe even a few more nurturing types wanting to kiss it to make it all better

I'm sure there'd be a lot of folks that it wouldn't much matter to. And, hey, if it were me with the black eye, just before we split with each other's wives, I'd tell the other husband to be sure not to piss off my wife. And, also, you better make sure she's been pleased. Ha!

I was in a vanilla social situation once that involved athletic activity where one of the young women got hit in the face was bruised pretty bad and developed a black eye. She was distraught because she is an intenational flight attendant and was afraid her employer wouldn't let her work for either medical or appearance reasons. All were sympathetic, but one guy (who I knew somewhat and is a gentle soul) really took an interest in her, told her she was beautiful nevertheless, that she was tough and that made her attractive etc. You just never know.
