Single male frustrated with finding playmates in new area

Recommended Posts

I find myself getting very frustrated finding a couples to play with in my area. I recently moved for work and I'm having a helluva of a time finding parties and couple to attend. I moved from the Cali to PNW. Any advice?

Can you share a little about what avenues you've explored so far-that might help us with brainstorming some advice :)

Hi, guest_xx1. Moving to a new location can be tough, whether it's for vanilla reasons or swinging reasons. When you started swinging in California, how did you enter the swinging scene there? You might have to take the same steps in your new location and be patient while others get to know you. Attend Meet & Greets, visit a local swingers club (if there are any nearby), and just introduce yourself. Once interested couples see that you are respectful of the husband and the couple dynamic, it's only a matter of time before someone invites you to play and hopefully word-of-mouth will get the ball rolling.

I mostly used SLS but I feel as if using SLS in the PNW isn't giving me as much results. I have gone to meet and greets but I feel more comfortable at parties and group settings. I'm thinking of attending my first swingers club/bar with the hope I can meet people in the lifestyle.

I've tried SLS and CL but after an experience tonight, I don't feel like using CL again. It feel like I was dealing with amateurs.

It's been over 15 years since I lived there, but when I visited Seattle a few weeks ago (yay tax return) I noticed ALL the clubs that were lifestyle friendly had either been closed or turned into all-you-can-eat buffets. The more the internet has grown in popularity, the harder it will get for singles who want to explore the lifestyle to do so because there will be more and more singles (men and women) who will appear out of nowhere with a distorted view of what swinging single means. That makes it tough for established singles (long term and newly separated/widowed) to "prove" themselves in a new area.

That being said, while I'm not even trying to swing anymore, I can offer one piece of advice: If you really want to meet swing partners in PNW (or anywhere for that matter), talk to strippers. They HAVE seen and heard it all, so if you can convince them you know what you are talking about, they will play match maker between you and some of their couple customers looking for the same thing. Don't expect them to join in, but I never had problems finding partners in PNW because I wasn't afraid to talk to strippers the same way I would any other nightclub worker: As a person doing a job in customer service, not a sex worker and potential partner. Of course, that paid off in other ways, but...
