What's the best introductory message you've received?

Let's reverse this a little. What are some of the best that you have received?

It's easy to remember the shocking horrible ones. Difficult to remember the good ones. One that sticks out to me was an ad from a single guy that we answered. In his first reply he said, "I'm married, she is aware I'm doing this and is ok with it. She may want to talk to you". She was a nice gal. Her and J kept an e-mail conversation going after the mmf relationship fizzled. Most 'single guys can never seem to host and can't get together on the weekdays. odd

Along these lines..Has anyone ever seen a picture on a profile that was so interesting, you had to read the ad?

I was just reading a profile yesterday, where the couple was interested in playing with solo guys, but they didn't want married guys to bother contacting them. They said something like, "Don't tell us you have a 'hall pass'- does anybody really believe that?" Well, as it happens, the Mrs. and I are in just such a situation, very much like the profile you mentioned, JandKinBoise (though we play both together and solo). So, yes, I think people DO believe that- because it's sometimes true!

To answer your last question- sure, we see plenty of profiles where the main profile picture is the thing that grabs us and motivates us to read the full profile. It might be a sexy picture sometimes, but often it is one that really tells you something about the couple.

In terms of good introductory messages, I think the ones that appeal to us are those that are straightforward, simple, and honest- the kind that say "we checked out your profile, thought you sounded interesting, and wanted to say 'hello'".

At the end of our profile, we note that if you're married and have a partner, and they DON'T know what you're doing, we're flattered but we'll pass. We'll play with folks who have a genuine pass without problem.
