Twitter for swingers?

Do you use twitter as a swinger?

I have a few friends who use twitter under a pseudonym and without face pictures to keep in touch with and make new swinger friends. They seem to love it and have convinced me to try it.

I set up an account, so we'll see how it goes.

I am wondering if anyone here tweets and if you have any advice?

I try to think of myself as technology forward, etc.

I have tried twitter a few times in a few different 'varieties' both personally and professionally. Honest to god, I cannot for the life of me keep up. Too many comments, too much BS to find one gem. Not fun.

My only exception to this is a live 'event' on t.v. and watch the hashtags related to that. They can be absolutely side splitting hilarious. Outside of that I just couldn't make it work.

I'm the same way as kikonkrome as far as Twitter goes. The one time I really go to Twitter is for breaking news. You really can't beat it for on the scene information and video feeds from regular people.

Do let us know how it goes funcoupledayton. I'd be interested in knowing how it works as a swinger app.

We've had a swinging-themed Twitter account since 2008. Sharing posts with like-minded people can be a lot of fun, but most of the swingers we encounter either live in another state or another country, so we virtually never hook up with anyone from that site.

Sorry I can't give you any advice. Although, the idea of using Twitter for swinging sounds interesting. I can't wait to hear how your experience goes in using it in this way!

Great forum topic. We have never used Twitter for our play hobby but now that you mentioned it we see lots of possibilities. We would be in to getting a group going as it could be a ton of fun.

We have done stuff on Tumblr and have picked up a few local followers who are into the LS scene.

I've had a vanilla twitter account since shortly after twitter's launch. I've always used it as a way of staying connected with a specific group of people. So I don't follow many, and only post relevant stuff for my group. Tapping into twitter celebrities is not how I use it.

We setup an LS specific twitter account a couple of years ago, and use it much the same way, and it's worked out well for us.
