Webcamming for fun and profit? Should my wife webcam?

At first we were surprised at the number of women in couples that do web camming to make money on the side and/or for the thrill of being watched by tons of guys.

... then we realized the demographic of sex freaks we are meeting on a weekly basis and it seemed less surprising.

As I posted in my thread about "posting too many pics" my wife LOVES taking girl/girl pics, and they turn out GREAT.

A few girls after seeing how bi & hot she is have told her that they do webcamming on sites like myfreecams and they make decent money and would love for her to join them in a girl/girl cam show.

My wife would love to join in and give it a try... if anything just for fun (not really for the money)... but there's the big issue with privacy. The privacy thing is a HUGE issue for us (as it probably is for most girls) & camming is even less "private" than lifestyle sites since anybody with the cash can get access... even friends and family... who are way less likely to be on a lifestyle site than on a cam site. Still, the thought of the wife getting a lot of attention, turning on a bunch of guys, and getting tips, is kinda exciting.

Do any of you / your girls do web-camming? Are there things she can do to help with privacy? I mean, not only could anybody see it (friends / family) but they can do screenshots, video screenshots, etc. Or is it just the nature of the beast that you gotta accept that your pics and videos can very easily end up online and open for everyone to see?

Mrs fun does it on Chaturbate. She does it mostly for fun and her enjoyment. There is a setting where you can block certain states from viewing. She blocks our local state as well as her home state and mine. Thus far there hasn't been an issue.

It's really tempting to give it a try, but we've also heard stories about people grabbing screenshots and also grabbing the videos and posting them on freetube porn sites. That kinda freaked us out a bit.

I swore I responded to this thread earlier but it must have gotten gobbled up! Anyway, I had commented that it has been suggested on the forum that the person(s) doing the calming can wear a mask to hide their identity.

OK, I know you're asking for opinions from women who have done this but it does make me recall something that might be helpful. Twenty-five or thirty years ago my wife and I went to a swingers off-premise meetup at a local nightclub. One of the wives I talked to had mentioned that her biggest fantasy was to be a prostitute. And, trust me, she'd have made a lot of money! Well, a few months later, I saw her picture in the paper along with other women and some men when the OKC police had a sting operation. She sure didn't fit in that group of photos. I, honestly, believe this was a one-time adventure that just went wrong for her and her husband. I don't know what their occupations were but I'd guess they were both professionals and it had to be detrimental to their lives... big time!

You know, now I know it wouldn't have been as real, but she should have just set up the scenario with swinger husbands. Hey, with my wife's permission of course, I'd have gladly given her money. Any activity is just safer with other people in, and who understand, the lifestyle. Even MFM threesomes are much safer with men in the lifestyle than with vanilla men picked up in a bar.

We watched a feed last night with two girls that were wearing thin white shirts and they were spraying each-other for wet t-shirts and making out, etc. It was SUPER hot and exhilarating thinking about the thousands of guys watching them, tipping, getting turned on, etc. It was turning me on thinking about my wife doing this with her girl friend that cams and thousands of guys watching her...

Facial recognition is already REALLY good and it's just a matter of time until it's so good that a company applies it to crawling the web (facebook, social sites, porn sites, adult sites, etc.) and matching up all the people with their various profiles.

So, I guess I just gotta stop thinking with my second brain and confine our pics, vids, camming to the lifestyle sites. (easier said than done because it would be SO HOT / FUN!!)

It is like the old saying...once you do porn, you can't go back. Now you can do things to hide your face etc., but those won't get nearly the views or money. Also if you accept money at least someone knows your real name.

Do it for fun on your own terms if you are going to do it.

Just an addendum here. You WILL be recorded, and it WILL be available on the net. I did a bit of searching and the major cam sites have bots that record everyone on them, and then upload the video to sites. You need to pay for the download access to them. It is not the cam sites that do it, as far as I can tell, but 3rd party.

You can still do it for fun, just protect your identity and don't do it for money. It is a big step from camming to a strip club... while my wife would cam anonymously, she would have to be in a small town in rural Romania to feel comfortable stripping at a club.

Our club occasionally has a strip tease competition. Your local club might be willing to do the same.

We've actually already done the strip-club thing a few times... well, we go together and she always gets pulled up on stage. We actually feel WAY more comfortable with that since:

1) No cameras, screenshots, etc.

2) The probability of someone we know being in there is slim.

3) Even if someone we know is in there, it's probably more scary for them to be "outed" (like a guy there without his wife knowing) than it is for us to be there.

Web camming seems WAY more risky to us than a strip club does.

With regards to protecting your identity...

Whatever sort of paint they use to airbrush kids at the theme parks is amazingly durable and resistant to sweat and minor moisture, and yet cleans up very easily with makeup remover. It would have the advantage over a physical mask, in that it'd never get in the way or get knocked off. It could be as simple as a sprayed on "Zorro" mask, or as elaborate as you can imagine. If, in planning whatever airbrush you decide on, your pattern obscures the nostril openings (black over the entire tip of the nose?) it will also make facial recognition software less effective.

What Chicup said about the pay is dead on though. No matter how you filter it (PayPal etc), when you get paid for something on the internet, there is a trail that leads back to you. It is much easier to PAY anonymously than to GET PAID anonymously.

Regarding payments: It's amazing and impressive to which extents she's gone through to protect herself. She listed a ton of items for us to do / setup (PO boxes, new accounts, phone numbers, etc. etc. etc.) to make it slightly more "safe".

We decided IF we were ever going to cam, it would be my wife doing it on her friends cam vs. setting up her own stuff... but that was before we decided we just weren't going to to it since the risk is still too high.
