Probably a long shot, but does anyone know of any clubs that do not allow smoking indoors. We're both very sensitive to cigarette smoke and it takes the fun out of going to club when your eyes are burning out of their sockets. We appreciate any recommendations. We are located near the Harrisburg area, so we would be looking the central/east portion of PA or Northern Maryland.

If you're ever in Ontario, you should visit any of our clubs; smoking in restaurants and bars has been against the law here for many years.

It's illegal in those places in most states as well (Kentucky was a holdout at one time), but most clubs are private organizations and don't always have to follow those rules. State by state basis, so YMMV.

I know our local club went smoke-free in the past year with a smoking area just outside. Oddly enough, the smoking area is probably the best place to meet and get to know people.

We are frequent patrons of two clubs in the area where smoking is restricted to closed-off area with separate ventilation.

Our favorite, and a club that is not far at all for you, is the Korral (Spring Grove, PA). They have a separate smoking lounge, and I as a non-smoker have never smelled smoke in the est of the club.

Another club that has recently instituted a non-smoking policy throughout the club (again, except for a separately-vented smoking lounge) is The Private Affair (TPA), in Port Deposit, MD. TPA used to be just as bad as you mentioned- eye-burning smoke, and clothes that smelled of smoke after an evening at the club. Since they changed their policy and did the remodeling to add the smoking lounge, I have not smelled smoke in the club.

There are a couple other clubs near you, but I'm not certain of their smoking policy. We've been to The Cottage near Gettysburg, but it was a slow night, and I can't recall in detail the smoke level or their policy or facility layout regarding smoking. Also, TJ's is in the area, but we haven't been. Finally, Tabu is in Catonsville, MD (very close to us), but I have no recollection of their smoking policy.

Hope this helps!

This helps a lot, thank you very much for the information. I think we'll give TPA a try.

Saints and Sinners in Philly doesn't allow smoking inside- it's one of the reasons we love it!

We second the info on Saints and Sinners and TPA. When we lived in Pa, we were at TPA almost every weekend. We'd drive home and strip in the garage before going inside to shower the stale smoke from our hair before going to bed. We were just at TPA in July and were incredibly pleased to find that there is no longer smoking in the bar/club area at all. What a pleasant change!!

Hello! I realize I'm like a year late so you probably know about TJ's Lasting Impressions already but just in case you don't it's a nice little club right near you in Newport, Pa. From their website (the name is the website name);

"TJ's has a new smoking policy. In order to meet the needs of our evolving customer base, and to keep in touch with changes in our society, beginning May 1, 2015 we ask members to refrain from smoking in the following areas:

Lobby

Dining Room

Party & VIP Rooms

Hallways

Hot Tub

Smoking will still be permitted in the main areas of the club:

Bar

Lounge Area

Dance Floor Area"

We arranged a play date using a popular on-line hook-up site and the first-night sex was breat. BUT, there was an unsettling aspect to the meeting. Nothing about their on-line profile suggested any smoking of cigarettes. Comparing notes during our drive home from the encounter we realized that both were rodelent of burnt tobacco. Why would people commit such a sin of omission?

      Hi gang,

It's been quite a while since I've posted. After taking a break from swinging, my wife and I have been toying around with checking out a local on-premises club in the DC/MD area. One of the main reasons we stopped playing is we just grew tired of relying on SLS and AFF to find potential playmates. We found the process to be tedious and hit-or-miss and now that we have a young child we just simply don't have the time for that any more.

So I brought up the idea of trying out a club and my wife sounded intrigued. We were both very against it before (we're just not club type people in general) but now I think we're open to giving it a shot. I did a little research and I ran across Tabu and The Crucible, both are pretty close to us. Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble finding many reviews for these places. Have any of you guys been to either or both of these clubs? If so, how do they compare? We're both in our early 40's so what's the usual crowd look like age-wise? Are they good places for newbies like us? Are there any other clubs in the area that might be better? We honestly don't know what we're looking for here so any guidance would be great!

      Thanks!

In the topic of Does Weight Matter the subject of drinking and smoking and it's relationship to attractiveness was brought up. How do you feel about drinking and smoking? Turn-off or turn-on? Do you do it? If not will you play with others who do?

Hi all! Married couple from PA here, somewhat new to this sort of thing! I'm 38, and my wife here is 35. Something we have both wanted to try for a long time is a gloryhole. She really likes the anonymity of it. Does anyone have any idea where in Pennsylvania we might actually find one? Would love some advice!
