Racism - Our first negative in swinging

Recommended Posts

We had our first negative encounter in swinging last night. My husband had been conversing with a person from the Swingers Date Club website. They had sent several emails to each other prior to this happening. Last eve 'it' IM'd him through Yahoo. He responded and they began conversing. Getting to know who you're talking to, their likes, etc. Then 'it' ended the IM session with the following:

lotharios69: What are you looking for?

commondrab: anyway, I really just wanted the chance to tell you,

commondrab: that it will be a cold day in hell when I'm gonna fuck some goddamn NIGGER and his fat gross wife

commondrab: you fucking coon!

Yahoo! Messenger: commondrab has logged out. (3/10/04 7:41 PM)

I am amazed at the stupidity and bigotry that still exists in our world. I'm glad there is this forum for venting this, otherwise I might just have to go kick 'it's' a** and show 'it' how the cow ate that da**** cabbage! BTW - my husband is black and I'm white.

While unsettling as this is, we have met some of the nicest and most open people since we started the lifestyle. Quite a few right here on this forum.....

I never have understood "it"s acting that way, makes no sense to me. I'd be thankful it reveiled its personality before it went

further than just chat.

There is no quarter of the planet that is bereft of ignorance. Fortunately the lifestyle doesn't have as many idiots as a lot of other activities, but it is not exempt.

There is no excuse for that kind of behavior. It's pretty sad in this day and age that people still have to resort to childish behavior like that. We have quite a few friends who are native american and black and people of other races, and they are some of our best friends. Not all of them we swing with, but it's really sad that people have to resort to insulting people on the basis of the color of their skin, or because they are not thin like they want. We have had our share of rude negative people who instead of being polite about it had to be rude and say that we are a couple of fat ugly cows.

If they would have just said, we are looking for people who are hight and weight proportunate and been nice about it, we wouldn't have had a problem with it, but when they make comments like that, or I Truck have heard some people on IM call Tazzie a big fat whale. While Tazzie was sitting next to me. Happened the other day infact. Now as some of you may know from an earlier post on a different message thread. Tazzie is pregnant, and right now her mood swings happen pretty easily. And it's really hard when someone says things like that about her, because I have to try and calm her down, and this time around, her mood swings are stronger and more intense than they were her 2 previous pregnancies.

It makes me think of when I was growing up and hearing the phrase: Sticks & Stone may break my bones but names will never hurt me. What a lie that is. Because Tazzie and I have found that words can hurt a hell of a lot more than sticks and stones.

I wish you both good luckin the future. And personally we would have no problem getting together with a couple who is of different races. As far as race goes with us, we are color blind. Black, white, red, green, yellow, it don't matter.

I remember hearing a few years ago, someone said once, there is no black and white in skin color, we are all brown, some are just darker and some lighter than others. And I have always felt that way about it.

I hope that this helps give you some encouragment. Keep your heads up, because you will meet people out there who are like us who don't look at you from the outside, but only on the inside.

Oh, go ahead, VENT baby, VENT!!

And another poster is right, better you found that out now than, heaven forbid, in person.

But its still gotta hurt; maybe even more to hear the hurtful comments about your partner.

In the 33 years I have worked closely with people, I've met some like that. All I gotta say is, I wouldn't WANT to live in THEIR skin. :nono: Yecch!!

What must they be like on the inside, to do such a thing on a total stranger.

We're glad you're here, though.

Cheers!

Dian

OMG well thank goodness it showed it's true colors in an 'im' and not in person...

some people are just so full of hatred for themselves, they lash out at others for no good reason, I'm sorry you were the target this time :(

There are very few couples in the lifestyle that I'm aware of that would play with such a prick... So - I suppose it can continue to piddle it's little diddle all by it's lonesome...

It was unfair for either of you to have to deal with such vile-ness. And I am also grateful that you two had a place where you can vent and hopefully rediscover that the world isn't completely full of ignorance - plumb-full maybe, but not completely full.

Personally, I think we should have an "all board" meet up and make you guys feel better the best way we know how... :fun:

Well guys.....welcome to the Internet. Sorry you had to see that. It probably wasn't even anyone in the lifestyle, just some troll trying to lure people in and then piss them off. I agree with Dian and aren't you glad you have us to vent to? :)

Don't let it bug ya!!

All I can say is "it" would have one hell of a hard time in our group. Our regular group (which meets this weekend) is black, white, one person from India, an albino black woman, large, small, young, old, straight, bi and everything in between. we would not have it any other way.

I once heard it said the best way:

- Think if all the people you know

- Think of all the people you would call friends

- Think of all the people you could really count on when you need it.

- Not many are there? And you would actually eliminate a whole class of people based only on the color of their skin? I've never heard of anything so foolish.

Don't remember who said it, Just remember it being the best arguement I'd ever heard. Don't let stupid people get you down. You (and I ) know you are much better for ALL the people you have as friends.

But we have been truly touched by all the responses! We haven't let it deter our pleasures but am glad to know there are still good humans out there with compassion for others - regardless of anything - and a meet up with all of you would be wondeful!!!! Someday we may just get that chance - you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
