Senior Swingers 55+?

Recommended Posts

Guest SeniorSwing

Is anyone on here over 55 and in the lifestyle? Looking to get to know some folks, attend some senior parties, etc. Or, does anyone know of a site or a specific event for seniors?

Your help would be so appreciated :)

Mid sixties here.

Possibilities everywhere I look.

I think many of us are enjoying the freedoms that the empty nest brings.

We are the big 6-0, but we think we look younger. We prefer lifestyle cruises to meet people. We meet people on SLS or SDC erratically. Have not been to a house party or event in a long time. We are open to new ideas to meet swingers.

50ish, still going strong, actually focused on include others 55 plus just kind of getting an idea of what’s to come. It all looks good ahead from our view. We vacation in FL a lot, those 60+ couples are more than willing to join in with us.

We started in our late 40's more than 15 years ago so do the math. What we've found is that the dynamics have changed a bit but in some ways, we're having more fun now than when we started. For example, sex seems to be a bit slower but is also longer lasting somehow more intimate. This goes for us and with our FWBs. Parts don't respond or recover as quickly as 20 years ago but that leads to more oral, and some other loving forms of foreplay and who doesn't like that? Clubs are less a smorgasbord of possibilities than they were when we started. We're on the upper end of the age curve for Trapeze or other places we frequented nearly every weekend in our 40's plus, the noise level and the "music" are generally appalling. House parties are way more fun than they used to be. Of course, most couples at the parties are our age + or - five years. We start earlier, don't drink as much, share several partners and always go home with a smile. Understand, 55-65 doesn't look like 25-35 but swinger couples in our age bracket remain surprisingly attractive and playful. We have one rule, knowing that we'll be playing with grandparents, we're ok with that so long as they don't look like OUR grandparents. Another thing we've found that is quite interesting is the surprising number of couples in their mid-50's who want to try swinging for the 1st time. Most know exactly what they want to experience and are generally not burdened with the angst and petty jealousies of much younger new couples. What an amazing experience it is to (in my case) be the first new man in 40 years to slowly strip and fondle and make love to a woman or in Mrs Docs experience to be the first new woman in 40 years to blow a man and to have him sink deeply into her. For both couples, those experiences are priceless.

Conclusion: Swinging like life in general, evolves as we age. Some things must change but if you accept and accommodate the changes sex and swinging is a blast well into advanced middle age. Mike Schmidt said when he retired from baseball that "the game tells you when it's time to go". I think its the same with swinging. We'll know when it's time to stop. Or perhaps we won't but we will notice when other couples want us to keep our clothing on.

We started when we were in our 40 and low in behold we have been having so much fun we did not even notice as the 50s passed us by.

I’ve noted in a least one other thread on this board that a few years ago, when I was in my mid-60s, I played with a couple in their mid-80s, who had been playing since about when I was born. (They hosted an orgy in the evening following their wedding, back in the late 1940s. So, yep, there are plenty of swingers in their mid-50s — and a good deal older as well.

Nobody has yet responded to this part of the OP’s question. So I’m boosting it to the top again.

AARP?

Seriously, why bother?

I am 67 and we are doing just fine with SLS and related events. Most of them younguns just gather together and us seniors just sit back and ignore them while we have too much fun.

We're in our upper sixties, having as much fun as the two of us want.

And yeah, I'd love it if there was a 'senior swingers' forum.

Most swingers seem to be either in their 20's or 40's+. Either before children or after they have gone. That puts a large number of people in your target range (including us). As for things aimed towards that group, we would say just about every house party and or club qualifies since there usually seems to be plenty of people there in that age group.

Age is just a number. We are still playing, he is 76 and she 67. We have had no problem meeting couples on sites, and have made some good friends. He will have clocked up 50 years in the LS at the end of next year. We may be a bit slower these days, but it is still fun.

One year when we were at Desires, it was seniors’ week. I think they have a youth week, too, I assume that is 21+ or 18+ or such.

I'm 70 in Seattle, but pass for 68. I am the extra male in an MFM arrangement and it seems that folks just don't outgrow the lifestyle.

Upon his abrupt retirement from baseball, Mike Schmidt said something to the effect that "the game will tell you when it's time to go". I think swinging does too. Our hobby does not represent a large portion of the general population and, among those who do swing the biggest chunk of the pie are in the 35-55 bracket. Once you get on the outer end of the age curve, opportunities to meet new playmates decline dramatically especially if you're somewhat selective. Our standard is that we recognize that we'll be having sex with grandparents but only as long as they don't look like OUR grandparents. That doesn't mean you can't continue to have fun well into your medicare years, it just means they'll fewer choices with whom to do so. Eventually though, the hobby will tell you when its time to quit.

Agreed, PaDoc. At the far end of the arc of life, people in general have less sex than when they were young and middle-aged. I think that goes for swingers as well as vanilla folks. But of course there are still a good number of people on the far side of 65 who are not only having a good day of sex in their marriage but also swingers who — while they may not have as many choices — remain quite active in the lifestyle. I have friends who hold sex parties twice a month. Many of the regulars are in their 60s and 70s. And as I’ve noted at least twice on other threads on this board, I once played at one of these parties with a couple who were still playing in their mid-80s (having begun in the lifestyle in the late 1940s, including an orgy on their wedding night.)

We started just when I was reaching menopause and have been in it for 15 years. My man is two years older. Great thing about our swinging is, I do all the swinging, he participates when invited as the extra male in the MFM or in MMFM. We are not club members as there are no clubs in our vicinity. We go to Hedonism twice a year for our swinging activities.:sex:

We are on the flip side. We are in our 50’s-60’s and swing way less than we used to. All the clubs are filled with 30’s-40’s and they are not interested in us. We get a few house party invites and they sometimes result in play. We live in Fort Worth and feel demographics has a lot to do with it.

Both of us are 64. We live in New Mexico and enjoying life. Parties, clubs, best of all clothing optional hot springs. We have met more senior couples a hot springs than other places.

Like death itself, sexuality has its own lifetable--in or out of the lifestyle. Perhaps its a bias of ascertainment, but folks in the lifestyle seem to stay sexually active longer. Thus there are important considerations for seniors in the LS.

There are physiologic changes. Working to stay healthy, attractive, engaged takes effort. Medical conditions and medical interventions can favorably or unfavorably affect participation--there will be "ups and downs".

Counterbalancing those medical/physiological issues are seemingly much more relaxed attitudes about sex and intimacy. Bear in mind that the two most toxic emotions -- envy and jealousy--are based on fears of inadequacy and of abandonment respectively. Long-married seniors tend to be past that and can relax and revel in the hedonistic pleasures without judgement or concern for alienation of affection. It does make a difference.

We do need to find different approaches that respect senior body clocks. Most seniors (count us among them) do not sleep as well as in our younger years. We also rise earlier and sleep earlier. The "club that starts at 10 pm" is not realistic--or at least less fun-- in the 7th decade of life, so smaller and local parties work better. Pool parties, hot tub parties, naked cocktail parties, cook-outs and so on are among the different approaches that seem to work better with our age group.

A reminder: pregnancy might not be an issue, but STI's are rampant among seniors.

Perhaps paradoxically, connections do matter to seniors. It remains important to bring folks together in a non-pressured situation, let them explore connections before moving to a more sexually charged atmosphere. It might be a matter of a social hour followed by an icebreaker, a bar-b-q before the skinny dip, a clothed social hour before everyone goes for naked cocktails.

Just our $0.02

Am 64. Use a club site and SZC to meet people, groups, couples, and single women. While some couples & women have been under 35 most have been near my age. Last autumn I had knee surgery & was in a brace for three months. Unexpectedly no one found it very weird. I took a lady to a club and another time met a couple there. In both cases they were all ok with the brace, crutches and tender knee.

My first experience with a significantly older person was at age 35. I met and had a few sex sessions with a 59 y/o woman. That was a education, even before we first got naked. Since then age has not been a consideration, just personality and health or fitness.

We are early 60's and started over 15 years back. Only place we know is Hedonism, Desire and the like where things can happen a quickly, if a woman wants it. Never been to a house party or a club. Won't do it in our town, and won't drive a long way to get to one. We once almost made it in Seattle once, but stayed away as it was a short visit and if you can't do follow up visits, it is very likely there will be disappointment in se=expecting too much in your first visit.
