Separate room sex - have you?

Recommended Posts

My wife, actually, preferred it. I think she wasn't able to really let go and enjoy herself if she knew I was looking and she never liked seeing me with another woman.

We have done both. There are advantages to each. Did same room swaps several time before trying different rooms. I like the security of having him nearby and I enjoy putting on a show for him when it's same room. But, I get more into my new partner when I’m in a separate room, become more of a nasty girl and more verbally expressive.

We started in separate rooms and I still enjoy it more. Having sex in front of my husband was a completely different experience. I was way more nervous and my partner acted way differently. I didn't care to watch my husband that day. Since then I understand same room is more the norm

In the beginning, my husband would at least start out in the room. As we have evolved in the lifestyle, however, I find now that I enjoy the intimacy of being alone with my partner. We then need to worry only about each other's reactions and responses during sex, rather than those of my husband as a spectator.

One of my favorite things was a couple that had a blowup mattress in their bedroom, significantly below the level of the bed. We could play, hear the sounds of the SOs, but since we couldn't see them without some effort we weren't distracted. It worked very well for the four of us.

This is a cool idea at home. Separate beds in a hotel room works out, too: you can often get two queen-size beds for the same price as a king. Being physically separated but still able to see is exciting.

I (Mr) prefer separate rooms. It's way less distracting for all the way around. If that is off the table I prefer separate beds for the same reason. I'm coming to the realization that unless I'm with someone I've already been with the same bed situation is just too distracting for me unless I've been making out with the other woman for a while prior.

Not mentioned here is starting out one way, same room or even same bed, then switching to separate rooms. It's nice to have some four way (or greater) play then break off to concentrate on one person.

Also not mentioned is something that we found out early on - playing alone cuts down on the scheduling hassles. If two want and can get together, why not?

We only do it in the same room. Some friends split up but I enjoy the show usually.

Hi,

Which of you has had sex in separate rooms? Did you like it?

Like many of the others here, we do it and enjoy it both ways.

No one, however, has mentioned the dimension of playing alone. The couples that we play with have no problem with our spouses getting a quick one when possible. Especially when one spouse is traveling or otherwise tied up with work the freedom to seek out a play partner (or play couple) for sex is naughty and nice.

We have done both … my wife prefers separate rooms while I really don't care but I find it a real turn on watching her getting pounded by another guy.

Same room for us, no doubt. Our biggest turn on is watching each other play. Twice for small periods of time, upon request we separated. Long term relationship with this couple, so we’re happy to engage their wishes. While still fun, afterwards we both agreed watching each other is #1.

As a bisexual woman, it is double for me when my husband and a woman who I love are enjoying themselves together. There is both a clinical side of studying what they are doing and how they respond, and an emotional aspect that sometimes overwhelms me. They say it makes me a better sex partner. (I believe it.)

We have done both, we prefer same room and group play, but I have had very satisfactory experiences in separate rooms. Also, separate rooms are great to help nervous guys with performance issues.

We went once to another couple's house and we started playing together but then we decided to split into different rooms (at least initially). I had a very good round with him and we decided to check on them but they were not done yet, so he decided to show me around their house in the meantime. We arrive to a room where they have a pool table. I mentioned to him how awesome was the fact they have a pool table in the house. By that time several minutes had passed and I noticed he was ready for a second round. We both were almost naked so he kissed my neck from behind and asked me: "do you want to do it here on the pool table?" I agreed and he had me there on the table as per his request. That was the only time I had sex on a pool table and since then we both, my husband and I, we cannot see a pool table without thinking on that night.

Did it. Liked it. Will probably do it again.

It's a different experience when you are playing without being watched.

That's why I tell him to close his eyes sometimes while we do it.

Love it and actually prefer it, I can perform when I need to, but I prefer not having to think about what I look like or say in the heat of the moment.  I like knowing my husband is having his fun while I enjoy another woman's man.

For us it was all depending on the place & atmosphere, I would really enjoy watching Kim being switched from one guy to another at house parties, most times they would go to a backroom or sometimes they would use the open bed in the main room.  For me it totally depended on the woman if she want to go to a separate room in the back or the main room.

We all have our preferences when it comes to swinging. One of the big ones is "Same room or separate room" swinging.

We had a poll on this very topic for years, but sometimes it's nice to start fresh and see what the current generation of swingers board members think about this topic.

Does any of you other newbies feel the same way i do when it comes to being in the same room with your husband, bf, or partner? I mean when we started into this, one of our rules was always to be in the same room, but a situation came up where we were seperated and i found it easier for me. I don't like my fiance watching me enjoy sex with another man. I can't get get into it. I also have a guilty feeling of being with another man in front of him. He says it does not bother him. it does not bother me to be in the same room with him and another girl, but i can't watch him brcause, yes it do get a little jealous. Especially when he is making her moan and groan. I rather for us to go do our thing with the person and share stories afterward. Am i trying to change the rules? and am i wrong for it? I asked for the newbies to answer this question, but i would also love to hear what others may have to say. Thank you all for your responses.

Would appreciate for, stories, and experiences of a date night swap during which the two swapped couples go out separately for the evening and then trade back at the end of the evening or the following morning. I suppose it could be considered simultaneous hotwifing or separate room swinging of sorts. Have any tried it? What did each couple do and how did it go? Thanks in advance!

We here so much about not doing separate rooms; can anyone share their experience? Our first was separate and it was a good experience. In fact I think it was hotter than same room because thinking about what was going on in the other room in lieu of watching it was somewhat of a mystery. Talking about it later was great. I think sometimes people in same room situations can't let go fully. Your thoughts. (I do understand there is a level of safety concern but with the right people it could diminish the safety issue.)

I was going to post this in the same/separate rooms thread going on but I thought it might be more appropriate as another thread.

Many seem to have the opinion that same room only couples have issues regarding "letting" their SO be alone. Here is a twist on the subject that I have pondered for a while. I do not mean to insult anybody and I am not suggesting that all separate room couples have issues but here goes....

I personally think that many couples that swing ONLY in separate rooms have issues of their own. Could it be that they are only comfortable without their SO and if so, Why? Can they only have a good time and let loose if their SO isn't there, again, why? They don't want distractions...what does that mean? If you can't be comfortable with your SO there then maybe they should examine why. Many say these things without really explaining. To me if you can't be yourself in the same room as your SO says something. So to those that are separate rooms only, tell us why in detail. Explain distractions. Explain why you can only be yourself only when alone. Explain to us why it let's you try other things you wouldn't do with your SO. Now to me, THAT is an issue. Maybe I'm missing something.
