Recreational use of ED Drugs

Recommended Posts

We are sure that this has been talked about at length before, so if that is the case, just point us to the thread(s).

If you do not have ED, but rather lose it after 15-30 minutes without an orgasm (she on the other hand has had plenty by that time), but after resting for 5-10 minutes can just be assisted to completion (i.e. masturbation with her crawling all over him - kissing, touching, etc.), is this a form of ED?

We know it also has to do with current physical fitness and stamina as well, but we are working on that. Let's face it, going 30 minutes non stop at our age (late 40's) is a lot of physical activity for just about anything, sex or sports, especially if you aren't currently highly physically active.

Anyhow, our question is, would a little pill be of help here, and are there any possible health concerns (other than the 4 hour erection), using a little pill to keep things going?

Since he does not have ED and is usually able to 'finish the race' so to speak, would taking a pill be bad for him? What about possibly making it only work with the pill, does that ever happen on a physical level? (psychological level should not be a problem for him)

To cut to the chase, we did some non-prescription ordering from Canada, and before we go down that road, we want to know what other people have experienced.

And yes, we know that we would be best off to ask our doctor, but he is a guy, and our doctor is a lady (around our age) and we live in a small town. We trust them to hold up the Hippocratic oath, but still, he is a guy.

I've used Viagra and Cialis at times, and they were wonderful times. Stayed up longer, the second time came around a lot quicker. Never had any problems with it.

With Viagra, I only used 25 Mg, the lowest dose. Don't remember what the dosage for Cialis.

Rather than going the Canadian route, talk to your doctor. (Assuming you have health care) You can usually get Viagra for just the co-pay, 4 dosages per month. Get a big dosage (50 or 100 mg) and split it. Your doctor might even be able to give you a sample dosage to get you started, can't hurt to ask.

Non-physician talking: if you feel that you're having any trouble maintaining, there's a chance that it's a cardiac, blood pressure, or diabetic issue and that you should clear this up with your physician.

With that said, I've had plenty of times where I get "close" during prolonged activity and my body reacts as if I had an orgasm, even though I didn't: I'm done until it's time to go again. I assume this is a normal thing that happens to most people sometimes.

EastinWest - We are pretty certain it is more sedentary than cardiac or blood pressure, and definitely not diabetic. Meaning he just doesn't get enough exercise and we like to eat good food (i.e. we like to cook and make enjoyable meals, no deep fried stuff, but still would not necessarily fall under healthy). He is working on the sedentary and we try to watch portion control, the latter being the bigger challenge.

But yeah, it probably woudn't hurt to get a physical

Yeah, I'm not trying to be an alarmist about it, but it'd be irresponsible not to point it out. There are a ton of underlying health conditions for which even mild ED is a warning sign, although it's far more likely to be related to general stress/hormone/fitness issues.

You can get bloodwork done at the same time which will help answer additional questions about how you're "feeling".

We agree EinW. We are leaning more towards the fitness angle based on the fact that after about 30 minutes he is trying to catch his breath. We thought maybe perhaps that if he had to stop his 'workout', the ED meds would keep him up and she cold 'grab the reins' so to speak.

I won't tell you my age, but I'll be signing up for Medicare this month. lol My wife and I have been together for 45 years now, and in the last few years we've been dabbling a bit in the lifestyle. While I get an erection it does tend to fade and is sometimes not ready for action when it should be. I got a written prescription from my Dr. and have been getting 5 mg of generic Cialis from Northwestpharmacy.com in Canada. I just ordered 90 pills for $116 including shipping, so a huge bargain compared to U.S. prices. They have a phone number you can call from the U.S. if you have questions. Just register online. Then, take a pic of your prescription and your check and email it to them. It takes about three weeks to receive it in the mail, I think because of processing and customs, etc. I have found them to be reliable and excellent to deal with.
