    Default Drinking and swinging

Do most couples require a drink or two to loosen up enough to become flirty (or more), or are there other couples out there that do not drink but enjoy or swing totally sober?

We do not have a problem with others drinking (as long as they don't get sloppy drunk, that's a turn-off), but for health reasons (her) and moral support (him), we don't drink.

    Just curious.

We don't get drunk but do have a drink or two to loosen up, especially if it's the first time meeting the couple/gentleman.

We've played sober and drunk. I am comfortable playing sober, but I really like the feeling of a good buzz while having sex.

Typically I will not play with a man if I feel he's had too much to drink. It just doesn't go well.

We drink during the meeting part. He usually stops after the 2nd, I might go further, depending on the situation. I know that I can become quite the slut if I drink too much; can be fun at the time but cause 2nd thoughts the next morning.

I don't drink and generally prefer to play with people who haven't been drinking.

Anecdote time - the first couple we almost hooked up with, before we really started as swingers, the young lady would get crazy drunk before we started messing around. Once she did, she would be all over me. It never led to more than heavy petting because it was very clear there were consent issues at risk... which, selfishly, I think was horrible because I wanted nothing more than to rip her clothes off and make her writhe, but I couldn't because I was fairly certain she wouldn't be doing any of it if she had been sober.

I have a drink or two during the meet, but that about it. It's really about the only time I drink. I smoke weed the rest of the time, but that makes some people uncomfortable, so we leave that out of swinging.

I prefer not to drink while talking to people at parties and when swinging. I am just wittier, more alert. Makes the sex for me better as well. The only exception to that, is a fascination with eating my wife's pussy while a little lit, but I save that for home. I do enjoy a glass of wine, but only in an intimate setting.

My wife likes to have a few to feel more relaxed.

I kinda like it when the women get a little lit and get super slutty. For men, if they don't get it hard, I'm kinda pissed. I just feel like watch what you drink so we all can have a great time...grrrr.

Much the same as what kikonkrome says -- ethyl alcohol increases the chance of a failure to launch and dulls the whit.

To add one more related thing, whacky weed I have known to enhance a sexual experience. But smoke hurts my lungs. I no longer do it.

Neither of us drink at all...not because we have a problem with it, but because I don't really enjoy the taste of alcohol and the Ms. is watching what calories she takes in...she'd rather have chocolate than alcohol.

That's why I limit to one or 2 drinks early on in the night and then stop. The plan at least is to have a couple drinks, have a bite to eat and chat a while. If things head back to someone's place or a hotel room, by the time we get there and chat a little more, I shouldn't even be feeling buzzed anymore. It does make the talking to people quite a bit easier for me though. I am not really a people person by nature, so putting me in a situation where I not only have to talk to strangers, but I am planning on having sex with them? I need something to loosen me up a bit until I get comfortable, lol. I'm sure once I have more experience in the lifestyle this will not be as much of an issue though.

As for the weed. Yeah, my wife loves it when we smoke before sex. I last longer, she enjoys it more, what more could you ask for? Like I said though, it seems that throws up a huge red flag for some couples. I'd hate that to be the one thing that turns them off from us, so we just don't bring it up. If it was brought up we would not lie about it of course, but why bring it up?

Also, if the smoke hurts your lungs, there are always edibles.

    This is true.

We were invited to a house party. The host and hostess had received a recipe from other lifestyle acquaintances for making Magic Brownies, as I believe they were called. Things went, for me, not quite as planned. First, the host and hostess are amateur, at best. They used far too much of the "essential" oil. Second, having never before experienced a brownie, half hour after eating one and sensing no change in the way I felt, I ate another. That was a mistake.

    I'll know better next time.

We always called them special brownies, not magic, but yeah, I'd know what someone meant. It probably wasn't too much, you just ate 2!!. Also, it creeps up on you. You gotta wait at least 30-45 minutes to start feeling the effects. Some people it takes even longer, like my wife takes about an hour before she starts to feel it. When it hits you though, you know it. With edibles, when it does finally hit, it hits a lot harder.

THAT is funny!!! We (I) had a similar experience at a party. I ate a "special" brownie and nothing happened. As a drinker, I expected to feel a buzz in 15-20 minutes as I do after ingesting a top shelf vodka rocks. I was told the brownies were "good shit" but when I felt nothing after about half an hour, I thought wtf and had another! At the time, I had no experience with THC. Well, the first brownie hit after 45 minutes and then BAM!! a bit later the 2nd kicked in. We had a hell of a good time, I was wasted I guess but had no performance problems and was still VERY happy and horny when the party wrapped up. Mrs Doc insisted on driving home and told me the next day that she wished I'd have worn socks so she could have stuffed one and shut me up on the hour long drive. All in all, it was a good experience but next time, I'll only have one.

My guess is the double-dose of brownies is not uncommon. I have two "It's not workin', Man!" experiences with edibles, one at a concert in Germany (hashish brownies) and another at a store in Morocco. The concert was riveting. I bought a cocktail dress at the store.

Yeah, it's something a lot of people do, because it takes so long to hit you, they think it's not working, so go for more. Then when it all hits at once, you are long gone. The craziest I ever did was we made a whole batch of 12 brownies for 7 of us. Everyone else only had one, but I had provided and made them, so I decided to go ahead and have the 6 remaining ones. That was a fun night. We also smoked a couple blunts waiting for the effects to kick in. I was still high when I woke up the next day, and through part of the day.

If at a club or at Desire, drinking can be plentiful but we are athletes in bed as a result. We don't get sloppy drunk but have been known to get a really good buzz on. I'm a bit shy but very sexual and when alcohol unlocks and releases all my inhibitions, I'm a stallion if I do say so. Same for my wife, minus the shy and stallion part. lol

Every experience except for 1 we have had some drinks to loosen up. The only time we didn't was a MFM with a guy we met online, we just wanted to try it again and it was during the day, we met him at the hotel him and the wife smoked first and then we just went for it. It was fun and your alittle more aware of what's going on sobar, but if you have some drinks in your your a lot more loose and relaxed

I definitely like to have my buzz on, but if I had my way I would probably be buzzed every time I have sex. If I'm sober I'm just far too in my head and struggle to let myself go to the experience, I still have fun but it's not the all consuming full body experience that I have with a few drinks in me.

We normally have a drink to be social. Mike will never have more than two drinks. I am not a fan of drunks and I have seen men get nasty. People should know their limits.

Plus, of course, over drinking by the guy leads to dissatisfaction for the girls. I tend to have only one or two drinks before a "performance."

We were given some gummy bears aboard our cruise by a couple. We did not want to be disrespectful, so we took it (no we didn't eat it).

My husband got a little worried about taking something from a stranger not really knowing what it is or how we would react to it (we have never done any type of edibles). Yeah we knew it had THC as they said it did. But what my husband was most worried about was the possibility of being laced with molly or something else. Glad we didn't as it could have possibly ruined our trip. (Or made it better LOL)

As far as drinking, we can hold our own, and know when to stop. We also drink a water bottle in between drinks.

We have never played sober. Might have to try it sometime? Our experiences have always been in a sort of party atmosphere.

We've had experiences where a party playmate has shown up unexpectantly wanting to play. Sometimes we do. Sometimes we don't.
