Swingers social media?

Every once in a while, I have the thought that there ought to be a swingers social media site. The kink community has Fetlife - which, for those who don't know it, is a bit like Facebook but with kink. Swingers are welcome, but it's primarily for the BDSM crowd.

I'd love it if there was a swinger social media site... mostly because I'm dying to make a status post about the possibility of my wife going out solo to our local club tonight. Can't really do that on Facebook... I mean, I could but a lot of people would turn funny colors and scream "TMI" very loudly. Could do it on Fet, and probably will, but not as many people there are on quite the right wavelength. Similar, but not the same.

Has anyone else ever had this thought? Is there a (in)decent site out there that I just don't know about?

I don't think so. When I think of social media sites, I think of Facebook and Fetlife... which center around having a selected network for "friends" and seeing the status, images and whatever posted by those friends. Swingersboard is a forum, and a public one at that. Fetlife has forums, but it isn't a forum.

Ah, I understand.

Swingersboard has Social Groups. The activity in these groups grows with time but is probably nowhere near as active as Facebook.

Yeah, no. Still not what I'm looking for.

Clearly, there is an opportunity here for some tech savvy swinger. (Why, oh, why didn't I take Computer Science in college?)

There are several up and comers that are personals sites but have more of the Facebook feel than say SLS, two that I'm aware of are Swinging Local and Mixing Sexy. I'm one of the last three people on the planet that doesn't have a personal Facebook, so can't really speak from personal knowledge, but I hear mention here of private swinging Facebook groups too, so there's that possibility.

I think the problem with what you are looking for is 1) launching a new site is a really hard thing to do, and it takes time and hard work to build a following, and 2) the kind of social media you are describing is more "immediate", and most people just aren't in swing mode 24/7 like they are with other aspects of their lives. For example, someone may post three pics a day on FB of their beloved cat's antics, but they swing just once a month.

Just as an aside, I would argue that forums and a site like this are a form of social media, just a different flavor as you point out. The difference here, also as you point out, is our content is less immediate but more lasting. Both have their places for sure.

I don't have anything new to add, but having been doing much more hotwifing and separate dates lately, I for one would love to hear what happens. So Lionheart72, please do keep us posted here. I'm very interested to hear how you and your wife are handling the emotional side of things and how you deal with any issues that may have come up.

Howdy, I tried to create on instagram a profile dedicated to swingers and it worked, we are now about 4k, and let's say about 50% of followers are swingers for real, the are 50 simple people that are not sure to become or not swingers etc. . Also recently Instagram warned me that some photos are ineligible to be posted, and if I'll have more like that I may be banned. Do you think it is right?
