Mommy Make Over for the wife?

Recommended Posts

My wife was all of 120 lbs, no boobs (perky A cup), butt or hips (like a size 5), and a super flat tummy after 1 child when we were married. Almost 8 years and 3 kids later she is no longer 120 lbs, boobs are still A cup but not as perky, she now has a nice sized butt and hips which she likes & so do I, but her tummy is no longer super flat. It looks like she is a few months pregnant which isn't a problem to me.

I think that she feels that she's not as attractive to me versus when we first met. Which isn't totally wrong, yet I'm still satisfied with her as she is. When she was 120 let's just say sex was not as fun versus now. She couldn't take all of me in any position but she could stand missionary which got boring quickly and was actually surprised being that she had only been 20 for a few months and I was 21.

Anyways I'll get to the topic. She now wants a mommy make over but she's on the line of saline implants and fat transfer from tummy to boobs and more butt. I didn't agree quickly with the breast implants because I thought it was super expensive (brand new luxury car expensive) and I knew that I couldn't afford that. But now I feel that it's her body and she can do whatever she wants to it and I owe it to her. It doesn't matter what the cost is I'll work forever just so she can have her confidence back. I'm just glad she wants it done for her and not for me.

The only reason she even considering it in my opinion is because working out is literally too much for her, and we were in a wreck a few years ago and her leg hasn't really been the same. The doctors told her what was wrong, I think it's a muscle tear that's not rebuilding itself in her butt. But I may be wrong. Anyways I want to know if she is choosing the right path?

I think you have hit upon the answer - if she is doing it for herself and not to satisfy someone else, and it's something she has researched and considered over time, not just a snap decision, then it's her decision to make.

IMO cosmetic surgery should be the last option, never the first. If she can't work out because of a muscle tear in her butt, then see a better doctor and get it looked at and repaired if needed.

She hasn't for sure said she's absolutely going to get it. It was just a thought. She's done no research to my knowledge, but I sure have.

I agree, it's not the first option by far. I'm in the army, so we kind of get what doctor they tell us to. But like I stated in my original post I'm not 100% sure if it is a tear. I still encourage her to do the exercises she can do at home since she's here all day. But she's usually doing homework and dealing with the 2 youngest kids.. Also this would in no way be happening anytime soon. I said I owe it to her, not when I was going to deliver it lol.. Thanks for your insight.

Yea, from my experience with military MD's you will definitely want to get a second opinion when you can. Once you are on your own insurance be sure to have it looked at.

I'll be getting out of the military in less than 2 years. I'll be receiving disability from them but we'll be living somewhere in or near Houston and we will most definitely get her checked out.

Ok...I know a little bit about this. I can see the confidence thing. Nothing like a good set of hooters to get the looks back. But there are other ways to do that. If you do the body for life thing, the whole work out thing is based that if you build muscle you can change your body shape. Fake boobs are cool. I like them. The nipples will always stick up. But that is a rough surgery. Buy her a car instead. Take her to Italy or something. I say wait a year before you move forward with an expense like that and save the money that it will cost before you do it. For some reason it is easier to spend borrowed money on things like that than it is to spend it once you have earned and saved it.

Thanks. You are right! After viewing multiple videos of the different types of surgeries I'm not for it. Not because of the cost but if looked like the recovery will suck. I've had multiple surgeries on my feet to include a partial toe amputation. My most recent surgery was 24 Jan 14. I'm still in pain... So we've decided to try to workout together once the doctor clears me. This way we'll both be kind of on the same level. I'd have to keep saving for a few years for that car. She wants an Audi Q7..

Okay, my problem with this post is the obvious lack of research thus far. No offense, as I realize posting here is sort of a step in that direction. But a quick Google search will let you know that a boob job costs far less than a new car, especially an Audi! In Dallas the average cost is 5000 and in Austin, 4000. My friend got one last year in Mississippi for under 4000. No, it is not a cheap chop shop job either. I have had the pleasure of giving them a nice feel up and they arr quite nice. Minimal scarring, for her as everyone heals differently, at about 6 months out.

I'm not saying do it, I'm not saying don't do it. I'm saying you have a lot of research ahead. With that being said. It leaves me wondering if any research has been done about alternative exercises she may be able to do with her injuries?

Also, you mentioned something about fat transfer. I'm assuming you mean something along the lines of liposuction? For what I know about liposuction, it has to be maintained. It is not a permanent fix and if a healthier lifestyle is not used in conjunction, it is something she will have to continue to get or it will be a waste of money. Fat cells replenish. You can't just move them around and expect them to stay where you want them.

No offense taken. That's what I thought it would cost a few years back without any research or Google searches. I haven't done any research for any alternate exercises for her injury, I believe the doc gave her some it hurt so she stopped... After I just read what I've said this far, she isn't ready for any type of surgery at all. Thank you for taking the boxing gloves off and being straight forward... I now know what has to be done before any cutting begins.

The other part to this is it never ends with just one surgery. Some day they will come out or need to be redone. I am 45 and had a girlfriend that had the boobs done when she was in her early twenties. It was hot but she has had two more. One leaked and she had them enlarged as her body grew. So I think it was a total of 5 breast surgeries in all. Plus her nose job. Good luck.

With all this in mind I'd rather buy a car. Thanks.

You said the exercises hurt so she stopped doing them. Is there any way she can see a decent physical therapist? The guy I see on occasion is fabulous. He does this thing, it's got a name but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called, where he manipulates the pressure points around the injury. I would go in there crying and come out smiling. Amazing. I've been to other pt where they just have you do exercise and then ice.

Also a good massage therapist might be helpful. If she's favoring the injured area it can cause a whole other host of issues.
