All of what was posted is most likely true. I know I’m foolish for ignoring everything I know to be the risks of unprotected sex. Most of my play is unprotected, very few guys put on condoms. When I was younger and dating some did and some I made sure did. Only one guy in my life put a condom on for a blow job. I remember asking Really? Other than the first few times a guy came in my mouth, having a condom in my mouth was sickening. I got so nauseous.

I’ve only heard about dams, never saw one.

Worse than I thought. Sorry, a partner recently gleefully swallowed me. I am checked annually, but I don’t think it’s a great idea to swallow in the lifestyle. But I guess unprotected oral sex even without swallowing can cause STD transmission.

The risks of unprotected sex can vary tremendously depending on the type of activity. Screwing random pickups in a bar - high risk. Playing within a closed circle of friend - much, much lower risk.

There is a risk in oral sex, herpes and hpv in particular. But it is safer than genital sex without protection. After all, over 90% of our immune system is between our lips and stomach. There is a misconception that not swallowing is safer. Actually, once the dick and sperm are in your mouth, that's pretty much all that needs to happen. The stomach is safe. Blood born disease like HIV are usually only a problem if the mouth has open sores. Easy to tell if there is blood in your mouth. Stop the activity.

I have had oral sex with a lot of men. A lot. Never protection, over 15 years not a single sti. My wife's best friend got a divorce, banged a half dozen guys, caught like 5 STIs. Much depends on the individual. If you are a sickly person, gets everything that comes around, be safe.

The problem of STDs comes up in here about once a month. My general advise is if you are concerned enough that it affects your sex life, find a different hobby, go poly, remain within the walls of a committed relationship. Get tested and stay within a swinger group to minimize exposure. Use common sense. Listen to your gut.
