Everyone on this board is at a grade level. I'm sure many of you have changed your status since joining the board. When you first joined the board what category were you compared to now?

I joined this site about 18 months ago and really didn't know much about the lifestyle. I knew what the general public knows (that couples invite others into their sex life) but not about all the other aspects of swinging or the type of people that actually swing. I have discovered most are just like us and have average vanilla lives except for the sex thing.

We have gone from a HS Freshman to now a HS Senior.

I know I should have name the thread "Stupid Analogy Poll".

I kind of felt guilty being honest... We feel pretty comfortable with the lifestyle so went with "Master's Degree". People like TNT remind me that I'm not a god yet...

:D

But - really - I think many of the folks here fall into the "doing it - comfortable with it" category. This is like an Ivy League College!!!

....

Well...we did chose the Doctorate Degree...I figured I scream "Oh God" enough and Ted has told me for years that he is God, so...it seemed like the right answer.

We've been in the lifestyle for about a month now, we've been with a few couples and they all say that we are good and can't believe that we have not been in the lifestyle for long. I just do what feels good and it just comes naturally. So far I have no regrets and hope to be in the lifestyle for a while.

Actually a clever analogy - although you make high school seem like a very long journey.

We joined the board as college students (skipped through high school very quickly) and we now have our Bachelor's degree.

I chose Master's degree. Tested right out of high school in less than a month, thanks to many resources... not the least of which was/is this community.

Good question, although we are curious....what is the general criteria for each grade considered to be?

And, just answered our own question lol, found the poll attached.....

and we would be mid level college students. :)

Man that was a tough question!!

At first I wasn't going for a high rating until I played the game of what have I done and how many times have I done it. Followed by a round of how comfortable am with.....

I quickly moved up the scale. I clearly have not had the lenght of time that TNT have..(I bow to them), but I have managed to pack a lot of fun in that time. I think we are Masters Degree level. I guess I am going to have to work on my doctorate now (hmmmm a thesis on pirates and purple monkeys??).

I selected Bachelor's even though we also fit well into the Master's degree in that we are "really comfortable with the lifestyle."

We still look at swinging as an ever-learning process. And we love to learn. :D

We would have to be masters degree even though I don't think of us as very active swingers.

The information and unknown part is long past.

Those of you that have graduated from Swinger High or Swinger University will be receiving an official diploma that you can hang on your wall at home or at work next to your other diplomas and/or pictures of you shaking hands with past or current presidents. It would make for nice conversation at work or at home, don't you think.

Those of you (including myself) that have not graduated high school will receive a wall size student ID.

Teresa and Ted (or should I address you as Dr. Teresa and Dr. Ted) we would be honored for you to speak at this years graduation ceremony.

Remember, all you alumni don't forget to mail you donations to show your support of your alma mater. ;)

Masters.

Because it's (almost) 10 years and I can't remember them all. :(

I voted Masters Degree. I swear it feels like we just started, and yet, in meeting and playing with some newbies, we realized just how far we've come and how comfy we are with everything. Three years and countless 'wow, that was fun' comments later, here we are. :D

Well, do I feel stupid. I answered wrong. I am at work just finished lunch and half dozeing off ;) . I answered freshmen before I finished reading all of them. (I thought freshman was "no experience) We are happily awaiting graduation. We have found a couple, met for dinner, just waiting for a time when each of us couples are free for a nite of fun. :D

Same here LM. Mr. intuition and I are not currently swinging, and have been away from it for some 2 1/2 years now, so we didn't really fit in anywhere very well. We still really dig it, but while we're very comfortable with the lifestyle and the way it fits into our marriage, we haven't done everything yet. I feel like we've gleaned a lot of knowledge from relatively little experience. So I chose Bachelor's degree. We've got a ways to go before I can be cocky enough to say we've earned a Doctorate. Couples like VegasLee and Laura have their doctorate. :bowing:

We went from never having stepped foot in a swingers school to a Bachelor Degree in a period of three weeks from saying to each other "hey, this could be allot of fun". Now we are solidly in the Masters Degree category since we've done most of the possible scenarios (parties, couples, threesomes, moresomes, solo, even poly) and are very comfortable with ourselves, our relationship, and the Lifestyle. But just as Julie said, everytime we think we've seen it all... we haven't.

We both hated high school, too bad this high school wasn't available to us back when...

We're definitely college students, but very comfortable college students.

We've got our Bachelors Degrees (is it a BA or a BS?) and are currently working on our Master'. Helluva' thesis we have to write . . .

We originally voted ourselves in the Master's Degree category.

That's where we still are.

We've got a long way to go for the Doctorate.

There's a couple of folks on here that I believe are past the Doctorate stage. They qualify as Deans, or University Presidents.

Now, to work on making the Dean's list........

Somewhere between Bachelor and Master - and I managed to go through high school in about 10 hours ...... lol ... if that would have been real high school, I could have saved myself a lot of grief

We have only tested the waters. So far we have only had the MFM threesome encounters with the same single male. We don't have any plans on expanding any time soon. However, we have discussed having some fun on a 3 day vacation we have planned for just the two of us.

We are now very comfortable with our current set up. We are having fun and that is all that counts.

We picked "bachelors". Not sure if we'll ever see ourselves "masters" (but we'll keep working on it. Let us know if you can help.) Fun poll. It would be interesting to attach numbers to see how many play experiences it took to get each of us to the grade we feel we're at. (Was it rigorous training, or do we have what amounts to an honorary degree? )

Hmmm, think of the presents we'll get with each graduation!!!

I voted Bachelor's but am definitely nearing the master's thesis stage.

Definitely Masters...but well short of Doctor.

We've got a pretty good grip on the ins and outs of our hobby but have much more to see and learn. We've had to say no to someone who we like, been told no by someone we like, seen some drama unfold at a club and party, had some unbelievable sexual experiences and found our best friends in this lifestyle.

Thus far it's a pretty good cross-section of the lifestyle and the vast majority of it has been outstanding. We feel confident that we can handle ourselves well in virtually all lifestyle situations but having said this means that we'll run into something bizarre soon and run for cover.

We just recently became a high school graduate. Although I think we would be working on our bachelor degree at this point if we didn't have so many family obligations to deal with.

I have my Doctorate degree when it comes to swinging. Been in the swinger life-style for over 8 years. I need more than sex to satisfy my sexual appetite. Now mixing both Swinging and BDSM to get my fix.

What a cute poll. I'd say we have our Masters Degree. There are things we haven't done yet but hoping to still do in the future...and there are things we aren't at all interested in doing so maybe we'll never get that Doctorate Degree. :)

Still wondering how that first day is going to be. The feeling you get before going worrying about the friends you will meet. Will they like me?

What's the event or moment that stands out in your memory the most while swinging- or, the most exciting fantasy that you got to see fulfilled?

For me (Mr. T), it was getting to watch Mrs. C share a double ended dildo with another lovely woman and listening to the both of them orgasm at the same time- several times, in fact.

This quote is from the thread on "How many Partners have you had?"

Rather than continue to take that thread in a direction away from its original intent, I thought this would make for an interesting discussion.

      I, for one,

      a) would not want to find out that I was on anyone's written record of who they have slept with. As a response in the other thread said, what if someone (who should not) were to come upon said list. What if you pissed off someone and they found your list only to opt to not only hurt you but everyone you've contacted?

      b) I can say with fair certainty that I could never make such an accurate list, for the simple reason of many of those that I have had sex with I don't know the last names of (let alone their addresses or other contact information). So should there be an issue where my past partners would need to be contacted, I (and moreso they I guess) would be in trouble.

I would like to ask what others think and feel about this. As an issue of responsibility, I do see Pairbond's point. But, at the same time, isn't that a risk that we all take, to one degree or another?

Do you keep any sort of a list of those you have had sexual contact with? If so, why (is it for responsibility reasons as Pairbond mentioned or for some other reason).

This is me on the outside looking in. I will try to describe this situation as best I can.

I have some swinger friends who have a single male friend whom the husband of the couple I am friends with has been friends with since childhood. The situation lies with the single male friend. What's funny to me is that when he's single he is a very active swinger. He tends though to date vanilla girls. He claims that he is completely monogamous when he dates. (but of course has a lifetime membership to one of the swinger websites)

He is now in what I would call a serious relationship. He has been dating the same girl for about a year. She is completely in love with him and of course they spend a good amount of time with my friends. The girlfriend sees my friend (the wife of the couple) as a good friend and confidant. What I have failed to mention so far is that yes the single male and my friends have had a swinging relationship. It did stop when he became involved with the girl.

The single male friend (knowing that the girlfriend may hear some conversations that would leave her scratching her head) outs my friends as swingers to his girlfriend but of course leaves out the "minor" detail that he is as well. You know kind of running damage control so that she won't think anything of some off color conversation that she may overhear.

Here is my question. They have chosen to keep their involvement with each other a secret from her. This is just my opinion, but I would feel wrong being a confidant and close friend of someone that I had such a big secret to hide from them. I would not want the worrying all the time that someone would reveal our secret (my friend likes to mix her vanilla and swinger friends at vanilla parties). Why leave a bomb like that waiting to go off at any moment? Tell the truth, get it out there so she can decide whether it's something she can deal with and move on. I feel sorry for this girl at times because know I would probably feel like a fool if everyone knew this but me and I found out after my relationship had been serious for a while.

I hope ya'll were able to get the situation I was trying to describe. I am curious to see what the majority thinks on this.

I'm new here, visited this site because my wife and i are open with having sex with other people and done so some in the past. When I was still young i thought i would only marry a woman that had been only with me. Then after i found out that my fiance had screwed another guy i thought it was OK, or even hot. But overall she had fewer partners than me. Later, both my first wife and my now wife have both had more partners than me, my first wife a few more but then she fucked other guys while we were engaged and married, and my current wife a LOT more. so my attitude has changed considerable since I was young and first dating.

      My question is-
Before you got married did you have any limits about how many previous sex partners your wife had that would be too many?

Women are welcome to contribute too. Thanks to all of you.

Have any of you guys been intimidated when a women talks about her sexual past?

We met a couple recently that we were considering swinging with, they were nice and very attractive. We went to dinner first to get to know each other a little bit. She started talking about swinging and said that they had been in the lifestyle about 5 years. Then she started talking about her college days and how she had orgies and sex parties almost every weekend, how she must have slept with at least 200 guys in college and another hundred or more since they started swinging.

After dinner my hubby told me that he didn't know if he could perform with her, trying to live up to her past and all that. We have been with several couples and a few guys and he never had a problem but just didn't think it would work with her even though she was very attractive (so was the guy). Maybe she exaggerated or maybe not, but she really intimidated him.

If she hadn't talked about it so much I think everything would have been fine.

Has anyone else had this happen?
