Youngest on the nude beach at Sandy Hook

Recommended Posts

Nude beaches are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get...

I think we went out of curiosity not looking for anything more. He thought he would see some hotties. I did think the crowd would be younger. I noticed more guys together. I know I'm not perfect and like that box of chocolates there were all different types, shapes and "sizes".

Mrs Doc says that there will always be someone older, fatter and uglier than us anytime we're at Haulover or any other nude venue. You discovered that truism on your very 1st visit. The first time we went to Haulover (more than 10 years ago) we were surprised at how many gay males were on the beach. As with most things, we found that the more visits we made to that beach, the more "normal" it all seemed. Go back, your comfort level will increase and your b/f will see some hotties.

Several decades ago(!), we took the nude beach plunge.

Never had been to a "clothing optional" resort before, took off from St. Louis, landed in St. Martin, took a taxi over to Club Orient. The driver --it was taxi #32, we'll never forget--asked us if it was our first trip to St. Martin and to Club O. Yes, we admitted we were newbies. We got to the resort about 45 min later,we picked up the key, he drove us to our mini-suite deluxe a few meters from the beach. He asked when our flight home was, and gave us his card. He said, "ring me up when it's time to leave--but you won't want to leave".

It was mid afternoon, there was still some sun. Like most nudie newbies, we decided to put on suits and walked down to the beach. About 200 naked people there. Some young, some old, some in shape, some way out of shape. There were some beach walkers with suits, some without (the beaches follow the laws of France--all beaches are public). We looked around, needed to put on some sunscreen. Looked again at the 200 naked people, none of whom were paying us any mind. Took off our suits, put them in the bag, put on the sunscreen. Pulled books from the bag. Imagined that in our pale white skin we somehow blended in.

About 30 min later, we were hot, the water looked good, we wandered into the bay to get wet. Started chatting with another couple while we were in the water. They quickly deduced (did not take Sherlock Holmes) that we were first timers, newly arrived, and then they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They insisted on buying us drinks at the beach bar, introduced us to some of their friends, and within a few minutes we ceased to notice that we--and everyone else--had not a stitch on. It took just that little time to see naked as normal.

We got used to breakfast, beach, lunch, and beach naked. Spent the morning figuring out what not to wear, rinsed off in the afternoon in the outdoor showers. Dinner? Mrs. FL put on a pareo -- except when she got hot dancing, then she took it off. Yes, we went off property for dinner a couple of nights. Otherwise, "sand gravity" set in.

Suddenly--four or five days later-- it was time to leave. We scheduled the pickup with Taxi 32, He showed up, loaded our bags, we got in.

"Ready to leave?" he asked.

He already knew the answer.

"Already booked your return?" he asked.

He knew the answer to that one, too.

We've made a total of nine trips to Club O.

Going to a clothing optional beach for the first time can be intimidating. Beaches are not sexual. No sex on the beach unless you order Sex on the Beach drinks. We have been to both Orient Beach which is our first, and Gunnisons on Sandy Hook. We were on a cruise and met other couples who went with us to the beach. Getting undressed alone I think would be easier than when doing it for the first time with people you just met and you know you are going back to a ship with them. And yes there are all types on the beach but it is not sexual at all.

Not all swingers are nudists and not all nudists are swingers. As a result, nude beaches are usually more nude than 'naked'. It's about being out with a lack of cloths and not about being naked and exposed. Like dogs, sexiness and eroticism is usually not invited to the beach.

Our first experience at haulover was interesting. Hubby and I got nude but there were only a couple of people on the beach. One older guy came up and sat near us and began to masturbate. that was a turn off. next a nice couple set up next to us and we started talking. we got together with them that after noon for a very nice time. They were both bi and that fit right in. The next time was as Wreck Beach in Vancouver BC. that was a very nice place.

In Germany, we went to a place called the Thermal Bad, which is much more than a nude spa, but a water park also. The upstairs is a sauna nd nude area and we saw people from toddlers to people in their 80s. it all seemed natural to me.

Well congrats on your first nudist experience. As you found out, it's just about being textile free and nothing else. As long as you don't go somewhere creepy, once you quickly realize we are all just normal folk you get comfortable. In our experience you meet the nicest people naked, for some reason it seems that the other types don't typically take to being nude in public - which is great! I would also say that the average age of nudists is well up there. That's or a lot of pretty obvious reasons if you think about it, but we always welcome everyone and every body style, young, old, fat, thin, beautiful, ugly and everything in between. One thing nudism does very quickly is make you realize what is inside is important and what is on the outside is not so much. Sure there are some situations where sexual hookups occur, but for the most part that is kept discrete unless it's in specific lifestyle locations or events.

Welcome to no tan lines!!!!

A non-lifestyle co-worker asked me how do you not stare when on a nude beach? She knows I sometimes go to a nude beach, she wants to go to one and doesn’t know how to act.

Without telling her major details I told her we went to our first naked beach with people we just met on a cruise. Both couples were attractive fully clothed. Both claimed it was their first time. I tried not to look even though you just have to. I admit even though being straight I had to look at the women too.

Told her to wear dark sunglasses. I told her if you are like me it is difficult not to look. I even find myself looking at people who aren’t attractive. I said she will see many more unattractive bodies than people who are models. Very very few perfect bodies.

Where do you look? Am I the only one looking at genitalia? Male and female? I honestly don’t think about sex outright. I might look at men as sexually attractive and jealous of women with flat bellies.

Would you go to a nudist beach? Why would you go?

So Mr G and I are 'beach babes'. We frequently spend our weekends with our children on a beautiful secluded, tucked away beach with miles of wild coast line. When ever we invite friends (vanilla) friends to join us they always say...that's a nudist beach!!! We have never seen 'the nudist' part, we've always been busy playing with our kids along the shore with the other beach-goers...I actually thought it was a myth...

So last weekend I'm walking along with the shore with my brother-in-law, deep in conversation, when after about 20 minutes of walking we look up and realize that we have strayed from home, yes everyone around us is in the buff...

Oops we say to ourselves with cheeky smiles and turn back to return to our family and friends about 1km back along the shore.

When we return I say to my husband and friends...guess what we found? Mr G finds this amusing and says "really, let's go for another walk and check it out". So off me and Mr G go again...before we leave our family and friends we ask cheekily, does anyone want to come with us...to which one of our friends says "absolutely not, I don't want to go and look at people naked". I replied, "we're not going to look at people. People don't go to a nudist beach just to look at people naked. They go to feel free, liberated, and natural."

      Or do they?

I personally think there's nothing sexier that laying around in the sun, teasing Mr G, naked, covered in oil, tanning my white triangles while He lays next to me getting really turned on but not being able to do a thing about it...

Maybe because it is the climate we live in, here in northern Australia (i.e. tropical) but a good number of our swinging friends are naturists/nudists, as indeed we are.

The freedom of enjoying the outdoors sans clothing has certainly enhanced our swinging experience; we have met several couples and singles at our local (legal) free beach, sometimes engaging in activity right there at the beach or in the bush which backs our beach. Or we go home with our new friends.

The only problem is, like at so many nudist beaches, is the large number of men who seem to be voyeurs. They are not even nudists, but they are seen hiding behind trees clothed but with exposed genitals.

We have swung with guys we have met at the beach but only those who are nudists and whom we have approached. Only once have we accepted an offer from a single male who has approached us.

We are 40, and don't date under 30. Why?
Drama insurance. You remember those stupid dramatic fights you had with exes in your 20's?
Also ... the "I'm almost old enough to be your dad and that's kinda creepy" factor.
      Yeah. Best to pass.

I'm single female interested in swinging. I'm struggling to find relationships with single men into swinging. I'm not big on just casual fwbs. I'm 21 so I feel like my whole age group is not as open to swinging.
