  1. I’m beginning to think that clubs/professional house parties are a crap shoot during holidays. We attended a house party in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve. We’ve been before and even visited on Halloween where we had a fun time. However the vibe for New Years was just really weird. The number of attendees was higher than a non holiday night but there was no action other than a couple of the private rooms being occupied. We tried to get some action going in the group room but were interrupted multiple times. First there was the couple arguing because he wanted to play in the group room and she was obviously well past her comfort zone. She finally stormed out. Then while going down on my wife we hear some gawkers commenting that they can’t believe my wife has her boobs out in public. it was almost as if the place was invaded by vanillas. Anyone else ever run into something like this? Mr Nomad
  2. I tend to come in spurts. I haven't been here in a while due to finding a tribe that is really resonating with me that is connected to one of the first podcasts I listened to. Between that and traveling across the country to our winter destination while meeting sexy people along the way its been tough getting back here and reading/responding to things. That being said I don't think I qualify as a lurker anymore. Mr Nomad
  3. We've had this discussion with various playmates and the consensus seems to be that the following rules apply. You can speak about a couple only if the people you are speaking to were there and involved in the action. Otherwise there are no names. With regard to discussing how play went we were in agreement that discussing what happened is only acceptable from a learning perspective. Boasting is in bad taste. The rule stands that if they are telling you about their last play partners they are going to be telling their next play partners about you. Mr. Nomad
  4. We are in Las Vegas for a few months and while we haven't been to RR. The reviews I've been given verbally are mixed and I can't vouch for the lack of bias. We did however get into Whispers for their halloween party. It was a lot of fun. We went both Friday and Saturday and found a nice crowd. We don't typically play on a first date but while playing with each other a couple invited Mrs. Nomad over and we enjoyed some anonymous soft swap. Still like the connectivity of known friends with benefits better but they were really hot and putting on a show. He received top marks for his orals. They have a day time pool party that may bring us back during the summer months.
  5. Having known enough HRT (Hotel Restaurant and Tourism) employees they typically don't care one bit. I will say we caught one of them off guard when we checked in to a hotel for the weekend for a marriage retreat and booked a king size bed and asked for 4 room keys. I would simply send one guy in to get the room while everyone else waited outside. Depends on the situation though.
  6. Thats why there are extra towels.
  7. Interesting. We opted for a King bed because I enjoy the room when sleeping plus we prefer puppy piles vs completely separate play.
  8. Here's a dilemma that we ran into recently. Attended a meet and greet out of town and went to book the hotel. They asked 1 King or 2 queens. Whats your preference if you are planning on playing and why?
  9. We just got back from an amazing lifestyle weekend in Nashville which included a night at Menages. I have to say I really enjoyed that place with a few caveats. One thing I've definitely learned is that Mrs. and I are not pick up people at the club types. We just prefer to get to know people a little bit before playing. We look at clubs as a place to bring friends. So saturday night the place was rocking. We ended up hanging out in one of the sitting areas off the dance floor socializing and taking in the sights that walked by. We then decided to head upstairs and see what was going on over there. Lets just say we showed up at the exact right time. The room consisted of an L shaped couch with a center ottoman seat as well as an L shaped couch in the corner and a couple of other couches along the wall. A pair of beautiful ladies were getting to know each other and just so happened to be softly lit by a nearby lamp. As they were getting more involved one of their partners turned the light off drawing some boos from the crowd. Thankfully they were kind of enough to turn it back on and quickly owned the room. I've never seen a room with so many people suddenly become so quiet. Prior to this there was no real action going on in the room. Slowly you started to notice other couples taking action on the urges they were getting from watching these two lovely ladies and their handsome partners. It kicked things off for us too and we exited shortly to go back to our hotel with the friends we brought to the club. So my thoughts on this club. Previously we've been to Secrets in Orlando and Colette New Orleans. Colette was our favorite and still holds a place in my heart but I have to say. The size and layout of Menages was really well done. Originally I thought it would be a problem with the fact that they had NO BEDS in the place. It was all couches and seats and such. While it certainly didn't allow for some more comfortable private play it did allow for a lot of more open room play and having our hotel nearby helped. You can't beat playing in a nice king size bed back in the hotel vs the queen or even double mattress found in Colette. The dance floor while a little small offered a variety of activities besides dancing including some pole work and a couple of cages for ladies to dance in. Price-wise it was quite fair and from what I was told they just celebrated 19 years so they must be doing something right. They also have a dedicated room for DBSM that included a swing, a St. Andrews Cross and a few other items that I have no idea what they were but I assumed brought enjoyment to someone. Like Colette they provide setups, ice, mixers, etc. Unlike Colette you keep up with your own booze. They don't keep it behind the bar. Whenever we go back we will be bringing a cooler back of some sort with us. They do have ice buckets to set up if you a drinking a bottle that you want to keep cold. Hope this review helps and I'm still coming off the high of the weekend so this review may be biased. Mr. Nomad
  10. I'm sad to say I understood the references. No bites this month. Maybe next month when we come back up. There doesn't seem to be much to do in Beaufort, NC lifestyle wise.
  11. Nothing like a bunch of acronyms in the title to get someone's attention. So we are going to be in DC this week (July 14-19) if there is anyone that is interested in getting together for a No Pressure No Promises Drinks n Dinner in DC. Let us know. You can reach out to us here or reach out via Kik at the_nomads2006. Additionally if anyone wants to do an impromptu Meet and Greet sometime in the DC/NoVA area we are up for that as well. Scheduling is getting kind of tight but would love to get back to chatting with people in the lifestyle more. If you miss us we usually get back to DC about one week a month so let us know. Otherwise you can find us all over the place. East coast primarily but we have an adventure to Las Vegas coming up soon. Hope to see you soon. The Nomads
  12. Welcome BriBriMaddy. This appears to be your first post and while it wasn't that long ago seeing it pop up brought back some memories. Thanks for the reinforcement. We have definitely figured out what we are looking for now. She has officially decided she likes the ladies and I have officially decided that I like that she likes the ladies. We are looking for couples to meet up with and get to know before playing. Unfortunately life got in the way with getting our toys moved from DC to Florida (RV and sailboat) but we are starting to get back into it. Welcome to the site if you are new and if not welcome to the club of former lurkers.
  13. I'll start with the disclaimer that this debate which has been bumped from about 9 years ago was an interesting read but not something I want to really debate other than to say we don't play with people who must smoke it to swing. It is for the same reason we don't play with people who need a cigarette or a beer every 5 minutes. Because we don't like the taste/smell specifically when kissing others. I really wanted to pose the following question though. If a way was found to convey all of the health benefits of THC with none of the euphoria that it creates would you still advocate for it? Just a curiosity. Mr. Nomad
  14. We haven't really experienced this. We are still in the phase of "Which of our friends are swingers." We had one of our friends put an inflatable unicorn on another friends boat as a joke. I commented that I really like unicorns and one of our female friends made a bit of a comment on it. She was on my suspects list but has moved up. I think it would be awkward to play the whole we know but we act like we don't.
