  1. The review link seems to be broken for clubs, so here's a short one. Club 51 is under new management - The place (throughout the week) is "Hole in the Wall" (a gay bath house) and on Saturday nights its called " Pleasure Palace 51 ". The good: - Friendly staff, no frills basic tour and decent set of ground rules. - Rooms were clean and stripped linens were changed out by staff. Rooms have chains across the door with a no entrance policy for watchers if the chain is up. - On premises bar and drinks are reasonably priced. The bartender was a gorgeous tattooed man (wife's exact words) - too bad he wasn't part of the party. - Lockers with locks, with easy access located among the play room areas. - Non-smoking, but the fumes emanating from the smokers made that pretty irrelevant. The bad: - Single males allowed in (up to 8 at a time), though they mostly just sat at the bar harmlessly. No restrictions on where they go (no "must be escorted in this area" rules). - The majority of clientele were functional alcoholics over the age of 55 or so, with a tiny minority of spouses under 45 (we counted 2 or 3 under 45). Attire in the bar area was at best "casual", but generally was closer to "straight from work at the minimum wage job." 3 full sets of teeth for every 5 clients. - Facilities were nothing like the pictures, the club functions throughout most of the week as a gay bath house and the swinger's club is a Saturday night only thing...and the decor (or lack thereof) matches this theme. The place is decorated like a basic dive bar with a quarter of the charm. - All rooms (and there are quite a few) are about the size of broom closets, equipped with an old TV playing porn, and a basic mattress. Rooms were small and not themed in any way, except for the BDSM room which did not have the space to even think about a proper scene. The main playroom was also quite small, with a love swing as a center piece and 2 couches. - No lock down or cutoff time, people rolled in throughout the night. Some see that as a good thing, but we like to see every option by a certain time so we can bug out early if nobody attracts us. Verdict: Drive to Chicago - we haven't had a bad experience there yet. This seemed more of a local "working retired" hangout. The people were friendly, but not remotely attractive enough to push through the canned beer breath. May also be a good place to pick up sullen single guys, if that's your thing.
  2. Not really necro'ing the topic, but we're going to try it out this weekend. They seem to be under new management (new name "Club Paradise"), but there's absolutely zero info on this club anywhere, though it seems like a huge place. Our only concern is that it allows single males into the club, when my wife goes to play with women. We've been to many others in Chicago area and Missouri, and had fun about 3/4 of the time, striking out the other times. I'm just curious about the age makeup, as we're both in our early- to mid-thirties and have a hard time fitting in with the retirement crowd. We still have fun socially, but they just seem to be on a different level. If anyone can give some idea, could you let us know?
  3. There's maybe a few things to do differently in the future, my solution would be to glance up at the other Mrs, say something like "This isn't really working out for us" and then "Lets leave them to it." Take his Mrs.Skunky back out to the stinky club and try to either pick up another couple or drink a bit and socialize until your wife is done having fun. I guess it depends on where your negative feelings come from - either jealousy that she got the better end of the deal on that one, or the fact that you felt obligated to do something you didn't want to do. Both are normal feelings and equally valid, but have slightly different solutions. In hindsight its easy to analyze and find them, so stick it in your repertoire for next time.
