Were not new to the experiences, but we are definetly new putting any type of label on it. Back when we were in college, we had a couple we played with pretty regularly and a FFM, but all of it happened spontaneously, at least the first time. Since then we've gotten married, and had two children, and now that our youngest is old enough I feel comfortable leaving her overnight with a babysitter (18 months) weve been recently interested in dabbling in some more of that type of fun. Weve actually been (apparently) successful in seeking it out sans club or personals, just through networking, as we are currently talking with another couple we met through random life circumstances. Right now just trying to set up a nice date with no kids in the house for us.... we actually had one already but were effectively cockblocked by Aunt Flo So not exactly new, but not exactly experienced either.

Our first experience was an unplanned, spontaneous instance of same room (tent) sex with another couple on a camping trip back before we were even married, in our college years. We had never discussed anything of the sort before then, so if that counts as "swinging" then there was about 5 minutes between when the idea came up to when we jumped right in! The next morning we all talked about what had happened, and decided we were going to make it more interesting that night, and added a little FF action to the mix, with a little light touching between couples. I had no idea what that was at the time, but after my terminology education from this site, I believe that would be classified as a "soft swap".
