Have to say that it was Swing that triggered our journey into the lifestyle. Until stumbling onto this show Erica and I were both afraid to let each other know about our "lifestyler" tendencies. The show allowed us to become more open with each other about our desire to seek more extreme pleasure experiences. Having said that our favourite episode is the Tehya episode. Her hot pink hair and hyper-sexual attitude was liberating and sexy. It was over that episode that allowed us to begin exploring.

Hi guys...I would like to get everyones take on wha happened with Nikki and Darrell where Garren had sex with Nikki while Darrell had to watch...everyone else cleared out and left them alone...Ive chatted with Holli about this on Facebook via PM and have her view which I will keep to myself...it appeared to me that Nikki had a fantasy about being with a black guy and when Garren showed interest in her, she decided to make it a reality...now Ive only seen short clips but it seemed to me that Nikki and Garren had a private chat about getting together maybe even for a "one on one" and then made a production about asking Darrell permission...it then seemed to me that once things were happening in the room, it had been orchestrated that everyone would leave with only Nikki, Darrell and Garren in the room...when the others left, Nikki shot a look in their direction and was aware that it was not going to be a good experience for Darrell...she could and should have stopped things at that point out of respect for her husband...Garren was determined to get wha he wanted despite his "poetic" ramblings the following morning...Nikki was obviously either non caring or oblivious to the impact on Darrell...who tried to put on a brave face.....ive since read on another board that they split and he has a new wife...i also appreciate that it was Darrell that pushed for them to swing...a perfect example of "be careful what you wish for"...garren in my view, rather than having a duty of care to the newbies...took an arrogant and predatory approach...any thoughts on this?

I felt very uncomfortable watching this episode. My wife and I agreed afterwards that should the vibe EVER approach the one given from this episode for either of us we would immediately tapout. The action in this episode turned both of us off. Fortunately, we found that this type of activity is seen very little in the lifestyle where we're from.

Im not easily upset or shocked but I saw the episode last week and am still very disturbed by it...there is no way it wasnt orchestrated to go down that way...when Garren says "Im going to show Nikki what the lifestyle is all about"...I hardly think abusing the husbands trust in some kind of egomaniacal, cruel and bullying cuckold scene is representative of the lifestyle.

Hey every! Daniel here of Nikki & Daniel from Swing. (let me know if you need some kind of verification.)

(For those who haven't made it all the way through, we appeared on a total of 11 episodes, newbie +10 more, and had an amazing experience throughout. We met some truly incredible people and learned far more than we ever could have imagined.)

 

First, let me start by thanking everyone that had positive thoughts and experiences with the show. Even after everything we've done it's still a bit surreal when we hear other people talk about it. There were definitely highs and lows with every experience so I'll see what I can do to give you guys insight on what we went through pre-production.

 

47 minute episodes start as 48 hours worth of footage. For every sex scene you see, there are at least 3 cameras going to capture the fun. That being said, ALL of the angles that Playboy publishes are going to be the best angles because they want a sexy show. Everybody has a sexy side (and a less than sexy side), regardless of their Shrek & Fiona or Ken & Barbie body types. Capturing sexy angles is 100% the intent of the sexy scenes. Early seasons were trying to pull anyone who was interested in because everyone was apprehensive about the sexy angles thing. As the show developed a bigger pool of former cast, the body types were less important and the personalities received greater attention. It still needed to be sexy, but there's a story that has to shine through the collision of bodies as well.

 

Swing itself is part of the "TV for 2" lineup of programming. The intent of that programming is to get couples to watch together, regardless of whether or not they are interested in swinging. The days of meaningless genital mashing together are disappearing in favor of context, meaning, realism, and the ability of the viewers to relate to the show. Yes, it is a reality show, but it is not intended to showcase drama like prime time/mainstream channels have trained us to expect. If drama happens, EVERYONE hopes there's some kind of peaceful, loving resolution because it's NOT sexy when real emotions cock block everyone. haha

Here's where it gets dicey because there have been a lot of accusations in the past that we're a bunch of porn stars acting for the show. I can confirm that there were people on the show that had done some porn, but they were not hired to be porn stars. 99% if the couples that appeared on the show had no previous experience in porn or on a show exposing themselves like that. All of the relationships are real, not actors. A few have, unfortunately, moved on/separated/divorced. A lot of us are still living semi-boring, day-to-day lives that aren't really affected by our appearance on the show.

 

As far as future episodes... Swing has ended. I know the show creators and executives want to do something swinging related in the future, but there are lots of behind the scenes uncertainties that doesn't allow them to do much production.

 

However, Nikki & I managed to get a new show, titled Toyride. We will have some friends join us, and we'll end up talking about the swinging lifestyle stuff and Swing show quite a bit. So be on the lookout for that.

 

Holy crap, I've gone on this long winded diatribe for no reason. haha. To answer the question: I think my favorite episode would have to be either Al & Sparkle's newbie episode or our own newbie episode.

Overall, my wife and I loved that show and it sparked some good discussions between us. Do any of you know if there are any other shows like this on the air now? Or do you know if this show will be coming back? We miss watching this show!

Good to see a consensus on this...Darrell was a babe in the woods and was trusting...not a bad attribute...but it was well and truly misplaced...Nikki didnt come out smelling like roses...she glanced across as the others left the room and at that pint should have tapped out..Garren had agreed to no one being left out and it was virtually the "one on one" they said they didnt want...but Nikki had her fantasy fulfilled and thats all that mattered to her...despite her lame protestations that she didnt feel fulfilled because Darrell wasnt pleasured...he is now the subject of ridicule on boards all over the place as "the cuck"...not fair and not cool...does anyone know what became of Darrell and Nikki?

We're sitting discussing it again right now. It was an amazing situation because the show Swing is what opened the doors to the lifestyle for us. It allowed us to present our hidden desires to each other in safe manner. Having said that the episode that we have been discussing nearly put a damper on things once we viewed it. I knew immediately that I NEVER wanted to be either of the gentleman roles presented therein. Being a Black gentleman, I receive many requests to be the BBC in alot of fantasy situations and it is very hot. This one seemed kinda dirty and we felt as if Darrell was "raped" somewhat. That is the best and most insightful comment so far...Darrell was symbolically raped...the was malice in Garrens actions...and I have no time for Nikki either...as I say, all the preconditions were forgotten once Garren started on her and you can see that when she saw the other couples leaving, she was fully in charge of her senses and should have tapped out in respect for her husband who was then forced sit by and watch things unfold...you could tell he was gutted but didnt know how to react...he wanted to keep the facade up of being openminded and to express how he felt would have made him seem prudish in his mind...not cool at all

Thanks for the link, but that isn’t the one. Season 1 episode 4 was where something went real bad right in the middle and there was a big fight. This episode was just Darrell being pretty much cucked and in my opinion, got just what he wanted. He made zero attempt to go after other women.

We have watched Playboy Swing episodes and love them. Also, just a suggestion but have you watched Playboy Foursome? We also found that one to be a good one to watch as well. Finally, we use to see Playboy Walk of Shame which we thought was hilarious but we have not been able to find many of those lately.
