Men's thongs...should I buy a few pair of boxers instead?

We'll be attending our first swinger event in the near future. Now the first time we go, we'll have no expectations, other than the hope someone opens up and talks to us and/or accepts us talking to them just to socialize (maybe more).

Now on a daily basis, I wear Joe Boxer thongs. I've been wearing them for 10-15 years. I LOVE them! No wedgies/bunching, holds me firmly in place so my head doesn't get irritated, etc.

Anyway, I've read that men wearing thongs at swinger events can be a little odd if a 6-pack and cherry tomato ass cheeks don't accompany the thong.

But what is reality when it comes to clothes in the first place. Do people walk around fully clothed or naked...or is there some use in wearing undies? What is generally the most attractive...boxers, boxer briefs, etc.?

Ouch! Okay, so that's one for the 'wear boxers' camp.

I actually have a nice pair of more form fitting, silky, black boxers. Maybe I'll just wear those.

But again, do you walk around clothed or naked....or does underwear serve a purpose at these events?

Depends on the venue, clubs have rules about where nudity is OK. M&Gs in public venues frown upon nudity. House parties generally do not if you remain inside or in an enclosed yard. Once the play starts, we'll be naked especially going from room to room to find the next play mate. At the end of the parties, many of us end up standing in the kitchen rehydrating and winding down with all of us naked.

From my observations of the piles of clothes on the floor boxers seems the common choice. When we were anticipating our first party I was really concerned that the FOTL Tighty Whiteys might not be the best. So far no one has had an issue with them but I do think I'm going to have to get a couple of sets of "Going Out" Boxer shorts. Where do men shop for sexy boxer shorts anyway? I wouldn't mind some silk.

In my experience at clubs, guys don't generally stroll around undressed - that is saved for the rooms. There are a few exceptions, especially for the ladies who often wear extremely revealing outfits or who start shedding items while dancing...etc. One club we attend does. Best cock contest from time to time where guys stand behind a curtain and they are exposed from the waist down. As stated previously, anything goes at a house or hotel partly. For both I prefer a pair of black stretchy boxer briefs that show what's there without being gross.

We just started exploring the lifestyle at Thanksgiving and haven't yet made a connection with anybody. But before we took our first visit to a club, my wife STRONGLY "suggested" that I buy some nice boxers. I went to Macy's and now own three pairs ... two with a little horse on them and one from some guy named Tommy!

I wear thongs and jock straps. I wear this type of stuff in more intimate situations.

I'm in pretty good shape and so I think I look pretty good. But regardless, when did women get the sole rights to sexy undergarments. I think this lifestyle requires us to be open and accepting. It's a lifestyle that should allow for all to express themselves without judgement, without fear and without humiliation. The lifestyle should be a beacon of light for acceptance. I have several pair of Tommy John boxers that I wear at ls occasions. I'm not super comfortable being completely naked while milling around post sex and I'll put just that back on.

Hmm...silk...there's an idea. Haven't had a pair of those since I was a teen. Reaching in and feeling...that brings up another question. Is walking around with an erection under boxers frowned upon like it would be at a nudist resort or does no one care?

I have a really high sex drive, great sexual functioning and a full bottle of Viagra (which is just to eliminate my refractory period). Getting/maintaining an erection is not a problem. I was just curious if walking around erect was looked at similarly by swingers as it can be by nudists.
