I got to thinking....do a lot of people "Play" during the holidays or are swinging activities kept to the non-holiday times? Are there certain holidays it is ok to play, and others that are typically taboo to play during?

If you have children and family underfoot for the holidays, it can cramp your play time. Otherwise, the club Xmas and NYE parties are fun and well attended. In our case, we're both off work for two weeks so there has been a definite uptick in our own love life plus, we've had some opportunities with good friends AND we've been invited to a house party tomorrow and another for NYE. We've turned down a couple of invitations as well due to vanilla commitments during the holiday season. So no, in our experience, swinging isn't "taboo" during the holidays.

We hit up a hotel in Arizona with our semi-regular play partners over Thanksgiving week. It was cheap, the hot tubs were almost empty, and the daughter they were visiting thought it was a nice coincidence that we were in town and could have lunch with them, none-the-wiser.

I'm voting "no" on any particular "taboo". Yes, most people are busy dealing with family, but they're also off work and in a good mood.

I've been mulling over a similar question. Our 28th anniversary is coming up in February, and I'm planning a trip to Nashville for the wifey. I'd like to visit the club they have, but I'm not sure an anniversary weekend would be appropriate? She hasn't no, but sometimes she won't if she thinks I really want to do something. I kinda feel like an anniversary should just be a special time for two, but then again, it would be our first club visit, so what's more intimately charging than that?

Most people are pretty booked for the holidays with family activities, but we are going to a house party tomorrow. I would not play with someone else on our anniversary. It seems disrespectful to me.

@1st3way; We'd vote yes. This is coming from a guy who's wife was not only OK to go, she actually suggested that we spend our honeymoon at Desire. You would not believe how much mileage we got out of the line, "you may boink the bride". Feel free to borrow it if you go to the club.

@udsarge The club in Toronto we go to understands that Dec and Xmas is a time for family, so they do 3 weeks of Xmas themed events leading up to Xmas (all are pretty well attended) as well as a NYE option the weekend before NYE for those who have vanilla plans on Mon evening). These are typically well attended as well.

@1st3way4fun If you decide not to go for your anniversary, consider a quick trip up to Niagara Falls ON 1st weekend in February for a Valentine's hotel takeover. Valentines in Niagara. It's awesome! 250-300 couples.

@padoc 'you may boink the bride' has me lmao! Good one! Congrats on finding such an open minded, lifestyle lovin' wife!

“I'm not sure an anniversary weekend would be appropriate?”

Is one’s anniversary appropriate? I’ve had sex with five women on their wedding nights and only three of them were my brides. :EG: And I know another couple who hosted an orgy the night following their nuptials.

During Thanksgiving we spend the week at HEDO II in Jamaica. Christmas eve there is a long running family party that we always go to, but there are a few swingers, extended family members, that are there that all we do is talk to. And we have never swung with

For us family always comes first. If the family wants to get together then that's what happens. If the family has other plans then we look towards our fun friends.

Children, guests, travel, etc. has cut into our group get togethers (three or more), but we still have plenty of twosome quickies.

We tend to get into a more festive mood. For example, we do an annual holiday martini walk; get all dressed up and hit 3 nice hotel bars, have a martini at each, let other men or couples have hugs with me or us, show a lot of cleavage, etc. And there’s the whole misletoe opportunity, let someone else’s hubby who is feeling a bit feisty, even vanilla ones, have an under the mistletoe hug, kiss, grope to spread the Christmas cheer. Its all fun.
