Where To Get Started?

Recommended Posts

We (37/F & 48/M) are looking at slowly joining the LS, but not sure really where to start. I (37/F) used to be in, but always played as a single (was single, wasn't cheating or anything) and met people through chat rooms/friends of friends. I've moved 1400 miles away, so I don't have friends still in the community or anything.

With that said, we're both introverts and just aren't comfortable with the idea of going to a club to meet other likeminded adults. Neither of us have played as part of a couple before & while we're both very into the whole idea, we're overwhelmed by all of the swingers sites & won't even get started on the things seen on CL. (Instantly saw why people here have recommended avoiding it like the plague.)

So yeah, that's where we are & would be so appreciative for input! TIA

Join SLS or SDC. Find a meet and greet or house party and see how it goes. Or meet a couple for vanilla drinks or dinner. You can set up a play date later. Or go to a club with the thought you will play with each other. Someone could approach you.

I would recommend going to a meet and greet at a bar, or restaurant. Network with people you trust that are in the LS to find meet and greets. Good luck.

Join SLS or SDC or whatever site has the most people in your area (top of page on menu bar: Find Swingers). Create a profile, ADD PICTURES (pictures are a must) and start looking. Don't waste time with too many emails and texting, set up a vanilla meeting sooner than later (let them know it is just a meeting with NO play planned...no play = less pressure). You will find out more another couple in 5 minutes in person than 5 years in email and texts (and you find out if they are real and both parties on board). If everyone is in agreement, then you can plan a second meeting that involves play. As you meet more locals, you will find you are in a bigger group and have more connections and chances to find other couples. Simple.

On paper, but there's a bunch of work that goes on in between each step. Good luck!
