Considering a trip to Menages

My wife and I are new to the whole idea of swinging. I never expected her to ever consider this. After much discussion she decided one evening to apply for a membership to menages. I had done research and it seems like this club may be a good fit for us. My question is would this be a good club for a couple with zero experience to check out? I think the first experience is extremely important as it will set her perception of who swingers are and how the swinging world works. Ultimately she would feel comfortable in an upscale and sexy atmosphere, just want to make sure this would be the best choice. We are located in southern Indiana so Nashville is an easy trip along with several other large cities. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Menages was our very first introduction to swinging too, and we selected it for much the same reasons you mentioned. I knew she would be most comfortable somewhere that felt had a nice vibe to it and didn't seem too over the top, skeezy, or aggressive. Menages turned out to be perfect...sexy and high energy but controlled. We used to go fairly regularly, but real life keeps getting in the way so it has been several years now since we've been. I haven't heard anything though lately that would make me think it's still not the best choice in the area for a couple just starting out.

Well, you might, by now, have made your first visit to Menage's. If you like to got out on the dance floor and move to music, you'll love Menage's.

We have been interested too! So I'm reading that you don't expect to play with others the first visit...is that right? We have a child and it'd be difficult to spend a whole weekend or keep going back repeatedly. Is it possible to play with others the first night there? Lol

Anything is possible at Menages. Manages is, in actual fact, no different than your typical swingers' club in regard to what combination of events are likely to lead to a hookup. Or for how likely a hookup might be. Smile a lot and talk to people. That will stack the odds in your favor.

We have yet to make a trip to menages. With having small children it is hard to get away. I love the idea of getting there and going into full swing mode but I actually don't want to, yet. I want to make sure my wife is completely comfortable and on board along the way so the safest way I see is to dip in slowly. We are both nervous and starting slow and putting on a show seems like a good place to start.

Have you had any experience New2swing1? Considering your name, it sounds like we may be both starting out. Just curious if this is your starting point like us.

Haha. Yes. I'm not very creative! We haven't done it yet but it's something my hubby has wanted to do/threesome. So once I found out about menages I brought the idea back up to him. We are still trying to decide on boundaries and stuff. But I really don't want to waste a trip just to mingle and not get physical. Lol. It's not too far of a drive for us but I'd like to not waste it. A staff member st menages said that it is possible to get physical the first time there. You just have to be personable. So we shall see

Just thought of something else. I have heard it suggested and discussed that you can meet up at a club with people you have meet on a swing site like SLS. This may allow you to build up some sexual chemistry before meeting face to face. I would assume this would better your chances of getting it on! Even if things don't click in person you always have everyone else that you can get to know.

Yes, it's a busy club, so possible to play first time there or every time there, it all just depends on how wide your compatibility strike zone is.

One bit of advice though...the surest way to come away disappointed from any swinging evening out, whether it be a club, meeting another couple for drinks, or whatever, is to have strong expectations going into it. My advice is to just go with no other expectation other than having a fun evening out together, then anything that happens beyond that is just icing on the cake.
