I’m just curious on what the general though is on what H/W/P on average would be. Is there a weight limit or is it more of a look scale?

When you see HWP, it doesn't come with measurements. It's code that they think they are fit, sexy, and beautiful people. You can also see that they might label themselves sexy and hot. Their profile name might show they are self described. While it may not apply to all, think about it, if that's their lead, they have a very high opinion of themselves. Some do it to draw attention because they need it, to live every day, others do it because they think sex is attached to body shape...both will probably be shit in bed.

I believe that HWP is simply a synonym for "We're not obese." I've known many an HWP person who was quite fun between the sheets.

H/W/P is somewhat subjective with couples we've met. For us it means that we have some kind of shape (male=shoulders wider than waist, waist more narrow than hips, Hips smaller than shoulder. It also means a belly that doesn't have to be lifted and moved from 1 side to the other to see his dick.) Woman= shoulders that the form can be seen, boobs that are not overshadowed by belly rolls, hips that aren't wider than shoulders and thighs that can open sufficiently to accommodate a H/W/P male). We are just not sexually attracted to obese people and stating that we are, by our admittedly subjective standard, a H/W/P couple and look for the same seems far more kind than posting that we're not sexually interested in BBWs or in men who haven't actually seen their penis since college.

In response to Fullswap, we don't look at ourselves as "fit sexy and beautiful people" although truth be told, to my prejudiced eye, Mrs Doc IS very sexy and beautiful. We both work to stay reasonably fit and attractive by our personal definition and those are the kinds of couples we seek for playmates.

While some may feel differently, I greatly appreciate this level of detail and explanation. Although when googling it, it does give examples with size charts. The more I immerse myself in the culture of swinging the more confident I feel about us meeting other couples and not being so self-conscious about the fact that neither one of us has a 6 pack.

However, as I shared in another thread yesterday, my attraction and connection with another person has less to do with weight/looks and a hell of a lot more to do with whether or not we can have flowing and enjoyable dialogue and chemistry on that social level.

Padoc, you have posted a couple of photos on the board of Mr. Doc and anyone who’s seen those images would totally agree with your assessment of her. She is indeed sexy and beautiful.

IMHO and experience - anyone who feels the need to state that in their profile has issues. We love being with people based on their sex drive. Barbie and Ken can fuck off - they usually turn out to be duds when the clothes come off!

Current photos are usually sufficient to assess body size and proportion. One of our "pet peeves" involves meeting a couple that bears no resemblance to their photos, irrespective of "HWP" claims. Everyone has access to a camera, uploads are easy, and the images can certainly be anonymized. There is difference between putting one's best {your body part here} forward with good lighting and dress, and continuing to feature photos that are 10 years old and 50# lighter. We'll take truth-in-advertising for $1000, Alex...

For me women in the 120 to 130 lbs range, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, firm to athletic body.

That's HWP to me.

That is an interesting chart. Based on it, I still need to drop about 15 pounds (and I agree). For men, it does not seem to take muscular physiques with low body fat into account.

We don’t find anything arrogant about people that list HWP on their profile at all! Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to body types and that is their right. If they are not physically attracted to heavier people then why would they want to play with them? If they put the time into staying healthy why can’t they want the same from the people they are going to be playing with?

On our profiles we do put that we are looking for HWP men and women that are on the curvy side of things, because that is what we are and that is what we are attracted too. Not gym buff bodies or skinny model type women. If it offends people so be it, we are not in the lifestyle to fuck everything that moves, maybe they are, but we are not.

HWP is in the eye of the beholder. I am thinking plenty of people who consider themselves as fit aren’t perfect when the clothes come off.

I know it when I see it. I can afford to drop 20 lbs. I would say I am overweight, but not obese. I can play with an overweight person, but obese tips the scale, so to speak.

We don’t look at ads and had to Google HWP.

I don’t know if I am and those charts you posted are crazy.

I have a question, do both people have to be HWP? “The Perfect Couple”. We have friends where one might have a perfect body and one is a little overweight. I have friends that are so skinny that I hate them. I am betting most men would say they are HWP, they’re not! They are skinny (bitches lol).

I have friends that are a little big and the husbands are what I consider hot. Who decides if they pass the test? I also have a friend who has a body I literally wish I had, her boyfriend is overweight, someone I would say I am not physically attracted to. You know what, he’s a sweetie. He joined in at a party we were at. Talking about taking one for the team, and I’ll say don’t take a book by its cover. I can also say his weight was not an issue. He was fun and I see what my friend enjoys.

You made a few great points. The four way match is tough if one partner is attractive and the other is not. Also, some people may be overweight or otherwise physically not stellar, but they are great sexual partners. I refer older posters to Revenge of the Nerds when the masked nerd did Betty.

Most of our play consists of more than four people (not totally true). The experience I was referring to was at a house party. At these parties I get to act on my bi side something I still laugh about when I write it. In my past life I don’t think I would have been attracted to the big guy, then again I wouldn’t have been attracted sexually to her either. Even telling this event I am ashamed at my bias against him for no reason other than physical size.

We have an unspoken rule at our get togethers, anyone can say No. I didn’t and I am happy I didn’t. Not only for the good sex. He is such a great guy.

Why do you think that the charts are crazy? I'm 5' 10" and keep my weight below 140 pounds, which I think isn't that low. I do it for myself; if I was trying to be attractive in the traditional sense, I'd put on a few pounds to grow my tits and bum.

Well I hate you lol. Just kidding. I fall into the guidelines too because my boobs. If I was larger it would put me outside. My point is a guy could me built athletic and would be considered overweight and a girl can be big on top and boom she’s off the chart. I am hippy but thin. Also I have a flat butt.

That's partially true. Guys who are very muscular will be considered overweight by those charts. However, for large boobs vs small boobs on women, the difference is not so much (at least not the boobs themselves). Going from a C cup to a D cup with an implant, for example, adds a total of about 2 lbs and the saline in an implant is more dense than the fatty tissue in a breast, so you can use that as an approximation. You could get a ballpark estimate for the weight difference to cup size difference from that if a change in cup size adds 2 lbs.

For me it means the female shape is an hourglass.  I consider myself HWP but I got boobs and a booty but I am still skinny in the middle.

Maybe this is just a vent post, and hope that's ok, but as we venture into SLS, I've gotta ask- why do women blatantly lie about their weight??? I'm not saying I can tell you to the pound how much someone weighs, but if you post that you're 180 and you are obviously, clearly not less than like 250, do you think folks won't notice?? I mean I fudged like 7 lbs on my own profile lol, but I'm just baffled as to why someone would do that so significantly (especially when they have posted photos). There are so many people who enjoy beautiful women of all shapes and sizes, I just don't get the deception.

It goes both ways, too- I've actually almost gone right past profiles where she's listed as like 120lbs (mostly because I'm new to this and therefore am a bit self-conscious about at least my first experience being with a woman who is significantly more slender than myself) and then catch site of a pic and realize "oh wow no she's definitely fluffier than 120, yay!" Vent over lol

-sincerely, 172lb woman who's listed as 165 haha

Okay so the question I have here is why do fit healthy people that only want to play with others that take their health seriously always get labeled as snobs by so many people in the lifestyle?

Are they really bad people, because they want to spend time with others that also have the drive and ambition to eat right and exercise? It is not like they are the way they are, because they are born that way! Everyone can be fit and healthy if they want to be. It takes a strong willed person to do what it takes to keep themselves healthy. I don’t see that as a bad quality in a person at all, but it seems many people think it makes them snobs.

We have recently made some big health changes in our lives for ourselves and each other so we can live a long healthy life together and are seeing first hand how much it can improve all aspects of life. Our bodies are changing for the better big time, our energy levels are through the roof and many of our daily chronic pains have all, but disappeared. Neither one of us has ever felt better and there is no turning back. This has made our already great sex life of the charts amazing. Saying that our tastes in others is changing as well. People that care about their health and show it in their appearance are much more appealing to us now and people that clearly don’t just are not our thing. So I guess we must be on our way to snobville and we are okay with that, because honestly our health is way more important then making everyone else happy.

      Hi Julie and Everyone Else!

We're a married couple that has been in the lifestyle maybe going on 3 years now. I have something that has always bothered me regarding my wife and I when we go to swingers parties. My dilemma is that my wife is pretty much an average weight and size but as for myself, I'm like 5'10" 250lbs more on the heavy boned type of a guy. I've always been between 235-250lbs most of my life after 25 yrs old. And I have noticed that every time we go to a swingers party, people be asking my wife to play, but not myself?? And when my wife says we come as a "package deal", they say "see ya" under their breath. So we stand in the corner all night by our selves.

Other people friends have told me not to worry about it, that you'll find the right people that will accept you for the way you are. But being a little heavy still haunts me.

So, I was wondering if anybody else out there in swingers land has the same hang up that I do?????

Any responses would be most appreciated!!

Hi, I am new to this and my husband and I are interested in softswinging and I have a few questions.

I read the ads for swingers in the DFW Texas area, only I am a little nervous about how I look. I would consider myself bbw, only not huge or nothing, anyway, I guess I am a little self-conscience about how I look. Plus I hear about how it is formed thru friendship, only how do you go about finding that friendship?

Are the posts in the ad part of the webpage ok? I am so afraid of meeting some weirdo. Not that they aren't ok, it's just not what I want ya know. With me being new to all of this, I want to step into this slowly, and not be pushed.

Anyway sorry to rattle on, but I would like to find a couple and they be a nice normal couple like us and are ok to softswing and let me go slow at this, plus not mind the way I look. And if it goes farther, then I can decide later.

If anyone could respond I would appreciate it. Everyone in this board has seemed so nice and I felt really comfortable asking. Thanks to All.
