    Default Swinging after breast cancer.

We enjoyed the swinging lifestyle for a couple years, something we both highly enjoyed. Last year I was diagnosed with stage 3c breast cancer, resulting in both breast being removed, Would love to get back into the lifestyle as it was a very exciting part of our life, but very nervous about doing so. Would love to hear from others both that maybe have gone through it, or has a honest opinion as to how it will be accepted.

Haven't been through it, but we ALL have our own scars. Have you undergone reconstruction? Either way, it would not be a deal breakeer for us. We care more about the person and the personality than the scars they carry.

My wife has not had a surgery for removal of a lump or a breast but I do play frequently with a woman who has had both breasts removed. She feels a little self-conscious about her scars so she wears a sort of a corset that is rather like a sports bra so as to cover that part of her upper torso. She tells me that she misses activity like nipple play but enjoys all other aspects of foreplay and "the sex act". And I enjoy playing with her. I nibble on her lower lip and on her neck and see much the same response as I used to see nibbling on nipples. Your mileage might vary.

We haven't encountered this situation yet, but it wouldn't make us any difference at all. Like GoldCoCouple said, we care about the personality and the person, not what it is wrapped in. Since it's a part of your life that you miss, I say go for it and don't look back!

We've known woman who had mastectomies and it was never an issue. Usually at at party they keep a top and bra on but may get completely naked with those that they are they are comfortable with. Just be honest with people and there should be no reason to worry about being accepted.

Beauty is only skin deep but sexiness comes from deep inside (and has nothing to do with beauty). Good luck but we think that you'll be just fine.

I don't want to quibble with you, GolCoCouple, on matters of semantics, but I think you agree that when you said "beauty" you were referring to some theoretical standard that is perpetuated by society, recognized for the symmetry, flawlessness, etc., but isn't the real beauty that comes from within. And that also seems to come from some sort of mysterious life force that draws us in like the Sirens to Odysseus.

Had a visit with step son just last night on a similar topic--he referred to a girl he knew in high school that was "drop-dead gorgeous" but not as totally appealing/compelling/sexy/mesmerizing as another girl who I happened to meet that he went out with briefly. The second girl was cute, pretty, but didn't match the classical standard. However, she had "IT" or whatever you want to call it.

My questions to the experienced, brilliant and ever-so-wise members of this website:
    1. Do you also experience this mysterious attraction? while you're at it, does "IT" apply to both men and women?

    2. When someone strikes you as having "IT" does it also increase the likelihood that they are "f**ked up?" (You probably guessed that it seems that way to us.

There are probably a host of follow-on questions, but those two presented themselves now.

Back to the subject of the OP, the question of whether the result of breast cancer surgery would make a difference to me is not dependent on how you look, it is dependent on who you are.

We think of beauty as physical attractiveness and sexiness as 'that unknown attraction' that radiates from within. We have seen photographs of people who were (for lack of a better way to say it) a 5 in the picture, but when we met them they had 'something' that made them into a 10. Cameras can't photograph confidence, sexiness, personality, or whatever it is. But this is beside the point.

We hope that letsenjoy252 gets back on the bike and goes to the club. We would love to see her there.

We have no experience with it, but the idea of getting "completely naked," of showing all of yourself as you really are, is always a turn on. As another poster said, "we all have scars," we all have imperfections.

My wife had breast cancer surgery about 10 or 11 years ago and that left her affected breast very deformed. She was very self conscious and most recently chose to have both breast surgically balanced. The surgeon was excellent (25+ years experience); she is almost completely healed and looks wonderful. The surgery did NOT include any foreign material inserted and both breast feel very natural. I am so happy for her and proud that she took this step to improve her self image.
