Piercings and tattoos anyone?

Recommended Posts

I'm 41 years old and going into my 2nd childhood. The last few years I have done a lot in changing...appearance and attitude.

One thing that I did was at 40, had some body piercings done. Why...can't tell you, just did it. Anyway, had my belly button done.

I'm not into the radical piercings...eye brows, facial, nose and other noticeable ones. Not into nipple piercing for myself either (paid too darn much for the implants, very happy with the breasts now).

Anyway...what are your views on them?

Rhonda

PS My 18 yr old daughter and my 16 yr old son were both impressed and told their friends...most thought it was cool. However, my 22 yr old daughter (very conservative) was shocked and upset with me

40 must be the magic age in women for entering a second childhood, either that or the hormones are starting to go awry!

Last year I went in to look at having a belly ring done because I thought they looked pretty cool. Thing was I couldn't get past the fear of a needle going through it. Instead I walked out with a very colorful tattoo on the hoo hoo. Go figure that one. 13 needles vs. one....what was I thinking?

As for all the other piercings, I haven't seen the nipple ones up close except for on the web and then I decided no way. From a distance in real life they looked cool, but not close up. The clit piercings I am still at a toss up on that. Never seen one up close and personal. I have though seen the penis piercings and quite frankly they were a turn off to me. There was a guy at a party we went to that satisfied my curiosity by letting me take a good look at it. Personally, I do not care for facial piercings at all. That is a huge turn-off for me.

Oh and a friend of ours just got her belly ring about 3 months ago, she is 54. Late bloomer I suppose.

My kids thought I was nuts for the tattoo and my oldest was downright mortified. The other two got over it and asked to see it. The girls both have belly rings but would never consider a tattoo. (Cowards...)

What's a "hoo hoo," Lori? ...and why on earth did you show it to your kids?

Mrs. Alura has two piercings on her earlobes so she can wear studs and "danglies." I like earrings on ladies.

Well Mr. Alura, a "hoo hoo" is the name my youngest and most spiciest always called her pubic area, so the name kind of stuck. I didn't exactly "show show" it to them. I had Gene take a close up pic and then cropped it down just to show nothing but the Tattoo. So what they saw was essentially a pic and nothing else. It is located just below the bikini line, I was too chicken to get it anywhere else just in case I ever wanted to cover it up. I stay shaved so if I ever decided to unshave then it wouldn't be visible and I could forget I ever went into my second childhood. :)

Personally, I love piercings as long as they aren't in excess. A few well-placed piercings look great (nipples, clit, belly button), but when you start getting into the 2 digit number of piercings I think it starts getting a bit overboard. Same thing with tattoos. I have one and want another one. I think that one or two or even a few well placed ones look nice but I don't really care for people who are totally covered in them.

I thought about a tattoo but said no way. 13 needles vs 1. Happy with what I have. Should also say when I was 21..got my ears pierced for the 2nd time. Then at 30..had them pierced for the 3rd time. I keep diamonds in the top 2 holes and hoops or whatever in the bottom one.

I also have to confess...a did have a clit piecing done (done about a month after the belly). That is the end for me. Happy with what I have and want no more.

Will have to think about what to do when I'm 50.

A couple of years ago I had a belly piercing done. It never was quite right so I took it out. After I spend a little more time toning, I plan on getting it done again. My hubby loved it. I liked it too.

My husband keeps trying to talk me into having my nipples and clit pierced. I might eventually go the nipple piercing, but not my clit. No way.

And I'm considering a tattoo. I agree with you, Julie, about a few well placed tattoos looking good. I don't like the all over tattooed look either. Depending on how much the first one hurts, I might consider a second one on my lower back. I've heard those hurt a lot. But they're so sexy. Hubby thinks my first tattoo should be on my breast or pubic area. Maybe in a few months we'll be able to afford it.

Oh, just so you know, I'm 38. So there must be something about getting to 40. lol No middle life crisis at all. No, nope, not at all.

Tats are great, as long as they're not overdone. A few here or there is fine, but I'm not into the 'all over' look. I think the ones on the small of the back are very sexy. J and I are thinking about getting some done, but we decided on a one year waiting period to be sure and that's only about half over. I'm thinking of a yin-yang, but I don't know where, as I'm very hirsute and don't have a lot of choices. :(

I would love to play with a woman who had nipple or clit piercings, but I don't know why  It just sounds like kinky fun, I guess. I can't imagine myself with any though (ouch!) I know, I know, tats require needles too, but it just doesn't seem like the same thing to me. I'm not really into most facial piercings, but multiple ear piercings are neat, and I think the small jewels some women wear on the sides of their noses are pretty.

Those tat's on the small of the back are some of the most painfull. Believe me I have researched this almost as much as I did before we began to swing. Tat needles are not the same as a piercing. Not at ALL! I will say though for my multi colored tat there were 13 different needles, one for each color. But they use this little gun looking thingie (for lack of appropriate terms) that kinda machine guns it in...(again for lack of better terms). Depending on how fleshy the area is that they inject the dye into is what determines the discomfort. When you have very little flesh...ie, near the bone, the discomfort level is higher. I have a VERY low tolerance for needle pain, (the sight of them alone makes me cringe) but this was a breeze. So go for the tattoo!

As for the nose thingie, given no out and had to make a choice, I'd rather have my privates done and that isn't gonna happen.....

Okay "A".....let me direct you to this topic which pretty much made my mind up about nipple piercing.

OUCH and happy reading. (Don't forget to go to the websites mentioned too.)

Nipple piercing

As for no mid life crisis....yeah right! Welcome aboard Skippy!

I've heard that from experienced friends and that explains why those lower back ones hurt so much. Our friend K had one done on her ankle and said it was quite painful. J's thinking about having one done on her right breast; I'm considering putting one on my upper arm. Lots of flesh for her, but mine's right on bone. But, if I still want it in April, I'm getting it done for my birthday.

I have tossed around the idea of a piercing but that is one of those wishy washy ideas that I can't seem to make up my mind on. If my tummy was flat I would have no problem getting a belly button piercing, I'm envious of those that can show them off.

I have one tattoo on the small of my back. I can't say that it is the most painful area to have a tattoo done, but it did get my attention  . Then again it isn't very tiny either. It is about the size of a VCR cassette. I created the design and am quite happy with the result.

I have my nose done, it is a very small stud and you can't really tell it's there unless I turn the right way. I had my belly button done but after the last baby waited too long to put it back in. I want it done again but have to wait to lose the belly. I have one tat (on my ankle), it is really nice too. I think I want another one but not sure where I want it.

I would really really like to get my hood done but am a little worried about it. I am very multi orgasmic and the slightest touch to my clit and I am cumming. I don't think I could handle walking around having orgasms all day. But then I have heard that it desensitizes some. So who knows.

Hubby has 3 tats, one on the shoulder, one on his bicep, and one on his calf. He has everything but the penis pierced. He doesn't wear them anymore but has had it all done. He wears his nipple every once in a while and his ears.

I have no tattoos or piercings. Always thought about getting a tat done but am just at the point where I'd rather buy a part for my bike or car. In addition to that, I just don't think about it a whole lot. As for the pain....I flipped over a car that did a U-turn in front of me and walked away alive and practically unscratched.

The babes does have two tattoos and three piercings. Ankle and lower back are inked. Her ears and belly button are pierced. She is hot to me with or without her body mods.

Don't really care one way or the other if others are pierced or inked. Tattoos and piercings are cool because they can start a conversation. Tattoos are personal and are ready to be showed off.

Ok, well here we go...

I have 8 tattoos. 2 of which are cover-ups, so I have actually been tattooed 10 times. I also, until recently, had my nose pierced, I have my clitoral hood pierced, and I have had my navel pierced 3 times (it never heals right for me).

Also, R has (ahem) genital piercings and his nipples pierced.

As far as the piercings, we LOVE them. While the male genital piercings may look strange to some, don't knock it until you actually try it...ohhhh yeah.... :D

My clitoral hood piercing is FABULOUS. I love love love it. I miss my nose piercing. I had to take it out since I started working at a "real" law firm. :(

The tattoos? I have one on my lower back, one on each hip, one on each ankle (one of which is an ankle band), let's just say they are in several different spots... I am definitely not "covered" though.

The tattoo on my lower back did hurt. But not as much as the ankle band. The ankle bank was hurt like fire as it went across the achillies tendon. But, damn, it looks SO cool.

In answer to the questions I anticipate getting:

I am 33, but got my first tattoo at 17.

Yes, they hurt, but generally not that badly, and the pain passes pretty quickly, especially with the piercings.

Yes, I get a whole lot of attention from my tattoos, when I am dressed to let them show. And I DO love attention.

Well, last night I did it, to brag just a little.

It didn't really hurt much at all and I'm already considering another someday. J's found a koala she likes and our next visit will be for her. I tried to talk her into doing it with me, but there was the $$$ issue and she also wondered what the kids would think if both their parents came home with tattoos!

I've never seen the appeal in tattoos or piercings. They are honestly the biggest turn-off in the world for either of us. Ear piercings, and maybe a small nose stud, but in general, yecch

Currently I have no piercings or graffiti anywhere on my body. My ears were pierced before I was old enough to make my own decision, I don't ever wear earings. I don't even own one pair.

The last few months though, I've been giving serious thought to the clit piercing idea.

Most of the women I've talked with think it looks very sexy.

Do the guys find clit piercings sexy?

I do not mean the term graffiti in a derogatory way, I've heard it used as slang for tats & I think it is a cute way of expressing body art. Appologies in advance to anyone offended by it. I certainly meant no ill will. Different people use different words.

NO THEY ARE NOT. WHy take something beautiful like a clit and then drive a nail through it? It ruins the whole thing.

Of ocurse, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

jen,

I have had no complaints...NONE :bj: In fact, I think it has enhanced things. They all love it, my husband, the guys and the gals. I actually feel more sensations than before.

To each his own but I love mine.

Mrs Vjk had a hood ornament for a while. She lost the ball when she had to take it off for surgery. She had a ring and replaced it with a bar, but the bar was an awful irritation too her, so she just took it out altogether. It was nice, and we both enjoy playing with hood ornaments with our tongues, so if you like it go for it. And a clit piercing is totally different than a hood piercing, I would not recommend a clit piercing for anyone, but that's for you to decide.

I had the opportunity to get up close and personal w/ a woman that had two rings in her labia. One on each side. It was....interesting. She enjoyed having them pulled very much, but she was very much into pain, a fact I was unaware of until after she almost took a bite out of the side of my leg. OUCH! Anyway, I guess it depends. She also had very fleshy labial lips, which I suppose would facilitate a piercing like that.

I started with a belly ring, which my mother flipped about. Which is interesting as she never either noticed I had by then also gotten a nipple pierced. The belly ring is cute, it adds something a two piece. The nipple ring is what gets guys looking depending on how I wear it, or what I'm not wearing.

I actually have a hood piercing as we could not find anyone in the area to do the clit. My piecer did say...I probably could have had one done as mine was large enough.

I also like my belly piecing. I want to get a bar that has strobe lights for the dances. Just to see if it will turn any eyes. ;)

Hey out there

Just curious who has tattoos, how many and where are they? I wouldn't mind knowing about any piercing as well :D

I myself have no tattoo or piercings other than my ears. Guess I'm just a big wuss

I do have my tattoo designed in my head. When it'll appear on my body is still unknown.

I would also like to get my lips pierced (the vertical smile set). I don't think I'm brave enough to get my hood pieced.

Anyhoo, If one has pics that would be great too.

Just asking

hey, bccpl77, well, let's see here, I myself have one tat on my ankle and have four piercings; both nipples, my tongue and my clit. It was kinda painful but well worth it in the end. My hubby, well, he only his ear pierced and a bunch of tat's: a bulldog, dragon, and ying/yang surrounded by flames. He's too chicken to get anything else pierced

...YET. I have a few in mind, but I'm sure I will never get all the ones I want. The one I especially want is a half moon with stars dangling from it with my kids names in the stars. Well, their initials anyway. The other one I really want is my old Napster name. It has a meaning hidden inside the name (can ya figure it out?)

LadySnowAngel

I'm sure you'll all figure it out if ya think about it. ;)

Stacey's tattoo is a small heart on his left pec. It's half pink, half blue. I think he said he got it while he was in the Philippines while he was in the Navy (I could be wrong about where, though). He doesn't want anymore.

Other than my ears, neither one of us has piercings. I have been toying with the idea of getting my eyebrow pierced, but haven't really done any research into it.

Right now I only have 1 tattoo; it's a gecko climbing up the small of my back. My friend Brian drew it just for me so I could go to my tattoo artist and have it done on my birthday. :)

Thanks for the pic guys :D they look great. Atak, I just love the lettering. You are all making me much braver. Think I might at least get my tattoo for my birthday. Toss up though, lower back or upper arm. I think the lower back is sexier but is it more painful? That's what I've heard anyway.

As for the piercing, hmmmm, may contemplate that one a while. Thanks by the way azwildcat. Hubby says "See it's worth it. Now you have to get it." lol When he gets ballbearing inserted into his shaft then I may consider it  Like that will ever happen. hehe

Take care

Andy has a little devil on his back, a black widow on his hip, and barbed wire and feathers aound his arm.

Maybe I can get him to take some pictures today. ;)

Those are some cool tatts. I have a rose with a small butterfly on my shoulder blade. Want to get one on my lower back of some pansies in purple and yellow with intertwining leaves with the kids name interwoven somehow. I have my belly button pierced along with the hood of my clit (it is well worth it ;) Also have ears pierced a lot.

My hubby has tribal tattoo across top of back, ear pierced and one nipple. He likes the nipple one but sometimes I probably make him think twice that he got it because we get to tickling and rough housing and he gets me pinned and I reach up and twist of course have to give it a kiss to make better and then more fun ensues.

Mr calida and I both have tattoos. He has work on both arms (upper) and one semi-large piece on his left shoulder (dragon coming through the clouds), I have one on my upper arm.

As far as piercing's go, I have my belly button done. I've wanted to get my clit done (I like a little pain, NOT that much). Well just so happens when Mr. calida and I went to the strip bar, there was a girl there who had hers done. So we inquired the all too familiar question - Did it hurt? (we were just a little tipsy). She truly surprised us when she said no. She went to a guy who made her feel comfortable and he only pierced her hood, not the clit. She still has all feeling, now with just a little more. My appointment is for next week...:fun:

Well let's see, I have a tattoo in a very personal area. It is a tribal butterfly. My hubby has 4 tattoos on his arms. Two on each and one on his neck and one on his calf and he has his nipple pierced. I also am getting another tattoo real soon and I want it on my back. I love to see tattoos and the work that these artists do.

Has anyone had it done? How bad did it hurt?

This is to reply to "jrgwife", sorry I don't know many of the nicknames yet" I'm going next week, to have my hood done, those that I've spoken too about piercing the clit(itself) have said that they have had a decrease in feeling, the other half said that just having their hood done increased their feeling, but amounted to no more that hitting your finger with a hammer(although that happens to hurt like hell for a minute or too). And I forgot to post in my original post that I'm having one more tat done, it will be in true gaelic....bittersweet...a word that I fell in love with after watching the movie "Cruel Intentions" the title song is a beautiful song by "The Verve" titled " Bittersweet symphony" . That tat is going to cost me about $350. to $450. It will be worth it. :fun:

I have two - one on ankle (yellow rose) and one on breast (multi-colored butterfly) that I had done WAY before popular for girls to do (and I was way too young when I got my first one - 14).

Breast did not hurt, but ankle was a bit painful. I am thinking of getting a tribal on my lower back.

Hubby has none.

It is funny though when at work and wear a dress. People at work think it is odd that this quiet professional has a tattoo. Hmm, if they only knew...

But location is something to think about if you think you would have issues at work. It has never been a problem for me though.

My ex-husband has a topless lady on his arm. At one place that he used to work, they used to make him put a bandaid over her chest. I always thought that was pretty funny.

Our avatar is a pic of my tat. If you can focus on the center, there is a tribal butterfly in there. It is hard to see in this pic though.
