Your feelings about oral sex with condoms?

Recommended Posts

Same here...there is a level of acceptable risk for us in not using them for oral...some people may feel that is too much risk to accept, and might insist on their use for any sexual activity though.

For some men (self included) there is a risk that using a condom may lead to loss of tumescence in Mr Happy. :EG: also loss of sensitivity.

There is a risk to unprotected oral sex, but the risk is much lower than it is for backback vaginal sex. Frankly, we'd rather not have sex at all than use barriers for oral sex.

I agree that there is a risk to unprotected oral. Can you help me with why the risk might be lower for vaginal? Are there any STD's that you can contract genitally that you can't contract orally? Are the consequences more severe or the treatment more difficult?

This is probobly the biggest issue between Bunny and I in our swinging. She wants protection for oral and I would prefer not. But as we all know how it works, the protection is used until she changes her mind, or the cum catching thing at the end of the condom gags her one time to many:D. I did not say that last, I really didn't. LOL It does take away from the experience for me, but with as oral as I am, it is better than nothing.

I think that's a great question.

Are STD's like Trich passed orally?

Yes, my questions also is: do people really wear condoms for oral sex? For as long as I have been swinging, I have never run into that situation or request either...!!

Can you get HIV or any other disease by receiving oral sex from a girl, and, if so, could you name the diseases please?

Answer

You cannot get HIV from contact with saliva alone, so insertive oral sex (that is a man receiving oral sex) is safe. The only way insertive oral sex could present some risk is if your sex partner had sufficient amounts of blood in her mouth (from recent dental work or other dental problems for example) and your penis came into direct contact with blood. But you?d hopefully notice if your partner had blood in her mouth.

You can get other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) from insertive oral sex. The more common ones include gonorrhea, chlamydia, and non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU). These usually can be treated easily with antibiotics. You may also get syphilis (which usually can be treated easily with antibiotics (if identified early enough) and herpes (which can?t be cured but can be treated). A useful table of STDs and associated risks can be found online. It also contains detailed information about each STD.

If you?re a sexually active young man, you should probably get screened at least once a year for STDs. Many STDs do not have symptoms and can go unnoticed. Talk to your doctor about screening for STDs, or, if you are uncomfortable talking with him or her, you can go to a city or county STD clinic.

The internet says yes...Trich can be passed orally. So can many others -

I've read some conflicting information recently that claims trich can't survive the bacteria in the mouth. {shrug}

A couple of things.....

First, having the guy cum in my mouth is the reason I like giving oral. That's part of MY reward for doing a good job. I'll admit it. I love the sensation and taste. And I've never had a guy complain when I swallowed his semen. :facelick:

Secondly, I hate the taste of condoms. No matter WHAT you put on them to give them flavor.....they still taste awful.

No condoms in my mouth. If I have doubts about the guy I won't go down on him in the first place.

JMO.

Oral unprotected sex can and does spread lots of things, friendship, erotic feelings, enhanced self image, positive physical control, and some tiny bugs as well. If you want a little more protection do what many gays do use an antiseptic mouth wash close to completion. It may not do any good, but you'll feel better.

This is what amazes me. We hear there are a lot of STDs going around. Most swingers don't use condoms for oral and sometimes don't for intercourse. So how come there are so few reported cases of STD's in the swinging community? There seems to be a real disconnect in the two sets of data.

Any thoughts?

Interesting question. My first thought would be that yes there are a lot of STD's going around, but maybe not so much in the swinging world. While there are STD's in the lifestyle, it seems that those in the LS are just more careful and take a proactive approach towards getting tested and choosing their play partners more carefully. In the vanilla world its not always the case.

Also there is a possibility that if a person had an STD in the LS and tired to hide it and was found out it would likely be social suicide as word would spread amongst the swinging circles. And who knows, if a person open admitted to a STD, and was cured if the case allowed, people may shy away from that person or anyone who they have played with.

So not only is it important health wise but also important socially to remain bug free.

In another words more people will know about your STD in the swinging world than in the vanilla world, so it is more likely that one will be more careful in the LS.

That's just one possible perspective....

This issue has been a difficult one for us. We understand that seldom are condoms used or required for oral, even if to completion with cum in mouth and/ or swallow. If oral is performed w/o a condom even to the point of significant arousal and precum production significant risk has occurred. Then why not just bareback the whole way? We continually re-address this and still find it a conflict that is challenging to resolve.

I can't see how a woman can enjoy herself with one.

You would get more pleasure licking the pudding out of those little snack packs.

Fucking diseases suck, but I guess they keep people like me 'in check'

Ok so this may be a bit taboo and yes there are plenty of issues that come with this… but our conversation (and fantasies) revolve around swapping and sex in this fashion.

It might sound silly but is this frowned upon in swinger circles? Would we be blacklisted or is there a place for this?

We wouldn’t be sleeping around and maybe hope to find a regular couple or 2 to have this fun with, but as a general rule what’s the community’s approach to those coming in and looking to have bareback sex?

My wife isn't into oral in general, she'd rather use her hand or feet. Would her not performing oral or no wanting oral on herself an issue for getting into the LS community?

Met a single guy for a date recently. I really liked him. We started to play a little and when I touched his cock I felt a small scab on the shaft and a bump just at the base --not on the penis but like in the area around the base.

I know I should've asked him about it then but I didn't. I diverted the session back into a heavy make out with no other play.

I ask my husband's advice about it upon returning home and he offered up several explanations of what it could be- a mole (he had one removed from that area after all), razor burn irritation, an ingrown hair. The scabbed area on his cock he said could be from jerking off too much/too hard- he admitted to getting those sometimes in his single days when all he had was his hand.

I am not trying to make excuses for him but just really trying to look at both sides. It could be HPV or herpes (I dont think so though-- the bump was rather large for herpes I think--and not clustered). I'm more concerned about HPV but I wouldn't say the area was flat either- it felt like a raised bump- like how an ingrown hair or mole might feel.

It doesn't make sense to me that he'd expose his cock to me with a raging infection of some sort but obviously, I'm not about to take that chance. He also offered zero explanation for it at the time which makes me wonder. I also did not ask him about it though.

Since we were in a parked car, I did not see it at all. I only felt it long enough for my hand to glide down the shaft of his cock.

I'm scared to offend him. I know I need to bring it up to him (I will not play with him without answers) and I know he deserves the chance to explain it to me. After all, it may be completely harmless but I know it's my right to ask these questions and get answers.

Such a sensitive topic. I know that being direct and honest is the best way to deal with this but thought I'd ask others advice before bringing it up to him.

So guys, how would you like to be approached in this situation?

Ladies, have you found yourself in a similar situation? What a did you do?

I thought about sending him an email - I realize that's somewhat of a cop out but that way it gives me time to write out what I want and then gives him time to process it and decide how to respond.

Advice? Comments? Suggestions? All are appreciated.

      Hey guys,

We're new to this whole swinging thing and haven't gotten started yet. The one thing that really bugs me is safety! Obviously condoms for intercourse are a given.

I read an article the other day about how rampant mouth/throat cancer has become because of HPV transmitted through oral sex.

Oral sex with condoms is just about worse than no oral sex at all!

Don't know what to do... how do you all handle safety?!

      Thanks!
