njbm 2,727 Posted September 30, 2016 We are thinking of hosting a house party. We were going to use our living room and basement as play rooms. What do people use as beds? Air mattresses? Sheets? Blankets? Advice welcome! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
junkyard38 21 Posted September 30, 2016 We generally use blankets on the floor, beds that are in place with plastic sheets, then for staying over guest we use queen size air mattresses/ blankets. Quote Share this post Link to post
GuyInMD79 1,500 Posted September 30, 2016 A friend who hosts our favorite house party uses an air mattress, a kind of gym mat, and a massage table, as well as a couple of beds. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
econobiker 164 Posted September 30, 2016 Our host couple used to cover their beds with one sided vinyl matress protector covers on top of the regular sheets then a generic white stretch sheet on top of the vinyl cover. Then after /as the party wound down the white sheets and vinyl covers would be peeled off and thrown in the laundry basket so that regular sleeping could take place on the beds. There ended up being a progression of which rooms would shut down from swinging and change to sleeping first to last. This way people could keep playing even as the party wound down and there were less people. The hosts also had an old cheap thin futon matress used the same way that they would roll up and keep in storage but would use on the floor of their office room that didn't have a bed in it. Your invitation email might mention to bring sleeping bags and blankets, pillows even their own airbed matress if someone wants to definitely plan to sleep over. Otherwise some folks would sleep on couches, in recliner easy chairs, and on carpeted floors with blankets, quilts, throw pillows that the hosts had on hand especially if the folks had imbibed particularly heavy with adult beverages. After one party, we even had a couple who had hooked up during the party retire to the house's game/rec room to use sleeping bags and pillows to make a sleeping pallet -underneath- the pool table (again on a carpeted floor) and continue banging away into the late night before sleeping over together into the morning. SW_PA_Couple 4,019 Posted October 1, 2016 From reading these replies, I feel fortunate that we have three bedrooms. Each bed has an aborbant pad the we obtained from Levin Furnature. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
