So Friday night we went to one of our regular haunts.

Funnily enough we just had a discussion about the safety of the Club and how nothing 'weird' happens there (OK, I guess it depends on how you use the term weird).

So we were upstairs and heard a LOT of arguing going on, and when I mean a lot I mean more than four voices screaming at the top of their lungs. We were kinda cut of with all the people milling around the argument in getting out of the area. Soon a bouncer and some guy came wrestling out of there, with a few people trying to attack the guy the bouncer was trying to subdue. What a mess. Well he took off down a hall with people spilling out of there and going down what ever free route they could find to safety. They guy being chased by the bouncer slammed another guy into the wall while trying to get where he was going. People were scrambling around half dressed.

So the aftermath that we saw was a guy with a black eye, a girl that got a bloody nose and a few other incidental injuries.

We heard the argument started over too many people 'trying' to use one bed? Still really have no idea.

Was there more the party management could have and should have done in handling the situation, I think so. It was pretty apparent nobody had any experience with anything like it.

Just putting this out there so people are aware, it can and does happen.

Up until recently we also were talking about how lucky we have been never to have really seen any fighting in the club. Well, just after the conversation within a month or so we have witnessed about 4 fights. We always worry about how vulnerable all us naked people are! There is security but I always worry about the combination of jealousy, steroids and alcohol!

I am always surprised that nobody ever considers what could happen. For the most part people are so much kinder and more considerate in swing clubs than in the vanilla world but iti only takes one crazy...

One crazy, some female skin, several cups of alcohol, a dash of testosterone and you would really think that you have a sure fire recipe for disaster. Either it just shows that swingers are classier, more in control, or can behave better than the average 'vanilla' person can. Surprising that it doesn't happen more often...

I would like to ask you guys that have been going to clubs for 5 to 10 years, has there been a change in clientele? It seems a few years ago, the fact that we were swinging was very rare, hidden, kinda shamed. Now we feel vanilla in what we used to see as porn like. My point I guess is, as the popularity increases, I doubt if the number of clubs increase. I would think that 10 years ago, a bed wouldn't get overcrowded simply due to the people swinging were never wanting to make a scene, always polite, no conflict.

Most would agree that in any group over 4 or 5, there is an asshole. We are used to it, it's always there. An asshole can easily survive and thrive in the LS because it's an environment where this behavior HAS to be subdued. Until he comes in contact with another asshole. Literally sometimes if they happen to both be nosing in on limited play space. So a nudge becomes a push to a shove, and so on.

Correct me if I'm off base. This is simply a perception on my part based on nothing. It just seems to me that places we used to go that had a certain type of people, now are more...diverse. At some point, everything became OK.

Just to clarify, I am sorry if it wasn't clear. The issue is not that there isn't plenty of bed space, more like guys that are watching that get too close and don't back off when asked.

So it kinda euphemistically get's called an argument over bed space, I think, I must admit I am pretty unsure as well.

In regards to this becoming more popular I welcome it "with open arm and open legs" bit of a Peter Townsend quote there. There is plenty of room for everyone.

Absolutely. We think that since swinging has become legal in some areas the "true swingers" have become harder to find. It used to be that if you were going to take the risk of getting arrested, you were in a swing club to play. Today swing clubs are trendy so everyone comes to check it out. The good and the bad. We are all for more swingers but unfortunately many of these new people are not. They have discovered how inexpensive a night in a swing club is compared with just about any other night out on the town: with dinner, dancing, bed (if you like) and breakfast complete with BYOB it's the best deal in town!

We've had that issue before and it becomes uncomfortable. When it happens, we just get dressed and walk away.

I personally think that there are two contributing factors:

1. Smart phone use allowing everyone to learn about swinging without worrying that their children will see a website on the family computer.

2. Millennials are now coming into their mid 30s so that wave of a larger volume of people is getting into the prime swinging ages having been married 5-10 years already, etc. combined with #1 above. These are also the same people who've only ever been adults with internet porn readily accessible
