Swinging In New Years Eve!! Tell us your Hot New Years Plans.

So right about now in the holiday cycle I start to feel a bit too vanilla and start plotting a bit of decadence for New Years Eve.

Frankly we were pretty overwhelmed so really didn't do any research and just decided to go back to one of our usual clubs here in the Chicagoland area, Couple's Choice for New Years! Luckily this year we are meeting some friends to create new memories with.

Anybody else got hot New Years Eve plans at a big swing party? What are your favorites for this year and years past?

We gave up on New Year's Eve swinger parties at clubs and hotel takeovers a while ago. You've probably heard the characterization "amateur night" as a reference to drink driving for people not practiced in the art of drink driving. Well, something similar happens for swing parties. The wannabes, rubberneckers, gawkers, and other swing amateurs flood the clubs on NYE.

Yeah that was our experience too, that's why we stacked the deck so to speak with meeting friends there. I have spent way to many New Years at home so that for us is no longer an option, but I am glad you confirmed our suspicions.

Sadly for the third time in our 14 years of the LS we will not be attending the many parties we have been invited to.

The first one I was home sick and she was offered the chance to attend with a hall pass in hand but said she would rather suffer with me than have fun without me. The second one we missed going out because we went to the Rose Bowl and the other 2 couples Flaked out on us.

This year we are having a staycation and planned on having a party on the strip. Had to cancel because of an unforeseen incident with the family who were hosting our little one. So we will enjoy all the Vanilla on the Strip.

Red and I are child-free (our teenage spawn are with an ex-spouse) this new years. Even given this, for the first time in 10 years, we're not having a party to help co-host because of our party's host couple getting a divorce (unrelated to any swinging activities).

And then we've also have got a relative, who has moved here for work, temporarily living with us. A little difficult to describe where we'd be going to duck out for any New Years swing partying for an overnight. This relative, while open minded in some respects, is NOT someone who we'd want along with us at all!

Sigh.....will home watching TV.

I love, love, love the Bahamas. It is absolutely my favorite Carribean destination. I am thinking of buying in down there.
