As you may know, the website Ashley Madison was hacked and some private information was leaked to the Internet. What's not been widely reported is that the owners of Ashley Madison also own Swappernet, and that the Swappernet "user table" was also leaked to the Internet
It appears the Swappernet kept user passwords in 'plaintext' (unencrypted) form and that those passwords were leaked. Presumably user e-mail addresses may have been leaked, too. If you used the same password on other websites, it might be a good idea to change it.
On the other hand, maybe Avid Life Media is taking this opportunity to dump Swappernet users?
