Swinging while pregnant - yes or no?

Recommended Posts

What do you all think about swinging while you are pregnant? I'm 5 months pregnant, hubby wants me to go to the swingers club with him Wednesday night.

We only played once when Mrs. Alura was pregnant. It was with a long-time friend and his wife. There was no danger of harming the baby with STDs and our friend, who had never had sex with a pregnant woman, was able to answer a question that had been in his mind for ages.

Mrs. Alura was about six months along and was starting to feel unattractive to other men. Our friend put that fear to rest! :)

His wife was a lovely black lady and a treat to play with.

All four enjoyed it very much and we've never regretted the evening. The four of us are still friends although they are divorced (Not related to swinging.) and live far apart.

If I was in your shoes - I think I would be extremely careful about swinging when you are pregnant - full swap at least. Go to the club and have a great time. You could use this pre-pregnancy time to explore the swinging world. If you do decide to play, I would only do soft swap. There are too many risks (STD's) that could effect your unborn baby if you had intercourse with someone else. But a little soft swap wouldn't hurt, I think. And many men think a pregnant woman is so sexy :)

By the way - Congrats on your pregnancy :D Gosh - I love babies.....

I am 6 months pregnant and we have put a hold on our swinging until after the baby comes. I understand what people are saying about the risk of STD's, but you ALWAYS run that risk- that's why it's so important to be careful- pregnant or not! The reason we have not gone to a club since our good news is b/c I don't feel completely comfortable with my new, changing body. My husband thinks it's sexy and we have continued our sex life in a private way... which is good, too! I don't think it's necessarily bad to go out and swing while pregnant.... to each his/her own, especially if you feel comfortable with it- that is what matters the most! It has to be an individual and couple decision. There are many men (& women) who find pregnancy sexy and a turn on. I know that for us, now, our fantasies keep living on and we talk about it constantly (how we can't wait to go out and explore more after the new arrival). Good luck! Congratulations!

I would wait. You would never be able to live with yourself if you miscarried due to STD or anything else. There are many things that can cause a woman to abort the fetus. I would say, limit who and what touches you until the baby comes. I lost a child at 5 1/2 months. The doctors never could find out why but it was an infection that reached the placenta. sp?

Trust me. You never want to go through that.

Dito Swinging to us is just an extra activity that Spoo and I enjoy together it is not our entire life. Some things about "us" are and will always be special and private and always come before swinging. You can always swing, drink, smoke, party...whatever, but at various times there are somethings more important then fun and vices to enjoy. On of those things that are tops on our list are anything with family. Pregnancy is a special time for both of you and you should be protecting your health, and the baby's health and enjoying the stages together.

To us there is nothing that we do or enjoy that can't be given up for however long it is needed.

Just my 2 cents worth but I'd wait...you can always swing later but you can't fix something that harms your baby.

I too would wait. I couldn't have imagined swinging while I was pregnant. Oh wait, I wasn't allowed to have sex but that's a whole other story all together.

My opinion though is that there are just too many risks involved.

Ditto...some good advice here but then again you are an adult. Do you want to swing while pregnant? Does your husband want you to do this? Or does he simply want to go to the club to be around others of a like mind for company but not playing?
