  1. I've been lurking on this thread, but had to add support for LJ here: As a fellow recipient of stalking, I know how frustrating it is not to be able to do anything about a stalker. LJ's right, unless they physically harm you - you pretty much have no way to file a restraining order, sometimes even with written proof. I live in CA, which is one of the most progressive states in the Union, and I still couldn't get a retraining order even with batches of letters sent to me, pictures taken by friends, and verbal testimony from witnesses. I had to move 100 miles away to be rid of him and not be constantly looking over my shoulder... Unfortunately I have no advice to add, LJ, other than giving you my support and hoping you decide to pursue legal action. It may be a hard road, but I hope you're successful.
  2. Ok, have to weigh in here (no pun intended) with my thoughts. I am a size 14 namely due to my hips - waist is small but the hips are like a cruise ship. Give that the average size of a woman is a 14 and over half the population is such, I can't really justify being "obese". A dear friend of mine, who loves my breast and squishy-ness, calls me soft and curvy. That I like. I try to carry myself well and wear flatering clothes, so most people have no idea what size I am unless I tell them, and like Evil MJ, I have a heavy bone structure that makes my weight heavier than my dress size. IMO, BBW winds up being a euphamism for "overweight" because it sounds better than hefty or obese. I say call yourself a beautiful curvy woman and be done with it.
