I hear the emotional side of it and think there is a bunch of great advice on this thread. If you decide to try it, maybe consider a situation where nothing more than kissing is allowed. Or choose whatever threshold you are comfortable with, knowing that there is an entire world of group play exploration before intercourse, and it may be way more emotionally comfortable as well.

We're in a similar boat, with the whole going slowly aspect. We've had some really good luck getting into some soft swap situations that we've had a great time. Not sure if full swap is really for us, but the couple soft swaps we've had were a blast! Good luck!

We are very similar to you, haven't crossed over to full swapping, but have had a lot of fun with the few soft swap experiences we've had. Best one was in Vegas (go figure). We were approached by a couple with a card game called Intimate Combinations that starts with just some group play type kissing stuff and builds all the way to some pretty crazy full swap stuff. While we only looked at those cards afterwards, there were a bunch of wild soft swap cards that we had a LOT of fun with. It wouldn't surprise me if we eventually get into some full swap, but we've had a ton of fun playing with other couples.
