  1. While the thread now seems a little dated, there may still be couples looking for information comparing Desire to a Lifestyle Takeover cruise. We were on the April 2011 cruise that Chicup reviewed in the link above. The review is spot on. In addition to the music, good and bad, we also disliked all of the banners that were tied to the second deck railing around the pool. Since chairs are a premium on a cruise like this, sitting behind a banner is like sitting behind the lady with the big hat in a movie - can't see a thing going on. We have been to Desire prior to doing the cruise and at the time we commented how great it would be to have a Desire environment on a ship and then we found the Lifestyle cruises. We have booked another week at Desire as well as another cruise coming up in 2013. We liked the venue of both. I guess the main difference is that a ship of this size will have a much larger gathering of like minded folks than any week at Desire.
  2. Thanks to everyone for their positive and supportive input. It supports the few comments I had heard prior to posting this inquiry. We will make our decision next week but at this point, I don't see any reason we would say no and miss one of the few opportunities to enjoy the kind of fun a cruise like this can provide. Part of the fun is shopping for some special outfits. We did that for our trip to Desire and found it to be a very nice buildup to the actual trip Will keep following this for other input and suggestions.
  3. Thanks for the feedback. We did not want to intrude but would sure look forward to the fun. And who knows, we just might learn something! Always love to make new friends. Like most other people, we have two sets of friends, those that have no idea we like to do this kind of fun, and those that are in a small group that we can be more open with. Really looking forward to it!
  4. It is a complete cruise ship takeover so around 1000 couples expected. Several decks are sold out already.
  5. My wife and I would love to take a cruise being billed as a Lifestyle Takeover cruise. We have been to Desire, loved it, and thought the idea of something similar on a cruise would be great. Here's the question though: while we are not swingers, we loved Desire and had a great time in an adult themed atmosphere. We were asked several times while at Desire if we played or shared and we said no. We did not lead anyone on and know that is rude to begin with. I've talked with a few other couples in the lifestyle and asked them if they thought we would be out of place to go on the cruise. They said all types of people go on this kind of venue and we should go and enjoy. Before we book, I am looking for more input. Would we be out of place if we don't swing? We will not lead anyone on and waste their time. But we do enjoy making friends and are outgoing. And we really enjoy the clothing optional, sexy clothes, and theme party atmosphere this presents. Your input please
