  1. Should go without saying that we don't want to have anything to do with people who presume to know us well enough to dismiss us (those 'experienced' people). Problem is, that we don't think like that and have/will again end up socalizing with the exact people who choose to dismiss us out of hand, without even bothering to spend a handfull of minutes talking to us. In the end, it's just a Huge black eye on the whole community.... so thanks for that, those of us who don't give a rats ass about 'experience', and DO care about personality, really appreciate all the negativity you bring to the table (yes, Sarcasim is turned way up). I can believe what's being said (the other topic like this and others that seem to be "I do X, so I'm holier than thou doing Y"), but it just pisses me off and is a major reason we're still considered newbies as it's an overwhelming prevelant attitude.
  2. Add another couple who ride... though we're more of a "pretty much anything but a Harley" people, for one reason only.. can't afford the bloody things. You could say we're Cheap riders, most of the bikes I/we've owned were bought for under $1000 (hey, it's what's affordable ~ we don't finance toys). Anyway, I've been a rider since before my wife got her Drivers license and managed to give her the courage/encouragement and direction to get her endorsement about 6 years ago. I even went for 8 years where a motorcycle was my only means of transportation (an '87 Honda VFR700), took it from 12k miles to 107k miles in that time. I've roadraced and am even a factory certified mechanic for HD, Suzuki and Yamaha. If only swinging were as easy as any/everything motorcycles are for me. And there's only 1 real 'break' I see with motorcycle riders.. you have the Riders ~ who are out there for show, to try and project an image, like to bash everyone other than people on the same bike/style as themselves, and turn Maybe a tousand or two miles a year ~ and you have the Motorcyclists, who don't care WHAT bike you're on, just that you are on a bike. They ride in all kinds of weather, try to find the common ground with other rides and tend not to bash people. The Riders I can do without, the Motorcyclists are the people I activly seek to share my time with. Brian
  3. Wow... I've taken this test a handful of times over the last ~15 years or so and Always come up INTJ. I'd done a little reasearch every now and then only to learn I was an odd fish and not like the rest of the people around me (well, d'uh?). Now I find that it's THE most common result in this poll... that blows my mind. Granted, it's a Tiny cross section (29 people), and I doubt it's Truely indicitive of the whole swinging culture... but perhaps this site is someplace that'll hold my attention for more than just a short time. Wooohooo!
