Music and Sex

Recommended Posts

My first question to you would be what song do you think represents SEX the best. I'll give you an example of a couple songs that have been discussed among friends:

Salt N Peppa - Sexy Noises

Led Zepplin - Whole lotta love (I just dont get that one)

Peter Gabriel - Shock the monkey

So, what song do you think just oozes sex?

Thanks for letting an old tired post drag on!

Oohhh, I LOVED Strokin!

If you do like Nickelback and don't have their new CD, trust me when I say you can listen to the entire thing and have some pretty hot sex! They have Something in Your Mouth, SEX,.... But the slow songs are really amazing too, and have so much intensity that it breaks up the fast songs to just have that moment...

Another favorite of mine is "Lay your body down" by Poison.

Shouldn't somebody flame CXXC? I feel the urge to because I can't think of a single song that nobody else has come up with...:EG:

I will be interested to see how the list goes and then consider the collection for my iPod...and, if by some chance I come up with anything I'll post again.

ACK!! Let me get my fire suit on first! Goodness!

Have you ever gone to a club or a party where the music was spotty at best? We have. One minute they are playing a really great song and the next some crap that nearly forces everyone out of the room. I want to avoid this at all costs. If I am to be flamed for the question that stumps you in my quest, FIRE away!

I just want to thank everyone for your ideas. I'm thinking of calling the mix, "Things that go bump and grind in the night!"

The only partner I have had who always wanted music on while we were making love wanted the Verdi Requiem or the Rachmaninov Vespers or Rach 3rd piano concerto. That may seem a bit odd to some readers of this forum, but if they knew this woman, they would have happily honored ANY request she made. It happens that those pieces are also among my favorites, it was hardly a sacrifice to have that music on during lovemaking.

Crazy Bitch by Buck Cherry for the wild people out there,it's one of those songs that easily grow on those who like hard rock and it has a rythym that's easy to move to in any position

Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer"

Tangerine Dream's "Exit"

Art of Noise "Moments in Love"

David Holmes "69 Police" (used in "Ocean's 11")

This one will sound strange, but anything by Glenn Miller. It makes me think of all those soldiers and fly boys having a night of passion with local girls they'd just met at a USO dance on their last night before shipping out.

Kari's favorite is "I Like Boys" by Missing Persons. Says she can't hear it without getting wet. Ironically, she had her first lesbian experience to that one.

For some really explicit stuff, go to iTunes and check out the band "Cherry Bikini." Their songs have titles like "Fuck Me Again," "Sixty-Nine," etc.

I once had some really awesome sex to traditional Muslim music from Pakistan. Blew my mind, very unexpectedly. I am sure the guy was singing about devotion to Mohammed or something, but the music seemed very hedonistic.

From a guy who recently had sex to "Waffles" by MrWeebl playing in the background, the song that I am nominating is "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails. Tragically cliche, I know, but it works for me.

You can always spice it up a bit...here's Richard Cheese's lounge cover of "Closer". It's worth the time, trust me.

Well, I'm about to get obscure on all your asses, but this is great stuff:

"Dressed Up in Smoke" by Deadboy and the Elephantmen

"In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" - Neutral Milk Hotel

Take the time to check these out, despite the seeming strangeness...you won't regret it.

I followed the links and found out that the band above has a song called "Dog Headed Whore". I am adding that to my arsenal of exceptional insults!

And I love obscure music. You post it and I will absolutely give it a listen. It's how I roll, yo.

OMG!

I forgot one essential song!

"Pure Morning" by Placebo

Some of the best lyrics of all time:

A friend in need's a friend indeed

A friend with weed is better

A friend with breasts and all the rest

A friend who's dressed in leather

And, by the way, that super sexy avatar right up there is the cover of the Placebo album "Sleeping with Ghosts".

How could I forget "Crash Into Me" by DMB. I'm slipping in my old age. :(

Enjoy!

The Lemon Song - Led Zeppelin

Don't Know Why - Norah Jones

For plain old "I like to have sex to this music" music, I can always go back to Enigma. My marriage to Natasha was consummated to the echoes of their album A posteriori.

I'm feeling in the R&B mood today, so I say

Gett Off - Prince

I'll Make Love To You - Boyz II Men

Maybe it doesn't ooze sex, but when Mrs. and I hear "Jessie's Girl" we always giggle. Yesterday that came over Pandora just after "Pour Some Sugar On Me", which has the line that my wife just loves--- "Do you take sugar one lump or two?" :)

Another favorite (when I'm wearing my Rock N Roll hat)... Buckcherry - "Crazy Bitch"

Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Always been one of my favorites and was my signature dance song when I was a go-go dancer at an 80's dance club several years ago. (ah, the good old days!)

Slave to Love by Lords of Acid (for kinky BDSM scenes)

Adore by Prince (for those romantic, slow, love making nights)

We play Closer a lot. There's always lots of moaning when this comes on.

"More Human than Human (Meet Bambi in the King's Harem Mix)" - White Zombie. Basically anything off their Supersexy Swingin' Sounds album.

Pussy Control by Prince

Most anything from the film The Hangover Soundtrack.

- Take It Off by The Donnas

- Usher - Yeah

Okay, I am going to go REALLY old school. I love a wide range of music depending on what I am doing and my mood.

Good classical music, like Vivaldi is great for sex.

Not to mellow as to be romantic, or to up tempo to feel like a race or cliche like 1812 Ov or Boléro. Just a nice steady tempo that does not impose itself during sex.

Link to post

Zumanity is an obvious addition - why didn't I think of that! You're a genius.

I've been meaning to add Bolero too. I also like the beginning to Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet". Well, I like all of it, but it's mainly the beginning section that is very throbbing and sexy.

We watched "Easy A" last night and there was a good one on there too - "Sexy Silk" by Jessica Cornish.

If you don't know about grooveshark dot com you should check it out. It's a site where you can listen to just about any song for free. I don't think you can download them, but at least you can check it out before you go buy it on iTunes or Amazon.

In another post, a member mentioned music as part of the experience.

Frankly, I'm still stuck in the 60' and 70's music wise.

Anyone have recommendations for old or new music that has a sexy tone or beat that gets them going? I'm looking for energy more than soft candlelight music if that makes sense.

For me, no.  I find it distracting.

Okay, I'm thinking about putting together a CD of "Swinger Dance Music", something to get everybody in the mood. I saw this thread, but I'm looking for something more upbeat and energetic then "mood music"!

Something like anything by E-Rotic, Khia's My Neck, My Back (Like It), or La Rissa's I do both Jay and Jane.

      Any other suggestions?

Ok I just found this album (A Burlesque Tribute to Christina Aguilera) and couldn't help but buy it. I have seen the other posts concerning music and sex, but I would like to see your list of stripping music. What kind of beat do you need to take it off?

ps; For couples, please post your gender up front. Some people might be confused as to why the male half is stripping to Lady Marmalade.

After several months off, we decided we wanted to hit the local club scene again. We felt like we'd gotten into a rut at our regular club, so we decided to change things up and try the other local club.

      Disaster.

Despite being advertised as a "cheap night" the cover price was huge. There was a very small crowd. The music was so loud that it was impossible to hear myself speak, much less listen to anyone's replies, making introducing ourselves to people impossible. The music was also horrible and it took the DJ over an hour to get to our requests (which were the only requests he had, so it's not like there was a huge line of other people's requests ahead of ours) and even when he did, he couldn't find half of them and kept switching back to the horrible stuff he was playing instead. So, we could barely dance. We couldn't talk to anyone and we certainly didn't hook up with anyone. To cap the night off, I ended up taking a wrong turn and, though a misunderstanding of this club's protocol, interrupting another couple in mid action... my bad and majorly embarrassing. They were pretty pissed about it, and in retrospect I don't blame them, but it was an honest mistake on my part. I felt horrible about it.

Needless to say, we called it an evening, left, and with my wife's complete agreement, tore up our membership card (only had a month left on it anyway).

What really sucks is, all of my lifestyle friends go to this club and post endlessly about what a great time they have and how fun it is. Yet somehow, they are never there when we manage to go and our three experiences at the place have been universally horrible.

      I'm done with it.
