(Posted with apologies for having an undergraduate degree in Sociology) Here’s the question. Does your “edge of the envelope” hunger end at your sexual expression or is it manifest in other areas of your life? Any adrenaline addicts? Skydivers? Is there a customized Corvette in your garage? My hypothesis would be that there would be a disproportional number of people in the lifestyle who also seek hyper-excitement in other spheres of their lives. (for the record, I’m guilty of skydiving, motorcycles, the Vette, ad infinitium) Cheers John |

Ummm, I've been skydiving and whitewater rafting. If I could afford a motorcycle, I'd have one. I'd love to race cars. No, doesn't follow over to other areas of life, not at all. DragonsLair He is T. I am A. |

My dad was a skydiver. I ride a crotch rocket motorcycle that does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, I'm into kite boarding, aggressive rollerblading, and I'm a volunteer EMT specifically because I love the excitement. I drive a tiny convertible with a 250 hp engine when I need to take it easy. My favorite drugs are the ones that give me dopamine and adrenaline rushes. Yes, I'm an excitement junkie. I never really made the connection between that and my love of being slathered in strippers and having group sex until you mentioned it. |

Okay, Lakota... With Native American ancestry, I want to know about your nickname. I'm not an "envelope pusher." Who would do that? To prove my point, I'd like to point out that I only have two motorcycles and some Porsches. See? There isn't a Corvette or even a desire for one. Although I've parakited, I've never skydived. Who would jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Well, there was that time I tried bull riding, but I don't even own a horse now! See, I'm just a run-of-the-mill guy! But Mrs. Alura, well... Only TWO motorcyles and "some" Porches? How do you maintain a heart-rate...he he he. (For the record, one more tax bracket and i'd be driving a Boxster instead of my Vette). I had a wonderful time working in New Mexico (when the Navy had its weapons lab there). One of my closest friends was a Navajo artist who called me "Lakota" (my understanding was that it meant "friend") I'm actually of Norwegian descent (big, blue-eyed Viking-looking guy). I originally wanted "Loki" as a handle (the Norse god of mischief) but it was taken Cheers John |

It's an interesting question, but yes, I love fast cars. Of course, now with 2 kids I can't afford one, and anyway, now that I'm older I don't drive so crazy anymore But someday I'm going to save up enough cash to spend a long weekend at one of those racing schools. Maybe show those youngsters a thing or two -B |

Racing schools kick ass. During the glorious tech boom my friends and I all picked up hot cars, what's even more fun than racing schools is renting a drag strip and drag racing against each other. Skip the Boxster though, wimpy wimpy wimpy. You won't be happy after having that much torque in your Vette. Take a look at the BMW M Roadster if you want a German roadster, mucho torque, very powerful, great value. I seriously never made any connection between my suicidal tendencies and swinging. Now I'm starting to wonder. |

It is an interesting thought exercise, “edge of the envelope tendencies” . I’ve got 425 skydives, more time underwater in scuba-gear than I can count, motorcycles, swinging……..suicidal tendencies? Perhaps, but what a glorious way to go. Man, I could go for having a track to myself!!!!!! I seriously believe that if you assemble any group of people on top of a tall building, a small number of them will “instinctively” be drawn to peer over the edge. I’m one of those |

I was stationed in New Mexico In the early 80's it's a neat place. I am not a adrenaline junkie so I guess that just makes me a perv then . |

Santa Fe, NM is beautifal. I especially like the Adobe architecture. Im an adrenaline junkie. Jumped out of a plane once and would do it again on a clear day. Motorcycles, Fast cars, and roulette are some of the stuff I enjoy. I love speed. Looking forward to seeing the Dodge motorcycle concept that pushes 300+ miles per hour and 0-60 2.6 secs. at the International Auto Show. |
